The other day I was on my way to the dentist for my semi-annual teeth-cleaning carrying along my crown which had sheared off while chewing on something hard. My hope was that it might help in the creation of a new crown. Instead, my wonderful dentist, Cristine Tapp, thought she could cement my crown back, which she did, eliminating the time, expense and discomfort of creating a new crown. I love Thousand Oaks Family Dentistry. I had been told by my previous dentist that I had cavities that needed to be filled but I hadn’t gotten them filled. First time patient at Thousand Oaks Family Dentistry and I had a lovely experience. Every person that works here is so nice and attentive. I ended up having the most detailed teeth cleaning in my entire life. My hygienist, Kristi V. took her time to give me a complete and thorough cleaning. My teeth were an entire shade whiter after my cleaning. Thank you, Kristi!!! This was my first time at a doctors office where I didn’t feel rushed so they could get to the next patient. That’s rare and really means a lot. Michael, the office manager is so kind and patient answering all of my questions on the phone and in person. And lastly, Dr. Hong took her time to cover all of my concerns. Best dentist office I’ve ever been to.

After being oversea in Italy with no dental coverage for three years, I came home and called to set up seeing Dr. Tapp again. Before I could get in for my regular check up, while I was on leave visiting family in New Mexico I broke a tooth. I called The Thousand Oaks Family Dentistry Office and explained my situation, they found me appointment for a quick temp repair and then scheduled to complete work in a short time afterward. The modern equipment is fantastic. No more gummy (gag me) mold for crowns, The new tooth mapping device imaged and ordered my crown which was install a hour later. If you want to be cared for as a family member this is the place to visit. Fantastic service, professional staff. I will bring my grand children here.

Most of my experiences with dentists have been unpleasant till I’ve come here. The staff is very friendly nice and never makes you feel uncomfortable or self conscious. Coming in I have had neglected my teeth and they’ve turned them bright white getting out almost years worth of damage, also giving me tools to reverse damage. Not only that but overall there’s a television you can watch while getting your teeth done making sure your experience is comfy. the staff is actually invested in their job making it overall very professional and personable. I have been going to TO Family Dentistry for a couple of years now. After 30 years at another dentist, Dr Tapp and her technicians have been repairing problems from the past and moving forward with truly excellent care of my teeth. I recently visited her during the COVID crisis. As always, I found their modern office to be spotless and sanitary. I felt completely comfortable being treated by her during this trying time. Dr. Hong has treated my son for about ten years. He got over his anxiety of dentists here. I also would like to add that Michael at the receptionist desk is extremely helpful and accommodating.

My crown popped off and I needed to have it replaced. Being new to the area, we don’t have a dentist. I called four offices near my home including, Dr. Hong’s office. First, Michael, the gentleman who answered the phone, was exceptional and the reason I set my appointment with Dr. Hong. He was organized and polite which sadly is not the norm. Second, when I arrived, I was taken straight back, no wait time. Third, the assistant, was excellent. She knew exactly what she was doing. Fourth, Dr. Hong was meticulous and patient. The crown didn’t just pop back in. She took her time and was willing to work with it until it felt right in my mouth. Finally, back to Michael, when I checked out he’d already handled all the insurance so it took just a few minutes. Will definitely be coming back to Dr. Hong’s and bringing the family. Update: My husband, son, and self have all been back for checkups and cleanings. My son has had some additional work done. If anything the care and service we’ve received is better than my first visit detailed above. So happy we found this dentist.

We started using Thousand Oaks Family Dentistry a year ago (Jan 2019), based on a friend’s recommendation, and we have been very happy with it. The dentists are knowledgeable, skilled and friendly. The office is clean, comfortable, and easily accessible (& parking is free). The staff are very professional… especially MICHAEL the receptionist and scheduler (probably handles a variety of office tasks).
