Great office environment that makes me feel at ease. I go to the St. Petersburg location and followed my dental hygienist Ivy there when she came to work for Dr. O’Neal, The Family Dentist. She is the very BEST, and goes above and beyond to insure the most thorough teeth cleaning…a true professional and expert in her field. Thanks Ivy!

I just had my first visit to their Dentist office, and I was Absolutely blown away by the friendliness of the staff, the customer service and then overall care the staff showed while I was there. During my visit, Ivy kept me informed of what was going on with my teeth, and spent plenty of time making sure I knew everything I needed to know about how to keep my teeth healthy, and even gave me brushing tips. She was so friendly, so awesome, and I am so glad I was referred to this practice. I would definitely recommend everyone to check them out, and ask for Ivy!

I’m so grateful that I have found not only an amazing dentist, but a very thorough and knowledgeable hygienist. The office staff is super friendly and the office is esthetically on point. Dr O’Neal has been my dentist for 7 years. I’ve had a lot of dental issues that he’s helped me with and helped me find specialists that I needed. His staff at both offices is so genuinely caring and everyone’s bedside manner is better than anywhere I’ve been. Between the two offices, his availability for appointments is great.

Dr. O Neal Is a very caring and dedicated professional. His knowledge is up-to-date and he works ceaselessly until the result is perfect. I recently developed a problem over the Memorial Day weekend and I called the office. The recording gave me Dr. Oneal’s home phone number which I called. He called me right back and ordered the medicine I needed. He assured me that I should come in first thing after the weekend and he would take care of the problem. I was very impressed with his level of concern and follow-through. Thank you Dr. O’Neal!

I had an awesome experience! The employees there are extremely nice and respectful especially my dental hygienist, Natalie! I will be going back there from now on. Also everything gets done in a timely manner from making your appointment to getting in and out while doing the best job you could imagine. I’ve been recommending the family dentist of St. Pete to everyone I know and no complaints.

I wanted a quick cleaning during lunch and the family dentist provided that. The knowledge of the staff and doctors were amazing. My hygienist Natalie had me smiling big on the way out with great service and a wonderful atmosphere. Will recommend this place to everyone I know. Very pleased! Thank you.

This was my first time at the practice and I’m very satisfied. The front desk staff is very nice and helpful. Ivy, the dental hygienist, is super sweet and it’s obvious she takes great pride in her job and helping her patients. She did an amazing deep clean (probably the deepest clean I’ve ever had) and made sure I was comfortable the entire process with numbing gels, etc. She also took time to talk me through everything and explain the best practices going forward. Dr O’Neal was very kind and personable. I appreciated his conservative and honest approach to dental care. The appointment felt very thorough and I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a dentist. It’s evident the entire office operates for the patient vs for profit.

Drs. O’Neal and Brandimore and the entire staff have provided exceptional professional treatment in an extremely caring way to my mother who had extensive dental needs. She had been resistant to treatment for several years, but after 20 minutes with The Family Dentist team, she was so comfortable and confident in their abilities that she immediately agreed to their treatment plan. The entire team is aware that we both travel a long distance to their office and they work to accommodate our schedule! Their kindness goes beyond what anyone could imagine. The results of their highly skilled care has change my mother’s life! We can’t thank them enough!

After being in the dental field for so long as a dental assistant , I find it very difficult to find a good dentist to go to for my dental work. I’m new to this area and of course being a yelper , I went to yelp to find a dentist. I came across Dr O’Neal and he had a 5 star rating which I thought was too good to be true. Especially because he’s only 5 minutes away. Long story short I broke a tooth 2 days ago and had to make an appointment ASAP and the staff at this office got me in right away and everything was done in a timely manner. I had my appointment today and I have to tell you how great of an experience it was. I’m lucky, and am not afraid of the dentist so the experience is a little easier for me , but for others I’m sure this Dr will put a smile on your face and also be completely honest with you. Which is so hard to find these days with dental professionals. He even helped me out when I really needed it with the treatment plan. He was able to explain everything to me and even showed me pictures to see what he’s working with. He and his assistant both were very kind and humorous throughout the whole appointment. I ended up needed a buildup crown , and the whole procedure was absolutely painless. I actually was talking and laughing throughout. I mean , who can say that about their dental visit?! In just my one appointment I can tell that he really cares about his patients and wants to do what’s best. And I definitely admire that and appreciate that. Unfortunately I don’t know if they will be able to take my insurance in January , but let me tell you, even if they don’t , I’m going back. He was THAT good! So if you’re in the area and need a great dentist, he’s definitely worth a SHOT (lol) a little dental humor.

Dr. O’Neal and his staff are absolutely top notch. They are caring, professional, knowledgeable and the nicest people! I am so lucky to have found them because for the longest time I was a complete coward about dental care, but they take the time to educate about different issues, are very patient and care about the patient’s comfort. They have Monday through Friday hours and their beautiful office is immaculately clean and organized and has plenty of parking in the shade. They make reminder calls and have goodie bags of toothbrushes, floss and paste. Dr. O’Neal does charity dental work in Haiti and other impoverished areas and offers special dental care programs for local kids. Dental hygienist Debbie is excellent; she is genuine and caring and extremely knowledgeable and she takes the time to teach and to answer questions. Office manager Julie is kind and patient and very approachable. Sometimes there’s cake in the office. Bring your own fork. I actually look forward to my appointments because the staff feels like friends. I highly recommend Dr. O’Neal and his staff to anyone who wants a good dental experience and is interested in keeping their teeth. If you are a football fan or want to see dental memorabilia, this is also the place for you. Just don’t ask how they feed the virtual fish.

We love coming to see our dentist! When I tell my kids they’re going to the dentist, all 3 of them say, “Yay!” No kidding. He is kind, conservative, and I trust him completely with my whole family’s dental care. For my own teeth, he corrected a problem I have had for some time that no other dentist addressed. I recommend him to anyone seeking a new dentist.

Had the best experience here! I just moved to Tampa and needed to find a dentist. Ivy, Paige and Dr. O’Neal were so punctual and helpful and friendly! The aesthetic inside is comfortable and unique and makes you feel zero stress. They even gave me a blanket because I was wearing shorts and was a little chilly! Ivy got my teeth sparkling and didn’t clip me or hurt my teeth, very impressed. Definitely recommend

I had a last minute minor problem today. Julie got me in to see Dr Brandimore. The team of Dr B and Mary took care of my problem in a speedy and efficient manor. Drs. O’Neal and Brandimore have offices in Tampa as well as St Petersburg. If you are looking for a great hygienist, ask for Natalie. Efficient, friendly, professional, accommodating, and caring — I am giving The Family Dentist 5 stars !!
