Dr Sun handles simple to complex dental treatment with great skill.
What’s best is how comfortable I am during the treatment.  I feel no anxiety when visiting Dr Sun and his staff.  He has a very reassuring manner and takes the time to address concerns and answer questions.  

He never rushes, but he gets it done quickly because he really knows what he’s doing.

Cost is much less important than the quality of the medical and dental care — but I will say that costs are reasonable for outstanding dental care.

After working with Dr. Sun for quite a few years, I had seen first-hand the care and professionalism he has with his patients. So much so, that I still make the 3 hr drive a couple times a year to have him take care of my family(even though I work for a dentist out of state). His staff are friendly and are very knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Awesome staff and wonderful doctor. Never does any unnecessary work, and is always wonderful with my kids. He has done orthodontics on my son, and now my son has a gorgeous smile. Totally reasonable!

I have been going to Dr. Sun and his staff for over 10 years. They’re a great bunch of people. They take good care of me and my family. They definitely go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and everything is going well. And they listen to you! I have never had a bad experience with them.

I hate going to the dentist but Dr. Sun was amazing! Very calm and low key dentist yet he was very knowledgeable and is using the latest technology. He ONLY suggests stuff you need and won’t tell you to do things that you don’t need. Most dentists lie to you and tell you things you need to do to your teeth to make money off of you-but Dr. Sun was honest! I will keep getting my cleanings done every 6 months from him for life! Free parking and easy to find parking as well on 17th st. I am very happy and everyone should see him. His hours are not that great but its worth it to have an honest dentist!

I have been coming to Dr. Sun for more than 10 year and he has always been professional and easy to talk to ( for reference, I’m 23 years old when I wrote this review). While the staff has change over the years,  every staff member I have met have been amazing and very helpful. They were accommodating when I went to a university in San Diego (2 and half hours away) while having brace. If you want an accommodating and pleasant experience, I recommend coming here.

(…)He is a GREAT dentist, he cares about your teeth and not how many extras he can sell to you.   He’s honest and thorough, something very hard to find in a dentist these days.   I’ve referred family to him and they are all just as happy as mine.   We’ll be going to him forever.

Gentle and very reasonable with prices we don’t have insurance and they won’t break the bank lol Dr. Sun is great and so is the staff -very friendly!

Dr. Sun is a very easy to deal with he makes you feel  very relaxed and explains all you need to know, he is also is very gentle and precise in his treatments. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a great dentist.

My new dentist for life. I’ve been searching for a dentist for years. Every 6 months I go to a new dentist because every time I have a negative experience. Luckily I (saw an advertisement) at my home for Dr Sun. Decided to read his reviews and Yelp then decided to make an appointment. First off, it’s a nice office, staff is extremely nice. Dr Sun is really sweet and explained everything he was looking at. Experience was awesome. I even made my next appointment for my next 6 month check up, which I never do. FYI if you have TMJ, he and his hygienist are gentle. Something I struggle every time I go to the dentist. First time ever that I leave a dentist and my TMJ doesn’t cause me issues after.

Dr Tao Sun is one of the best Dentists I have ever been to. He does not try to up sell you on unnecessary expensive procedures and is creative to find an inexpensive simple way to solve a problem. He also is very reasonable if you do not have insurance. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Sun and his assistant, Samantha, were great!  Their office is clean and their bedside manner is impressive; they are very personable and gentle, while being thorough and informative.  I’ll be back for my next cleaning.

I’ve have known about Dr. Sun for a few years now. His office is located in a beautiful area by the beach. He is truly a very nice and honest dentist. Never pushes anything on you and makes you feel at ease especially if you have any dental anxieties. Will highly recommend Dr. Sun to anyone that is looking for a great dentist !!

Best dentist and hygienist I’ve ever had hands down. They made us feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire visit. The ladies in the front office are so friendly and helpful with scheduling appointments as well. My entire family goes there now and we couldn’t be happier with the service provided :-).

My family has been going to Dr. Sun for quite sometime and are extremely happy! I lost a tooth just as everything was closing down due to Covid-19 in March 2020. Dr. Sun made a point to take care of getting my tooth installed , before he had to close his practice per state guidelines. Great practice, best dentist around in our humble opinion.

Dr. Sun and his staff are wonderful! They accommodate me and my son by giving us back-to-back teeth cleaning and check up appointments since we live out of town. Dr. Sun and his hygienist (Nicole) are helping me with a little problem with my bite. I was scared I had a bad tooth. Dr. Sun clearly explained how we will diagnose and treat my problem. He’s so clever and cares! Dr. Sun has kept his offices (2 locations) open during our COVID conditions. Other dentists have closed their offices. I learned that Dr. Sun has picked up a number of those patients to help with their dental needs. I appreciate Dr. Sun keeping his doors open! I’m sure those patients appreciate him as well. FANTASTIC DENTIST!!!! He really cares more about his patients than any dentist I have ever met in my life. If he could I think he would do everything for free, his prices are always reasonable and he does a very thorough job, even does his cleanings himself. I have only had one cavity in my life and he filled it. He is a great person and an excellent dentist!

My family and I have had all of our dental and orthodontic work performed by  Dr Sun and his staff for over a decade. Now my adult children continue to go to him with their spouses and families. He cares about his patients and goes out of his way to make everyone comfortable. He is flexible when an urgent matter needs attention. He is also flexible with payments etc. His prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Dr Sun and his staff.

If you know and have been to Dr. Sun you will know right away he is one of the best around. He has been seeing myself, my wife and our 7 year old for years and we are always more than pleased each time we visit. He is honest,trustworthy and gentle and his office is always very clean and up to date. I would recommend him to anyone looking for quality care you can trust.

(…)I had a pretty bad, persistent toothache from a cavity, and two other dentists recommended root canals at several hundred dollars. Dr. Sun told me that he recommended removing the tooth (a back molar), and since it was impacting a wisdom tooth, the wisdom tooth would grow in in about 6 months and replace it. I was lucky because I had a “replacement tooth” right next to it. I don’t know why none of the other dentists told me this, but it was the best option and only cost me a little over 100. He extracted the tooth right then and there, and it was an immediate relief and healed very quickly.

I came back for a full/cleaning exam and was completely happy with Dr. Sun’s expertise, professionalism, and kindness. Dental work has always scared the beejezus out of me and I have sensitive gums, and I’m sure he can tell by the death grip I had on the chair arms, but everything was completely fine, even without anesthesia for the cleaning. He is honest, straightforward, and kind, stopping to ask every once in a while if I’m OK during a procedure and explaining exactly what he’s going to do, exactly what I need, and how long he recommend I can wait before needing it done. He didn’t try to nickel and dime me like other offices. His hygienist is great and very sweet too (…)

If you are looking for a great dentist – look no further.  Dr. Sun is a skilled and patient dentist.  He answers all your questions and goes out of his way to accommodate his patients.  And best of all – he does not gouge you and hit you up for endless charges – he is very reasonable with his prices.  All in all – a great find!  If they allowed me to – I would give him 6 stars!

Dr.Sun is great. I first went to him in 2014, when a filling fell out. It was gold and he was able to clean the tooth and reuse the filing….I had it in my purse for 6 months, only charge (a reasonable fee). I have now been going to him for 5 years. I had my first cavity last month, I was really scared. He had to remove an old filling and redrill the entire tooth… BUT it was painless and he did such a great job. I haven’t had any problems with it.  He is a great Dentist.

Dr. Sun office is the best dental office i have ever been to. they don’t try to up sale you on procedures you don’t need and DR. Sun is a perfectionist so you will get the best care.

I’ve been to dentist all over the desert and this is by far my favorite one yet. It’s close to home, convenient, and they very flexible with my work schedule! Located in a nice CLEAN office, and the staff is very friendly! I would recommend any friends or family members to come here.

I was recommended to Dr. Sun by a coworker after I had (a bad experience) and I wanted a second opinion.  I could not be happier that I have found Dr. Sun!! He told me that I did not even need the procedure that the other firm had said was mandatory.  I have been going to him ever since (for several years) and have always found the experience both pleasant and refreshing.  He is honest, spends time with you, his prices are very reasonable and he and does not try to scam you like so many other dentists these days.  I recommended him to another coworker who was afraid of dentists and had been having serious mouth pains.  She went to him and he told her that she didn’t have any tooth, problems, she just had a sinus infection, so she went and got antibiotics and was so happy that the pain she had felt for a while was gone.  She raved about him as well.  His office staff is also always friendly and professional.  Best dentist I have been to ever!!

I LOVE MY DENTIST ! Words you truly never hear, I feel so lucky to be able to say that phrase . Dr Tao is gentle and patient and so very kind . His office is very clean , inviting and professional. He is a dentist that gives you a forecast of what is needed and doesn’t sell you on insecurities of vanity or emotion. Mentionable as well is the front desk Lupe , I swear she can do anything . She makes you feel very welcome , she makes room on the books for new and existing customers alike . She is amazing at scheduling and putting your nerves at ease . They are all very delightful and wonderful to be around . This practice is the very example of when you have a great team great work happens . Dr Sun is always upbeat and he and his front office staff, dental assistants and hygienists, are all extremely pleasant people and outstanding at their respective jobs. We have been with Dr Sun for over 12 years and have never had an unpleasant experience. He is always available for dental emergencies and takes very good care of his patients. We highly recommend Dr Sun for all your dental needs.

Every member of my little family loves Dr.Sun. We travel all the way from Chino Hills just to see him. He provides gentle care and he is most knowledgeable. There is no other dentist for us.
