Dr. Thompson and staff were amazing. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. You don’t get the usual “sign in and have a seat” treatment. First time patients fill out information on their laptop kiosk and they guide you through as needed. Waiting room and exam rooms clean– the entire office is new and clean. They have high tech technology. For example the X-ray machine plays classical music instead of hearing the loud buzzing. My teeth cleaning was by Dr Thimpson. She was friendly, kind, and provided thoroughly explained every step of the way. The coolest thing (I thought) was they use this device to begin your floss/cleaning that sprays warm water and listerine on your teeth which helps if you have sensitive teeth and tastes pleasant. At the end I received an assessment form explaining what was performed and what is recommended. I also loved my “goodie” bag– toothpaste toothbrush mouthwash and floss. They weren’t even the travel size! They were a good size and it was a good toothbrush. Any who, I will be coming back. My family has scheduled appointments based on my experience. I highly recommend Dr. Precious Thompson.

I highly recommend Thousand Oaks Dental! The office is clean and well put together which when combined with the great staff and professional service consistently make my dental appointments a positive experience. So far I’ve had a crown, and several cleanings and I can honestly say Dr.Thompson and her staff know what they are doing. No painful cleanings and my crown looks and works great thus far. They also have a great engagement system which in my experience includes email/text reminders as well as a very professional website. Kudos Thousand Oaks Dental!

Over the years I have seen quite a few dentists. This office is one of the most professional dental groups I have ever seen. Most impressive is the equipment . It was definitely a new experience for me. The young woman dentist who did a very detailed exam of my teeth was on her game. I will go back and have the work needed on my teeth with this dental group. Every person I met with was excellent and knew their jobs well.

I was completely terrified when I went in the office. As a matter of fact, I was sweating on a 70 degree day! The dentist was so gentle, knowing I was scared, I couldn’t believe it. And yes she used the metal ‘pokey thing’ to examine me, but not one tiny pain did I feel! Now THAT’S a great dentist. As a matter of fact, I liked the whole office! I hereby place the Terrible Cowards award and seal of approval on the entire office!

Thousand Oaks Dental makes going to the dentist pleasant, the interior, the receptionists and the staff create a pleasant atmosphere. I didn’t mind the 30 minute drive because of how they treat their patients. I’m glad Thousand Oaks was recommended to me. Unlike most dentist offices they aren’t booked several months in advance, which I appreciate. This makes booking/re-scheduling an appointment easy. The staff are friendly, attentive and have no problem answering/addressing any concerns.

Dr Thompson is very professional and takes her time in talking and treating her patients. I started going to her when she was still in Northwest side and followed her when she moved to Thousand Oaks. New to SA I can say I found my dentist. I went in for a cleaning and I was surprised that the doctor was the one who did my cleaning. Other places I’ve been to the assistants do the cleaning and the doctor just comes and checks the patient. Her assistants are very nice along with her receptionist! They made me feel at home. I love everything about this dentist’s office. This is the first time I have ever gotten a shot in my mouth that didn’t hurt. They knew my fear of needles and really worked through that with me. My treatment plan was detailed and simple to understand. They accommodated me with the time that I had available for an appointment. The staff was absolutely caring and genuine. I definitely recommend this office to anyone remotely dissatisfied with their current dentist or needing a new one. Loving my new dentist!!!

I had my dental appointment today. And if anyone needs their teeth worked on, I highly recommend them. I went for years without getting help because of the bad experiences I had years ago. And then a year ago I really started having problems. .Then I found Dr. Precious Thompson through an ad. Just through her words I felt like I knew she was the one I wanted to try. And Thank God, She was so kind and caring and took that fear away from me… So gentle and aware of any discomfort I might have felt. So she did her magic and I’m so pleased, so nice to smile again…And her Staff is awesome . After YEARS of painful experiences with braces, dental surgeries, and cosmetic procedures to get my crooked teeth to look beautiful I developed a fear of the dentist chair. Combine that with no dental insurance throughout my 20’s and “The Great Avoidance” occurred. Last week I finally rationalized with myself that to wait any longer would surely lead to dentures by 40. So I did a lot of research and choose Dr Thompson’s office at Thousand Oaks Dental. They were able to schedule me an appointment within 7 days of calling (not three weeks!). The office was impeccably clean and inviting. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Not surprising I needed more than just a basic cleaning but Dr Thompson was so nice and non-judgemental. She did the additional treatment needed that day. No rescheduling for another time. A detailed estimate was provided prior to initiating the additional treatment and payment arrangements were offered in addition to the typical “apply for Care Credit” that is standard. The office has all the latest technology and, besides the digital x-rays, Dr Thompson did all the treatments personally. I highly recommend this place!

I’m giving Thousand Oaks Dental five stars and I have good reasons. My appointment was an emergency extraction, that had been paining me over a weekend. The appointment was easy to arrange, and the location just 10 minutes from my home. The office was clean and they had plenty of Covid-19 procedures in place. The staff moved around quietly and efficiently, while I waited for my exam. Dr. Thompson, chair side manner was right on point. The exam was through, an explanation of the procedure to follow gave me great comfort. What really impressed me was the through at home instructions, it made my recovery a breeze. Dr. Thompson was amazing for me. She was extremely courteous, understanding, attentive and timely. I feel like many of these reviews get watered down over time but I hope that people see what a great dentist and person she is. Her entire staff was awesome from the person at the front to the dental assistant. From my previous experiences with dentists, I’ve come to expect somewhat antisocial and try to instill some bit of fear in a patient so that you’ll pay for all of their recommendations. I went to Dr. Thompson because I saw a free service on the back of my HEB receipt and I thought….what the heck? She’s just down the street and it will cost me nothing. I REALLY liked the dentist that I was currently seeing but she’s WAY BETTER. Her office and staff are very professional and even though her services are a business, she’s NOT driven by money. She cares more about her patients than she does about getting money in her wallet. My previous dentist would NOT make payment arrangements and Dr. Thompson will. Her main concern is with her patients’ health. Anyone who is not using her as their dentist is truly missing out on quality care. She’s very personable, very gentle and extremely understanding. DR. Dental assistant quick and professional and also was training an apprentice. Dentist Dr. Thompson very professional and friendly. Dental hygienist, Chrissy, very thorough and we discussed Dobermans whole time, as we are both owners of them! Overall, very enjoyable experience, next visit in 6 months! The staff was very efficient and gracious. I was running late due to traffic and they were very understanding although I felt bad. The young lady that took the X-rays explained everything and was very kind, the dental hygienist was very sweet and explained everything as she worked. I went in for an emergency because my front crown finally cracked completely. I have had many bad experiences with dentist. I haven’t been in SA area that long and visited a dentist office about 6months (my husband and I) and even though they were very nice we didn’t care for the service as well my husband became sick during a procedure (never went back). Most dentist can be impersonal. Any who, the staff here was nice and accommodating. Dr. Precious was very knowledgeable and I really appreciate her work and professionalism. It was the best service I have received from a dentist in years. I have a pretty smile, FINALLY… and it’s not even complete (temp crown ). I ended up scheduling more appts for my husband and I. More updates to come and I pray they are positive as well, hoping my husband & I have found a home for our teeth & gums!!!

Chose Thousand Oaks Dental because I live close by. Feel pretty fortunate. My hygienist, Christi, is my favorite of all time. Very nice, laser-like precision with all her instruments and tools. I almost fell asleep during the first cleaning. Been through 3 cleanings at least. I’ve probably had at least 20+ other hygienists before. I had one cavity filled by Dr. Thompson recently and everything was comfortable. No issues after, all good. I must say, base on this one cavity performance, that Dr. Thompson seems very highly skilled, and sort of perfectionist, which is exactly what you need in this field. I’ve been to a lot of different dentists 10+. So, I have vast experience. I have also had a ridiculous amount of work done by those dentists. Hopefully, I can take better care of my teeth and I won’t have to test Dr. T’s skills out again for a while. All of the staff is professional and friendly to me. Let there be no doubt that Thousand Oaks Dental has a terrific staff and would be a great choice for you to pick as your new dentist

Best dental experience I’ve ever had. Kind staff and doctor that made the experience almost relaxing! First visit ever and she found a couple of cracked fillings (I grind my teeth so it happens a lot) and she offered to fix them that day instead of having to come back. This was my first visit here and I was blown away with how friendly the staff is. Came from another city where I had been going to my dentist for over 10 years and they felt like family there. I got the same impression here. Update: 2nd visit was just as great as the first. I had requested a consult for a mouth guard for snoring/grinding and Dr. T ordered one for me for less than half of what other dentists had quoted. Got it and it works great! I’m so happy I’ve found a home here.
