I knew that I needed a lot of dental work and I was nervous about actually sitting in the chair and completing what I needed. The staff reassured me that the doctor would complete a full exam prior to starting any treatment. I was very impressed because the exam was so thorough. I only wish my PCP would do the same. The doctor and his staff emphasized making me feel comfortable through different levels of sedation, if I wanted that. After the exam, the doctor told me that he had many concerns, but he wanted some time to review the xrays, photos and impressions, so that he could give me some different options. I had the consult, in which I feel the dentist really listened to me and made sure I understood the treatment and the order in which it needed to be done. The dentist that treated me was very tall, but spoke very softly and with a lot of care in his voice. I do not want to use names, because both dentists were very helpful and I wouldn’t want my name on the internet. I completed the first appointment under sedation. It was the “stabilization” appointment. In which he treated all the teeth he thought were in the worst shape. The sedation was comfortable, but I was tired all day after the appointment. The second appointment I tried it without the full sedation and I did fantastic. They have cable televisions on an arm above the chair and you wear headphones, so I watched some shows and a little bit of the Red Sox game. I first thought the pricing was high. I asked around and I was pleased to find out that a dentist less than 3 miles away was much more expensive. Don’t get me wrong, it would have been nice to get it for free,, but I am a firm believer in, “You get what you pay for.” I made an excellent decision. I thought the quality of service was amazing and I received follow up calls after every appointment from the doctor, making sure everything felt and looked great. They should be an example to all dental offices. I thank my friend for the referral. My teeth look great and I am not afraid to smile any more.
