At Smile Alive in Springfield, Dr. Baarstad and her staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.  Dr. Baarstad listens and will answer all of your questions.  I’m a high anxiety dental patient due to a lot of dental work and some of it wasn’t a good experience.  She made sure I was as comfortable as possible and I’m very comfortable going back.  Highly recommended!!

Just got a new crown on a tooth by Dr. Baarstad.  She did it in one visit!  Fantastic, I’ve had a number of crowns put on by other dentists and I can say Smile Alive is the place to get a crown.  The procedure was easy and the next day I had absolutely no discomfort.  My wife and I both go to Smile Alive for all our dental work and we aren’t  going anywhere else ever.  We highly recommend Dr. Baarstad and her staff.

I am so thankful I chose Smile Alive as my new dental office. My previous dental experience was a bad one – my dentist was unprofessional, and more focused on trying to sell me things I didn’t need (namely Invisalign) than paying attention to my teeth. That dentist made the decision not to fill a tiny cavity on the basis that as long as I flossed and brushed, it wouldn’t get serious. Well, it did get worse, to the point where he told me I might need a root canal. Understandably upset, I chose to seek out a new dentist. I’d heard good things about Smile Alive and Dr. Baarstad in the past, so I decided to give the office a try. Moreover, I wanted a second opinion on my possible root canal. They filled several cavities after my first visit, and additionally informed me I probably wouldn’t need the root canal. I felt extremely grateful for the news, especially since they had saved me around $3000. Moreover, the staff at Smile Alive are very honest. One of the first cavities that I had filled there was not put in quite right – there wasn’t enough space left between the teeth where the cavity was filled. Because they noticed that it was their mistake, Dr. Baarstad offered to refill the cavity for free, I just had to pay a copay for the visit. It’s these actions that will keep me coming back to Dr. Baarstad’s office for as long as I can. When it comes to preventative care, the staff at Smile Alive are very on top of it. They’re always quick to inform me when they see a potential cavity or other problem with my teeth, and prompt plans are made to fix the problems. In general, the staff at Smile Alive is very professional, and does as much as they can to make sure you’re comfortable. Even the reception staff is very aware of your wait time – there were a couple of times I had to wait about 15-20 mins… unusual for their office. But for both of those times, they offered me free movie ticket vouchers as a thank-you for my patience. Overall, I’ve had nothing but good experiences, and I would highly recommend checking them out! They have one location in the Coburg Rd. area of Eugene, and another location in Springfield. If you aren’t happy with your current dentist, I would definitely suggest setting up an appointment with Smile Alive.

Hands down the best Dentistry Team I have ever encountered. Dr. Baarstad and her staff are professional and welcoming from the minute you walk in. Their new office has a warm ambience with a home like feeling. From the office staff to the hygienist, dental assistant and Dr. Baarstad herself, I was thoroughly impressed. I have had a serious fear of dentists because of a bad experience when I was younger. I found smile alive and instantly felt welcomed like I was family. Everyone from the dentists to the staff is absolutely amazing. My fear of the dentist is diminishing and I feel more comfortable and less stressed each time I come here. Dr. Baarstad and her staff, at both locations (Eugene & Springfield), are top notch. They have always been very friendly, helpful and honest. They are gentle, but thorough, and I leave each visit feeling like my teeth are being well taken care of. They all help me know how I am doing at taking care of preventing plaque build-up. The office staff is really helpful at helping me come up with the best plan to work on my needs and to maximize my insurance plan. They are never judgmental if I can not afford everything all at once, we just keep working at it. Makes it a joy to work with the staff. I would definitely recommend Dr. Baarstad and Smile Alive to anyone who needs a great dentist and office.

Dr Baarstad is one of the best dentists I have ever been to (and I have been to a lot)!! Over the weekend I had a tooth abscess and she saw me right away and made me as comfortable as possible.  Her and her staff got me into see the specialist I needed to fix the problem right away.  Both the Dr and her staff are caring and compassionate and do what they can to assess your needs and take care of you.  Dr Baarstad is a dentist I will continue to go to!!

I recently started going to Smile Alive for my dentistry and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the service and care that i receive. I put my appointment into my calendar wrong and their hygienist came back from lunch early to get me in and out of the office as quickly as possible. Terri also gave me a road map to getting all of my dental needs taken care of. I’ve seen a lot of different dental offices throughout my life and this one is simply top notch. If you’re looking for someone you can trust and who does excellent work you’ve come to the right place.

I can not put in to words how EXCELLENT my multiple visits have been with Dr. Terri Baarstad and her staff. You usually have to pick between caring and kind or completely competent and innovative- this office has both. Terri is always up on the latest technology, treatments, and material. She is constantly learning more and more ways to make her practice cutting edge and it shows in her work. Her staff are completely right there with with her in every way. They offer you a blanket, genuinely care about you, and get you in a chair and out with a smile in record time. They are just as efficient as her. Could not be HAPPIER. This is the dentist to see.
