Dr. Houston has changed my life and smile. I had staining in the front two teeth. After visiting with him, he is amazing! My teeth are white and beautiful. Friends say I look much younger. He is friendly, fun and informative. His assistants Alicia and Bridget were also fun and lively. Cyndi and Monique in the office will make payments affordable and easy. Please see Thomas Houston, I am over the moon happy with my teeth! It’s going to change my life. Going to go on interviews now and make life changes. I was embarrassed of my smile before… no more! I appreciate everyone at Dr. Houston’s office who made my 2 crown appointments go so smoothly and not emotionally upsetting. Everyone seems happy working there and that rubs off–in a good way. AND the quality of their work is top-notch. Finally, I never felt that Dr. Houston was trying to make money off of me the way I have felt seeing several other dentists. In fact, they helped me get dental insurance that is saving me money. I cannot recommend Dr. Houston and his staff enough. They are simply wonderful.

A few weeks ago on a Thursday night I got my two front teeth chipped during my MMA practice. I later posted about it on social media and a good friend of mine recommended Dr. Houston. That next morning I got a call from there wonderful receptionist and were able to get me in ASAP! He even came in on his day off and was able to get it fixed with in an hour AND they took my insurance! He did an amazing job and I’ve gotten a bunch of compliments on what a great job he did. I couldn’t be more happy with him and his team! best dentist I’ve ever encountered!!!

I recently went for a check up and teeth cleaning. The dental hygienist was the best I ever had. She took pride in her work and made sure my teeth were perfectly clean. My husband had an appointment the previous week. He said it was his best experience ever at a dentist office. We LOVE this dentist!! We are relatively new to Eugene and originally chose a different dentist who we didn’t like much. We tried Dr Houston and first of all his staff is so great. You can tell everyone loves their job and there is a great energy in the office. It is very relaxing, they have state of the art equipment and Dr Houston takes a more conservative approach which is nice since most dentist want to sell you on everything at once. They gave us a treatment plan that works well with our insurance benefits saving us as much money as possible. We are so happy we found them! Highly recommend!

Update: Six years after moving to Portland from Eugene, I’m still driving down 3x/year for my appointments with Bridget and Dr. Houston. My cleanings cannot be beat – Bridget is kind and gentle and a pro. Dr. Houston has healed my long-time gum inflammation with his laser technique. Truly outstanding. Cindy, Monique and the entire staff are lovely, as well. You will not find better care in all of Oregon. Or perhaps the entire West Coast, for that matter, having lived in LA, SF, Eugene and Portland.

The best dental office I have ever been 2! A little Piece of Heaven on Earth. Everyone from the front desk to the X-ray to the dental hygienist to the doctor and lastly the checkout desk excelled in consideration, courtesy, kindness, and made me feel as if I was at home. Doctor Houston and his staff are incredible! I’ve never had to wait in the lobby when going in for an appointment. Everything is done timely and efficiently. The front office staff is very kind and helpful! The hygienists are very friendly and interpersonal and help you feel right at home, despite being in a dentist office! I got an appointment in less than 7 days. The office is very modern and everything is brand new. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Dr. Houston repaired my chipped crown, and he did such a good job, you can’t tell it was ever damaged. The price was less than I expected, and I got a discount for paying cash. I live an hour and a half away, but the drive was worth it. I highly recommend! March 2nd, 2020: called this morning, got an appt for this afternoon. I had an issue happen to a tooth on a Friday night and was concerned it wouldn’t last through the weekend. I called the emergency number on Saturday morning and discussed it with Dr. Houston. He gladly met me at his office on Saturday morning and put on a temporary filling to get me through the weekend. Top rated customer service in my book. Dr Houston is a great dentist , I had a terrible smile due to my front teeth after being broken years ago and had been bonded back together several times. He capped my teeth and now I have a beautiful smile . I wrote a not so nice review of him due to the fact that another tooth , not the front ones , broke after eating something what I think may have been a bone or some type of hard object . I got quite upset and wrote a rude review, which I now regret . So with that I feel the need to apologize to Dr Houston and his team that I have known for many years of great service to me as well as my family . Dr. Houston has been my dentist for about a year, and this is by far the best dental practice I’ve encountered yet (having lived in five different states). I was very nervous to get my first filling, and Dr. Houston and the staff listened to me seriously, addressed my concerns, and the experience was a breeze. Immediately upon becoming a patient with Dr. Houston, I had told them all the things I was hoping to do for the health of my teeth and to achieve a better smile. First off, was asking for a referral to an orthodontist to hopefully get braces. They replied, “we provide Invisalign!”. Not only was it more convenient to not have to travel between my dentist and orthodontist; they got me into the process right away. And if you would have told me I could have achieved the smile of my dreams in 6 months with Invisalign; Dr. Houston and the team offered more services I didn’t even know were possible or even available to make my smile even better than I could’ve imagined! On top of the already amazing cleanings and check ups I get, the staff is all wonderful and always made me feel so welcomed and so special; like they were taking my smile journey with me! They’re great at keeping updated on appointments and the phone calls are always so friendly! The staff are a wonderful bunch and great team! I use to think of going to the dentist as a huge burden, but being with Dr. Houston and his team, I don’t mind going, cause I know they’re going to provide amazing care in a welcoming environment. Each time, I leave the dentist feeling better and more confident than I did before! After Head and Neck Radiation Therapy for throat cancer, my oral environment has been severely compromised. I needed to have a full mouth restoration! Dr. Houston and his staff worked up a treatment plan and after many many visits I have a beautiful set of choppers! Dr. Houston’s meticulous attention to detail is magnified by the use of a microscope to preform micro-surgery magic! Special thanks to the staff for working with my schedule and insurance company!

Dr. Houston has a high attention to detail. He also has the latest high powered microscope. The higher magnification allows for minute abnormal variances in tooth structure (such as cavities or fractures) and surrounding tissue (such as periodontal disease) to be easily identified and often caught earlier. If your dentist doesn’t have one of those machines, check out Dr. Houston. Staff was experienced and friendly. Crown cost was less than either of my previous 3 dentists.

I moved to Portland more than a year ago and tried some dentists up here, but can’t find a dentist that comes close to the experience that Dr. Houston provides, so I drive to Eugene — a four-hour round trip — for my visits. He’s that good. And Brigit is the best hygienist I’ve ever had. Everyone in the office is kind and patient, the care is painless and efficient, and there is never a wait. Highly recommended.
