Just returned from seeing Dr. Hovsepian. I am not exaggerating when I say this was the best experience I have ever had going to the dentist. I let doctor Hovsepian know that I have extremely sensitive gums and that I usually need many shots of Lidocaine to numb me out even during the exam and cleaning. She was very empathetic and suggested that I try a numbing gel that she had instead. I was skeptical, but gave it a shot. The combination of Dr. Hovsepian’s gentle touch and the gel worked like a charm. Dr. Hovsepian has a wonderful disposition, as well. She’s a genuine person. She doesn’t come in trying to upsell you on everything or claim that you need this or that when you don’t, then rush you out the door. She truly seems to care. I also want to give a huge shout-out to Vanessa, doctor Hovsepian’s assistant. She’s amazing – very friendly, funny, and professional. And a fellow New York transplant! I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually had a good time.

My husband and I both recently went to Dr. Hovsepian’s office for cleanings. We moved to the area recently and wanted to find a dentist near us so we weren’t driving back down to the west side. Staff upfront was friendly upon entry and they have you go through a checklist to check for any Covid symptoms. They were wiping down and cleaning the exam/cleaning areas between patients and Dr. Hovsepian was so incredibly nice and friendly. She asked us both about any concerns or issues and is so gentle with her cleaning and exam. We both liked her and are so glad we had such a great experience and have found a new dentist near us! Highly recommend to anyone looking. Oh in case you are like us and have a hard time finding the office upon arrival to the plaza it’s on the back side upstairs on 2nd floor next to core power yoga 🙂

I’ve been seeing this Dentist since the transition from A-One Dentistry. One of the few authentic dentists in Los Angeles who I trust. So far it has been two years that I’ve been coming here for routine services and I had some minor dental work done here. From my experience, I can tell you that I never felt any sales pressure, or intimidated to have procedures done that I didn’t need. Never had issues with billing or being mistreated (See my previous reviews on my past dental experiences with other dentists). Dr. Hovesepian (hope I spelled it right) is a clear example of what a dentist should be.

I cannot believe all the fake and paid reviews out there on Yelp for other terrible dentists I’ve seen! I can guarantee that I am 100% genuine and a true patient of Dr. Hovsepian’s and she is the only dentist I would ever trust with my teeth. I had broken my front tooth and was stressing out about a full-mouth renovation because of one tooth. Well, Dr. Hovsepian gave me a virtually pain-free and minimally-invasive option to bond the tooth instead, and it cost me 1/4th the cost of a crown and has stayed strong for years and years! She matched the shape and color perfectly, and I was able to smile again! Plus, I have a tiny mouth and TMJ, and her delicate and quick hands make all the procedures I’ve had with her a breeze. Her dental cleanings are painless, and I’m such a chicken for pain!! I’ll never go to a male dentist again with big man fingers probing into my mouth! Trustworthy, friendly and excellent service! Let me start by saying my visit to Dr H was my second dentist appointment in one week and I was putting her to the test. I had an exam at another dentist and they said I needed $1,200 – $2,000 of work done! I knew my teeth were in good shape and that seemed ridiculous. So I decided to get a second opinion and went to Dr. H and did not tell her I had seen a dentist earlier that week. Dr. H did the exam and regular cleaning and told me my teeth and gums looked great! When I told her that another dentist said I needed expensive deep cleaning and scaling done she was in disbelief. I put her to the test and she earned my trust. She took the time to connect with me as a patient and did not pressure me into any unnecessary procedures – as no dentist should! I’ll be back in a few months for another cleaning!

Dr H is the best dentist I’ve ever had. I’ve been going to her for about seven years. I’ve followed her to every location she’s been at since then! (Kinda stalker-ish but I just love her!) She is one of the kindest people I’ve met and is so gentle when she’s cleaning my teeth, filling cavities, or making my mouth guard. She truly cares about her patients and you feel that. She takes the time to chat with you and is just a really authentic, caring person. I love going to see her because it’s like seeing an old friend. Dr. Hovsepian is a great dentist located in the valley. I was a bit nervous about choosing a new dentist when my insurance changed, but she had great reviews and I set up an appointment. The office staff is very professional and helpful. They were able to get me in quickly, communicated rules set by insurance and work with them, and also helped me find the office the morning of (there’s some construction going on, they’re on the second floor). Dr. Hovsepian herself is personally very warm and as a doctor very thorough. Really, what more can you ask for? Dr. Tsolair is a true professional. In my opinion She practices the art of dentistry far more than the business of a dental office. I felt she was more concerned with the work and my well being than making a large profit. Finally a dentist I can trust. Dr. Tsolair helped me with a crown that my previous dentists said would need a root canal. But Dr. Tsolair didn’t think so. She managed to do it without one and it has worked out great. I also had two cracked teeth in the front that were unattractive. Both my previous dentists had dismissed doing any work on them other than recommending crowns or expensive veneers. Dr. Tsolair didn’t think so. She bonded them and they look and work beautifully. I am so happy. I have switched my whole family over to see Dr. Tsolair and will continue to recommend her excellent honest practice.

Dr. Hovsepian fixed 4 cavities on my 8 year old without a peep from her (the 8 year old not the dentist, lol). She has TVs for the little ones to entertain them while she works. Dr. Hovsepian is an amazing dentist. I have been going to her for the last 5 years and enjoy the fact that she takes a more conservative approach. In the past I went to a dentist who I felt was drill happy. Every time I went in, it felt like he was testing to see if my gums contained any oil because his attitude was “drill baby drill”!!! With Dr. Hovsepian, we took a more conservative approach. She noticed a small chip/irregularity on one of my molars, I wouldn’t call it a cavity. She photographed it and she kept tabs on it over a few visits. Finally she noticed it had changed slightly and we had a discussion about fixing it, which I agreed to do. She showed me the photos of what was going on and I felt very confident in my decision to proceed. I will never go to another dentist!!!!!

A true Los Angeles native, Dr. Tsolair was born in sunny Santa Monica, CA and raised in the "westside" of LA. She moved to Sherman Oaks, CA when she got married and has lived there ever since. She attended high school in Encino, where she graduated as valedictorian of her class. She then received her B.S. in Psychobiology from UCLA in 2000, and subsequently her DDS degree from UCLA in 2004. Dr. Tsolair has since worked in private practice in different types of dental offices all over the city, including owning her own office until the birth of her third child. She and her husband have 3 beautiful children: Mariana, Areni, and Arame. And she is a"dance mom", having spent hours upon hours over the years at the Plaza De Oro shopping center waiting for her daughters at the neighboring Degas Dance Studio. She is beyond excited to further her career during this exciting era of dentistry at The Dental Studio! Dr. Tsolair is a long time member of the ADA, CDA, and San Fernando Valley Dental Society.
