I don’t usually have a lot of problems with my teeth. So, I’ve learned to be skeptical of dentists who say I have dozens of cavities and need to spend thousands of dollars in their offices – which is what happened a couple months before I visited Dr. Rohleder. I went to the Downtown Dentist for a second opinion. From the moment I entered the office, I felt good about the practice. The staff was awesome. Dr. Rohleder was great. Everyone was joking and entertaining. They made me feel at ease. Where the last dentist I saw told me I had three times more cavities than I’d had in the 30 years of my life before that, Dr. Rohleder told me I had none. I would be charged for my X-rays and cleaning, but I would not need to spend another penny in her office. Since I don’t have dental insurance and don’t usually have issues with my teeth, I like to go a little less frequently than every six months. They don’t give me a hard time about that at the Downtown Dentist and the charge is exceedingly reasonable. Not only that, the staff and the doctor always seem to remember me and I feel really good going there. I never spend more than an hour in the office and I’m never left waiting. This dental office is amazing. The doctor and everyone in the office is clearly there because they care about their patients and because they like each other and enjoy a good work environment. I don’t usually write online reviews, but the Downtown Dentist absolutely earns 5 stars.

This is seriously the best Dentist office ever. I have grown up with a couple good Dentists over the years when I was a kid that are perfectly polite and not scary to visit but this place takes it to another level. Everyone here is really kind, enjoys thier job, and makes it a relaxing place to visit for a checkup or any type of dental work needed. I also have gotten sincere tips and tricks from the employees here about better cleaning techniques, suggestions for or against certain routes of treatment that feel genuinely offered and not just telling me to brush and floss more and leaving it at that. I also appreciate how much care and concern everyone has for the patient being comfortable during a procedure and really stressing to speak up if anything it bothering you or uncomfortable.

I have had very positive experiences at this dental office. Julia is great -welcoming, relaxed, and recognizes that not everyone enjoys having dental work done. The new (to this office) dentist Rodolfo is great too. He was calm and seemed focused. He was clear about the procedure and about what to expect. The dental hygienists and techs who have worked with me are excellent ( just likes nurses, those working with the Dr. can make all the difference!). The staff at the desk are pleasant, attentive, efficient and organized. I definitely recommend the Downtown Dentist.

Dr Julia really puts in the extra effort to make her work as good as it can be. I had a difficult molar crown and she just kept reworking it until she got it perfect. She has continuously upgraded her crown milling software and hardware and her skill at using it. The new 3D laser imaging and crown milling equipment still requires patience and skill to get it perfect. She works hard at her craft and has fun doing it.

They are my favorite! I’ve had three dentists in my life and this one is by far the best. The hygienists are very gentle (and I have sensitive teeth so this is very important to me), and the entire staff is incredibly friendly. When I needed my retainer repaired they worked with me to find an economical solution. For me, they are extremely conveniently located, but if you don’t work downtown they will give you change for the meter.

I decided to go here based off of yelp reviews – and I am so glad I did! The staff was very friendly, and I especially loved Susie (not sure how you spell her name!) the hygienist. She made me feel comfortable and talked to me during the whole cleaning. I much preferred the specific kind of vibrating water jet pick they use instead of the hand tools – I only wish I had come to them sooner. Very nice and new place as well. Would highly recommend!

Like the vast majority of people, I hate going to the dentist and put it off for years. Finally decided to go back, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. I originally picked this place because it was within walking distance to work. Now I work on the opposite end of the city, but I’ll still make the drive rather than look for another dentist. The front-desk staff is great – very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help. I’ve never had to wait around when showing up on time – and usually they can get me back there a few minutes early. Dr. Rohleder is always there to check on how things are going – even for a routine cleaning she stops by for a final check. I’ve had a few cavities filled, and the procedure always painless (both figuratively and literally). I have a really hypersensitive gag-reflex, which makes dental work difficult. They’re always willing to work with me, while I’ve had dentists who treat it like an act. I’m sure it varies with specific insurance companies, but when it comes to Delta Dental, they bill directly, so I never have to worry about my insurance. Another nice service they offer is that they offer text reminders about appointments (usually a month before and then again the day before). If all dentist offices were like this, people wouldn’t hate having their teeth cleaned so much.

The staff here are really friendly and accomidating to their patients. We just visited there today and had to reschedule a few times to meet our hectic schedule, they worked with us to enable a one day visit for the entire family. The professionalism and kindness they showed our child was exceptional to say the least. We are so sad that we are moving away and hope that we can find a Dental Office as good as this one near our new home.

I love the Downtown Dentist and her staff. The amazing. Dr. Rohleder is incredible and she makes you feel like you have known her forever-honestly forever! Susie did my cleaning today and her personality is so cute and spunky that I soon forgot I was in the most dreaded chair ever. I hate going to the dentist, but I must say i do not mind visiting the office and staff. The scheduling is pretty flexible and almost have always been able to book my appointment so that it’s convenient to me walking home or walking from work. Dr Rohleder was recently in the newspaper on the front page celebrating being downtown for 10 years! Here’s to another 10 or 50 years 🙂

I have not been to a dentist in many years, but when I cracked off a large piece of my back molar one afternoon, I needed to find a reliable in-network dentist quickly. The Downtown Dentist office, recommended to me by people at work, was able to take me in first thing the next morning. I am very thankful for and very satisfied with my treatment yesterday. Before I arrived, I expected to have to have this molar extracted, but Dr. Rohleder was able to quickly make a crown for me that morning. She and her staff took the time to make me comfortable. Dr. Rohleder listened to my concerns before starting any procedures, and she talked to me about different reasonable options, which helped to calm me quite a lot. She was very gentle and precise and I consider my new molar to be the work of an artist. They also have a new piece of equipment that softly and “moistly” holds jaws open (relieving a lot of the stress and pressure of trying to do that myself – that I remember having to deal with during previous procedures experienced many years ago) and I found this piece of equipment to be extremely helpful. While making my payment, I made appointments next week for a regular visit for myself and my husband as well, who also hasn’t visited a dentist for many years.

Stopped back by Downtown Dentist today for a cleaning and repair a chipped tooth. As always, the hygienist was efficient and very courteous. I shared that I lost a crown a few weeks before and when it was discovered it was one that they did in 2019, they were so apologetic and refunded my money. I wasn’t looking for recompense, but they insisted. I am always impressed by the staff, their care, and now their business practices. I encourage others to give them a try as well.

I moved to Colorado Springs four years ago and during that time have visited several dentists. Fourth time is the charm 🙂 I’ve been treated with respect by all staff and appreciate the friendly attitude prevalent at The Downtown Dentist. The location is convenient and they pay for your parking right in front of the office. Thank you for that. Luis at the front desk greets you with a smile and schedules follow-ups with the same friendly attitude. I even got a personal text from him when I confused two appointments. Melissa took x-rays and performed my cleaning with precision and caring. Thank you Melissa, for encouraging me in my dental care without being condescending. Dr. Rohleder is knowledgeable and efficient while demonstrating a positive and friendly demeanor. She finds out what your needs are, determines how to best meet them, and develops a treatment plan. I recently had to have several fillings replaced, including some molar surfaces. Bernie was just amazing in completing that task. When I first had these fillings done many years ago at a previous dentist in another state, I had to go back a couple of times because I was having problems with my bite. Not with Bernie’s magical touch. Perfect the first time. I was amazed and so very appreciative. Overall, just very nice people who care about their patients. So from this not so eager dental patient, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I found The Downtown Dentist because we live downtown and it’s convenient, but they also have the friendliest staff and are so helpful. We love Dr. Rohleder! She does great work but she’s also fun and helps you relax (which can be hard in the dentist chair). I recently chipped a tooth and they had me in and out, good as new, within an hour!

Dr. Julie and her staff was one of the best things about living in Colorado Springs! The whole office has a friendly and inviting atmosphere that makes your appointment more like a visit with friends than a trip to the dentist! Dr. Julie always took the time to stop and say hello even if my visit was with the hygienist, treating me like a friend and asking about my family. Not many professionals take the time to get to know their patients like the staff of the Downtown Dentist does!

This was my first experience here. I came in for a much needed check-up after not having insurance for 2 years. My hygienist was the best. I can’t remember her name unfortunately, but I will be requesting her for my next prophy.   Dr. Rohleder worked on older fillings of mine that needed replaced. Anesthetic works weird on me,  Dr was completely understanding. They tried their hardest to make me feel comfortable enough to have the procedures done. Dr. Gates’ and Dr. Rohleder’s assistants were also nice and professional too. The office is super clean and homey. Just a great practice all together.

As someone that hates the dentist, I avoid it at all costs. My experience here was outstanding. First, I’m uninsured and they are/were running a special for downtown residence, which I am, for 10% off. A cleaning that included x-rays was only $89. Not only were the rooms comfortable and clean, they had headsets and television screens where I could watch a movie to drown out the sounds of scrapping. OH – and speaking of scrapping, they use some sort of sonic-pulse tool that breaks up the tartar/plaque on your teeth first, in order to minimize the scrapping they have to do. All in all, it was a quick, painless trip. I’m going back for some fillings in a few weeks. I’ll let you all know how it goes!

Unlike my husband, I’m not a huge fan of the dentist. I don’t have great teeth, so I usually need to have some unhappy procedure done when I go. I’ve also not had great experiences at other dentists. Either they are rude, unsympathetic, too quick, or just not thorough. But not these guys. My cleaning was actually enjoyable, not because it was smooth going, but because the hygienist was fun, super nice and made a point to relate to me. I found out that I needed to go back to fill two small cavities. Naturally, I was filled with anxiety. Dr. Rohleder did her best to make me feel as comfortable as possible, and I swear, I couldn’t even tell when she gave me the numbing shot. The Downtown Dentist came highly recommended to me by my coworker and my boss, and I would absolutely recommend that office to anyone.
