I had a wonderful experience at this dentist office. The office is clean and nice. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The dental hygienist provided a thorough yet gentle cleaning. Dr. Fattahi was also quite kind and warm and answered several questions I had regarding my x-rays and previous work another dentist had recommended. The only drawback is the location, which is not very public transit accessible. However, if you can make it over to Palisades another way I highly recommend. After poor experiences elsewhere the Uber ride was well worth it. Thank you Dr. Fattahi!

This is going to be a long review, but please bear with me because there’s plenty of great things to say about Dr. Fattahi and his entire practice. About 3 years ago I fractured one of my upper left molars while I was sleeping because I grind my teeth while I sleep. I broke off about one third of the tooth and it had to be filled. The fracture was big enough that the tooth needed to be crowned, but I was deployed overseas when it broke and a crown was not possible at the time. I’ve since gotten out of the military and I’m new to the DC area. Of course, the filling breaks; I have no dental insurance, my regular dentist is in St. Louis, and I have a gaping hole in my tooth that needs taken care of asap. So I turned to Yelp and found a dentist (not Dr. Fattahi). I went to this dentist, who will remain nameless, and he was outrageously expensive and largely unimpressive. He charged $275 for an x-ray and a very rough temporary filling to hold me over until he could crown the tooth. His quote for the crown was expensive as well, so I called my regular dentist in St. Louis to get his advice. He said the quote was unacceptable, especially for how underwhelmed I sounded about my first appointment. I was back to square one on Yelp. I found Dr. Fattahi on Yelp and figured I would call. After 5 minutes of speaking over the phone with one of Dr. Fattahi’s staff members I was thoroughly impressed. The gentleman listened to my entire story, offered me a free consultation with Dr. Fattahi, gave me an estimated quote that was significantly less than the first dentist, and assured me that I would be given a further discount because I am uninsured. He was respectful, polite, professional, and accommodating. I later found that this is the standard at Dr. Fattahi’s office. I was impressed by the phone call, but I was sold by the consultation. Dr. Fattahi was friendly, explanatory, and most importantly honest. After looking at my x-rays he told me that the fracture was close enough to the tooth’s nerve that I possibly needed a root canal. This wasn’t exactly news to me because the dentist who originally filled the tooth 3 years ago and the first dentist I found on Yelp both said the same thing. However, Dr. Fattahi said that he did not want to make a potentially risky call and proceed without a specialist’s opinion. He referred me to a specialist whose opinion he trusted and was able to get me an appointment the same morning. I didn’t end up needing a root canal, Dr. Fattahi placed the crown, and I got a cleaning because I was overdue and I was already there. Dr. Fattahi and his hygienists are clearly far more than capable to perform any procedure in the dental spectrum from a routine exam/cleaning to fitting and placing a crown. During the procedure I was shocked by Dr. Fattahi’s skill and gentleness. He and his entire staff had my best interest in mind from start to finish. Overall, I couldn’t be more satisfied. This office turned what was a major source of stress into a positive situation. As long as I live in the DC area I know who my regular dentist will be, and if you are reading this lengthy review because you’re looking for a dentist, I highly suggest you follow suit and make an appointment! You won’t be disappointed!

OMG what an amazing experience feeling safe and cared for❤️ Being highly compromised, I was scared to death with COVID and fell behind on my cleanings but as I walked into the office I realized my dentist had spare options or cost to make sure patients and staff are safe. Every imaginable security measure has been implemented without compromising the quality of care and service. Never ceases to amaze me.

Everyone was AWESOME!! The lady at the front desk is very sweet and helpful with insurance dealings. Tiffany, my dental hygienist, ROCKS! She was so much fun and got my teeth super bright and shiny! She was also very helpful giving advise about maintaining healthy teeth. Dr. Fattahi is very nice and knowledgable. I feel comfortable trusting him with my teeth. I would highly recommend this practice!

I just had my first appointment with Dr. Fattahi and was very happy with the entire experience. I picked him based on the reviews, and I can only echo what a great dentist he is, how friendly the staff is, and how knowledgeable everyone there is.  I have a fear of the dentist but the staff put me at ease immediately with their professionalism, knowledge, and friendliness.  Most importantly, the work that they did on my teeth was excellent and painless! I would definitely recommend him!!

I’m so unsettled with anything related to a dentist visit. Being there at Dr. Fattahi’s office from the warm reception to the very enthused assistance, calmed me so. Each of them were fully present and fully present with me and my needs. The environment and everyone there… it was a pleasant experience that I wouldn’t dread returning.

The staff is so caring and friendly. The office is very professional and very very clean! Dr Fattahi has been my dentist for years. Julie, has cleaned my teeth for the last few years. My teeth are in such great shape due to God and their service. They are the best you can get!! Highly recommended!!!

More than 20 years with the same Doctor. That should be enough to summarize this review. You’ll never want to take your teeth anywhere else. Not only is Dr. Fattahi one of the nicest, gentlest, most competent dentists you’ll ever meet — he’s one of the nicest, gentlest *people* you’ll ever meet and that energy is everywhere in his office. Dr. Fattahi makes a dental visit as pleasant as it can possibly be. There is virtually no wait time, the equipment is very modern, the staff is pleasant, and he genuinely wants to give you the best care. He’s not someone who will take on the work of a specialist just to get extra business. I’ll spare you the details, but I had number of dental issues and Dr. Fattahi and his staff saved my grill and now I’m never self-conscious about my teeth. They’re stronger and better looking than ever.

Dr. Fattahi is THE BEST – hands down – no contest. I met Dr. Fattahi in 1988, shortly after his Magna Cum Laude graduation from Howard University’s School of Dentistry. At that time, Dr. F. was working in the office of Dr. Paul Jones (a/k/a “Painless Paul), and their motto was “We cater to cowards” – which is how I knew I was in the RIGHT place. [I was so bad, the last dentist I visited before Dr. Jones and Dr. Fattahi put me out of his office for being too nervous]. I saw Dr. Jones and Dr. Fattahi on my first visit, but, on the second visit “Painless Paul” was out of town and I have been Dr. Fattahi’s patient ever since…which was 24 years ago. His chairside manner is unbelieveable. Not only does he explain everything in the simplest terms, but, he is always attentive and works hard to ensure his patients are comfortable and he shows concern at the least movement, facial expression or sigh. Dr. F. has always maintained an immaculate “state of the art” office replete w/ cable tvs at each chair. He has further demonstrated the extraordinary knack of employing individuals who adhere to his same standards of excellence, display his same exceptional work ethic, give tremendous customer service, have extremely pleasant personalities and consistently display compassion and sensitivity in each interaction. Needless to say, Dr. Fattahi is just an all-around nice guy, down to earth, conversant on any subject and genuinely concerned about his patients. [He even called me once to see how I was doing when one of my other friends whom I had referred arrived for her appointment and told him I had been in a car accident]. Everyone who knows me knows I have the BEST dentist in town. I now look forward to going to the dentist, never miss my appointments and have told Dr. Fattahi quite emphatically that he MUST outlive me because I have absolutely NO intention of ever having another dentist!

Dr. Fattahi has been my dentist for over 30 years. His chair side manner is assuring, efficient and, more importantly, removes all anxiety. The office atmosphere is pleasant, beautifully appointed, and conveniently located whether you live in DC, Maryland, or Virginia. If you need a highly skilled dentist, that stays current with the best dental technology, I recommend you give Dr. Fattahi a try.
