Without a doubt, this is the best dental practice I have ever used.  I was greeted on time by very attentive and well-trained staff.  Doctor Hoffmann makes sure all needs are met and that the procedure is done right.  This was the first time I had sedation dentistry and I highly recommend Dr. Hoffmann.   His office has all the latest equipment and all employees have regular continuing education.  He made my implant procedure go so smoothly.  Every day I marvel at what he was able to do for me.  Dr. Hoffmann and staff are very caring have a professional attitude.

The entire team at The Dental Anesthesia Center is amazing. I came to know Dr. Hoffman by another Dentist’s recommendation due to excessive pain and difficulty in managing it during treatment. Dr. Hoffman is patient, kind and professional. The kindness of the staff is exemplary. I am not going to tell you that my anxiety isn’t through the roof when I am on my way to the office, but by the time I’m finished I feel like I visited my friends. I can’t recommend them enough!

I initially came to see Dr. Hoffmann because of my great fear of dentistry in general and saw him and had surgery done by him which went very well. He is a kind and compassionate and gentle dentist. Couldn’t ask for better. I liked the fact he uses anesthesia. That way I was able to have all my work done at once. I have been continuing to go to his office every 6 months for cleanings and Dr. Mayer sees me each time and checks everything out and I find her not only professional but as kind and compassionate as Dr. Hoffmann. On a side note, Dianna is absolutely wonderful and as gentle as she can be. I feel much more comfortable and confident about going to the dentist because of experiences with this dental group. The entire office staff is wonderful and helpful. I am soooooo happy I found them.

I have been a patient at the Dental Anesthesia Center (DAC) for 10 years. What a great group of people — so capable and professional but yet so down-to-earth! Their ability to offer the full range of dental anesthesia – including treatment while asleep – gave me the confidence to stop avoiding (and fearing) proper dental care. The St. Louis area is indeed fortunate that Dr. Hoffmann established the DAC here. He is a true dental pioneer whose unique skills helped me address some complicated dental issues. My current dentist on the DAC team (Dr. Daugherty) has amazing dentist skills and a wonderful personality — which instills trust and confidence in anxious patients like me. She has treated me (while awake and with zero pain!) for two new crowns and the replacement of large old fillings… procedures that I never thought I could handle. If you become her patient you will soon (like me) have Dr. Daugherty on your favorite people list! Dianna is a great hygienist whose friendly smile helps us relax … and whose skills and coaching keep our teeth (and gums — don’t forget the gums!) in tip-top shape. And the office team is very efficient and welcoming — with always a smile and a kind word. I owe a debt of gratitude to the DAC. They have changed my dental life

My son is on the autism spectrum with Sensory Processing Disorder. Dr. Hoffmann and his team were AMAZING! You can tell they truly care about their patients. They were very understanding and patient with my son. They took their time with him and were so sweet. My son finally has a dentist he is willing to go to and that alone is amazing! I seriously recommend Dr. Hoffmann and his staff for anyone with special needs or simply a fear of the dentist. They will put your mind at ease.

My experience at this dental office when I had dental implants, veneers, root canals, and crowns with oral sedation was comfortable, relaxing, and friendly even though I am usually afraid of treatment and I was also happy to find out they could comfortably treat my daughter with general anesthesia who has autism and dental fears and has a history of toothaches and needs her wisdom teeth removed.  I have never had such a good dental experience before.

Simply the Best Dentists in Saint Louis. This is cutting edge dentistry and equipment. No other dentist office I have been to have such sophisticated cavity, root decay and pre-oral cancer diagnostic and detection equipment. Problems are found early and are easily resolved instead of when they have advanced. Regular check-ups and cleanings are at another level as well with both above and below the gum line intervention. If there is a problem, this office has the best techniques for numbing agents as well as anesthsia. For minor problems such as cavities, these dentists are fast and painless as well as for more serious issues such as root canals, implants or crowns. Dr. Hoffmann is also an anesthsiologist for more complex cases, those with special needs, handicap patients or people with gag reflex issues. Staff is wonderful! Thanks for all you do! 5 Star!

I WAS ASLEEP FOR MY DENTAL TREATMENT! Sleep Dentistry here in Saint Louis is the way to go to the dentist, especially with my dental phobia. Dr. Hoffmann and the girls were compassionate and caring to me. I had all my dental work completed in one appointment WHILE I WAS ASLEEP FOR MY DENTAL TREATMENT! Seriously, it doesn’t get any better than that! Thank you! You all are so wonderful!

What can I say to express my gratitude to DR. Hoffman and his wonderful and caring staff that does them justice???I have over the top anxiety of dentists and the whole process..as hard as I tried, just couldn’t go..I was in need of major dental work-my teeth were terrible and unhealthy..a friend suggested Dr. Hoffmann and his office…so scared walking in the first time…EVERYONE there made me feel safe and comfotable..and put me at ease..recently had my the oral surgery there(woke up from it feeling good)..WOW…can’t thank everyone there enough…to anyone reading this…don’t be afraid…this is the place to go……

Dr. Hoffmann and staff are absolutely amazing. Our son Josh has special needs, and the care, patience, dedication, and expertise shown to us by The Dental Anesthesia Center is so valuable to us-regular dental offices don’t work out well for our son. Every step of the way they keep us informed of what dental care is being provided; and pre-op instructions and planning clearly have a lot of thought put into them to make the process as easy as possible. Thank you for being so dedicated to serving special needs children.

Dr. Hoffmann is the best dentist for kids with anxiety. We took our daughter to several different pediatric dentists in town as well as our regular dentist and she wouldn’t let any of them perform any work on her until we met Dr. Hoffmann. She was immediately at ease with him and let his staff do x rays and take a look at her teeth with no problem. We came back a few weeks later for general anesthesia and they did fillings, a cleaning, and sealants. She had the best experience. No one pressured her to do anything beyond her comfort level, they were all very patient and kind. I can’t say enough good things about this practice. I never felt rushed. They even let me stay with my daughter for all of her appointments and until she was under for her sedated appointment which most pediatric dentists in town will not allow. It made all the difference.

After one consultation by Dr. Hoffman and the assurance of getting all my work done at once under sedation, I lost my long standing fear of seeing the DDS. Everything promised to me was on-point – and my recovery from procedures has been great. Every employee was professional and my treatment was business like with a nice touch of patience and friendliness. I appreciate that at my age. I never felt I was judged or rushed. After a few decades of avoidance, I’m more than happy to have my next cleaning booked and without dread. I want to thank every person there I came into contact with, especially Dr. Hoffman. Although my wish is to never need work again beyond checkups, cleaning, and x-rays – I know I’ve found the best of the best. Patients can expect excellent communication from this practice, clear costs and responsibilities, and follow up by the staff after procedures. Thank you. Highly recommended.

The experience I had at the Dental Anesthesia Center was great! I have a 8 year old special needs daughter that needed sleep dentistry to have her treatment completed. She needed a lot of fillings, sealants and stainless steel crowns done.  Without Dr. Hoffmann and his awesome staff this would not have been possible. They were very caring and understanding. We will continue to see Dr.Hoffmann and his staff on a regular basis, and refer friends and family to them

I have been seeing Dr. Hoffmann and Dr. Mayer for many years for my dental care. They are always very thorough and really care about my dental health as well as my overall health. BEST dentistry for dental anxiety Clayton, MO. I have been searching for a dentist to ease my child’s dental anxiety. Dr. Hoffmann and his team were so caring and understanding with my son Matthew!!!! Highly recommended, they know their stuff when it comes to sedation dentistry here in St. Louis. Found dental treatment for Autism here in Saint Louis! It makes my family so happy to have found a dentist for special needs. My brother is autistic and experienced numerous traumatizing dental appointments until we found Dr. Hoffmann. This was the BEST DENTAL appointment my brother has ever had. THANK YOU!! I wanted to find a sedation dentist. I finally found someone who really cares!!!!!!! and I trust! I wanted to find someone who could put me to sleep for root canal, crown ,implants and extractions. Sedation or sleep dentistry interested me. I have a severe gag reflex and have a needle phobia. My anxiety has caused me to neglect my teeth for years. The relief I experienced at my first visit is something I have never experienced at a dental office. I was embarrassed at first but they were so reassuring and really took the time to explain what was wrong and why it happened and all the different options I had. Costs were a concern for me but they had several suggestions to make it affordable. My smile is important to me, but they were also very health oriented. They asked a lot of questions and in the process I learned a lot about my overall health. I had sleep apnea with bad snoring. They completed all my dentistry in one visit and I am now being treated for the sleep apnea. They made my snore guard and I haven’t slept this good in years! neither has my family!! They even treat people who don’t need sedation, so my husband and kids are patients too. My children love the female dentist because she has video games in the kids treatment room!!!! Anyway, I was so impressed with the quality of care and personal relationships their staff provide I just had to share this!!!!! Mrs. B

This place is AMAZING! They got Chayse settled very easy this morning and now she is under…getting all 4 of her wisdom teeth out and treat a couple small cavities and of course …a good cleaning…. The staff is WONDERFUL…everyone of them SUPER SWEET and Dr Thomas is AMAZING! We had Dr Hoffman in 2017 and he was GREAT as well. I am beyond blessed to have found this office, autism is hard enough without trying to find good medical care and staff who understand not only how hard it is on our kiddos but hard on us parents as well …hit the nail on the head here…GREAT PLACE! Wish I knew they could draw blood for other Drs that want labs…i wouldve called all her Drs and ordered every test! Immunizations too! Wonderful Wonderful place
