This is no ordinary Dentist office. Dr Nancy and her team provide a nurturing and supportive environment to heal your life through healing your mouth. I initially came here for an emergency extraction and painful bleeding gums and jaw pain. Through education and top class oral care my mouth today is pain free and my entire body is reaping the rewards. The services the provide from finances to comfort levels is A1. The finances were also a concern but the team provided different plans and options that helped me save thousands of dollars so I could get well. They also provide massage chairs, soothing meditation music, hand gloves w/ lotion and relaxing supplements to make the visits most comfortable. Dr Nancy has a very holistic approach and looks at more than just your teeth, she assesses your airway for potential sleep apnea and bruxism and empowers you to make changes needed to heal. I cannot recommend this group of women enough!

I’ve been a patient of Dr Nancy’s for nearly 25 years, and appreciate the care and compassion she and her amazing team bring to their work. I really hardly ever wright reviews. But i am so happy and grateful that i came across Dr. Nancy and her team. She is really caring and compassionate she really wants the best for you and will sit down and take her time to talk about any issues and concerns. Ive had jaw/facial pain for about a year I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Nancy i live about 3 hrs away and the drive was well worth it. She came up with a treatment plan that was best for me, and made sure i didnt feel abandon as i was leaving the office. I will be going back with her once im done with braces to get my night guard.

Dr. Nancy and hygienist is kind and caring. The dental assistant is also very knowledgeable. They answer my questions how to maintain healthy gum and gave me good advice. Not only treating cavity, they takes care keeping healthy gum to prevent further problem so that is why I understand the office name is top down dental. Although one of my teeth / gum is sensitive, but they clean with care when I mentioned at each office visit so I did not feel discomfort so much while they are treating.

WHO LOVES THEIR DENTIST?! I do. Never healthier, nor so pain free… I am grateful to have discovered them when I had to find a new dentist years ago and have been blessed with healthy gums ever since! They performed deep cleaning and recommended a treatment that has since literally eliminated sensitivity (!!), improved the health of my gums and teeth, and likely my heart as a result. I had a cracked tooth and needed mercury fillings replaced and searched for holistic dentist Los Gatos and found Top Down Dental Dr. Nancy Nehawandian. The staff are very nice, and the office is beautiful. It’s a highly educated and skilled dental staff that hold a libraries worth of knowledge about our mouth and its connection to the rest of our body. I have gum recession behind my front lower teeth and find out from Top Down Dental that its caused by a condition called “tongue-tie” that restricts the tongues range of motion and its ability to touch the roof of the mouth. Julie an amazing hygienist who corrects the tongue-tie problem says that tongue-tie causes the tongue to clamp down. Top Down Dental was the only dentist office to connect gum recession to my tied tongue. I also learned that root canals permanently shut off blood and nerve supply making it a dead tooth and then a breeding ground for bacteria to multiply and then circulate throughout the body. Faye administered the 11-microbes test and the results showed I’m at risk for cardiovascular and respiratory disease as well as diabetes. Top Down Dental is a pioneer in healthy mouth healthy body dentistry care. Don’t take a chance and dental care that’s not smart. Get evaluated and get under care at Top Down Dental.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Nancy and her team for so long that I’ve lost track of how many years it’s been! Dr. Nancy is the BEST dentist and I still go back to see her even after moving out of the Bay Area late last year. I’m never nervous about visiting Dr. Nancy because I know that she and the rest of the team will always take care of me and do a fantastic job on my teeth. I’ve seen her for everything from my usual 6 month cleanings to some not so fun root canals. I never feel any pain or discomfort so I can honestly say that I never dread my dentist visits! Everyone in the office is also super friendly. It’s nice that they have a small and tight knit team. You can tell that they all really enjoy the work they do and working with one another. I always enjoy chatting with them whenever I’m in the office. I’ve referred several friends to Dr. Nancy over the past few years and they in turn have referred their friends – everyone thinks Dr. Nancy is a wonderful dentist. All the equipment used is high tech and up to date. There are even screens above each chair and headphones that you can wear – it’s nice to watch TV if you’re getting some more serious work done. There is lots of natural light in the office and it’s in a great location in Los Gatos. I really can’t recommend Dr. Nancy and the rest of the team enough – you will not want to visit another dentist ever again!!

I love these guys – Nancy is the best dentist I’ve ever had. Thorough cleanings, brilliant girl at the front desk who helps you find appointment times easily and who is an expert at navigating insurance (so rare to find someone smart and focused on customer service at a front desk anywhere – she’s a friendly dynamo). Went through a root canal under Nancy’s guidance (she doesn’t do the root canal – but did a great job on the crown afterward) and felt like I got incredible advice and service. She’s very communicative and caring, and answers all of my questions big (what is a root canal exactly?) and small (what electric toothbrush to buy?). Office is spotless and all equipment is state-of-the-art. I feel so lucky to have found them – my last two dentists left me worse off than when I started, and Nancy finally got my train back on the right track. They happen to be near where I live/work, but would go to them happily even if they weren’t.

I feel like the most blessed person in the world to have found Dr. Nancy and her fabulous staff at Top Down Dental. I’ve had a lot of traumatic experiences throughout my life with dentists and dental procedures, but the sincere concern and top notch care provided by Dr. Nancy and her team are bar none. I literally feel like I am going to a spa or being treated like royalty when I go in there. The massaging chairs, ambient music via headphones, heated neck pillows and more are provided for you while you are being worked on. This is so relaxing, healing and really helps ease the pain of having to get any array of dental procedures done. Besides the amazing amenities, Dr. Nancy Nehawandian is one of the most intelligent, in tune, nurturing doctors I’ve ever met- in any medical profession. Beyond her many traditional certifications, she offers a holistic approach to provide her patients with the best possible care that is up to date with the times, techniques and technology. Dr. Nehawandian has been my dentist for years and I can’t imagine going to any other dental office than Top Down Dental. I typically get nervous before going to the dentist but everyone at this office makes me feel at home. At the office, they have different systems and tools that make you feel relaxed before your treatment. During my procedure, I typically enjoy a movie and use the massage feature on the chair. The hygienist is very friendly and knowledgeable. She spends lots of time educating me about the importance of healthy teeth and gums. Dr. Nehawandian always explains any necessary procedures. She takes the time to explain my options to me and will answer any questions that I have. I love how everyone who works there takes the time to get to know me and my health personally and is extremely friendly every time I visit.

As soon as you walk into their waiting room, you are greeted, and can hang out in their comfortable waiting room. During uncomfortable procedures, Dr Nancy allows you to watch a movie or use the NuCalm system, where you take minerals and listen to relaxing music. Between teeth cleaning (6 months), Dr. Nancy finds ways to improve & innovate her business. One of my favorite new features is text reminders of when my next appointment will be, so helpful! I’m the biggest wimp when it comes to the dentist. I just walked out of the office with a smile on my face and ready to skip to my car. Mind you, I just got my dental implant placed. I researched extensively to find a Dr. that would be more natural/holistic and not just treat “symptoms” as well as using non-toxic materials. Dr. Nancy and her team do their continuing education at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute (LVI). They are part of a movement of dental professionals that strive for the highest possible standards and comprehensive care (which every patient deserves), and yet Top Down Dental still manages to continually exceed my expectations. My childhood dentist was the founder of LVI, and I’m so thankful for that. I didn’t get my first cavity until my mid-thirties, and that was only due to circumstances that kept me away from the dentist for an extended time. These are the reasons you should go to Top Down Dental: 1) Beautiful office located in Los Gatos. 2) The staff’s amazing attention to detail, and their pursuit of the highest standards. 3) Comprehensive care all under one roof. Dr. Nancy has the big picture in mind, and does high quality cosmetic work while looking for and treating disorders that may effect your health – sleep apnea, TMJ, infections, etc. 4) You can watch movies or listen to music while work is being done, and the chair gives you a massage. I am a new patient to Dr. Nancy’s office this year. From the very start, her website, staff and the office itself made me feel comfortable about going to her and seeking some badly needed dental work. The entire staff is always there to answer your questions (financial, procedure plans) and Dr. Nancy herself has from day one shown me total professionalism and her knowledge is impressive. The office has many added perks (massaging chairs, movies and hand treatment! during your procedures). I’ve had 2 neck fusions so they provided me with a warm neck pillow at each visit!!. I’ve experienced, deep cleaning from Jenna, 2 regular fillings and nine…yes that was 9 new porcelain caps over the course of 4 months and seriously I was comfortable every time…but the best part is each cap fit perfectly the first time and didn’t require additional visits, AMAZING. Dr. Nancy is what I call her since it is difficult to pounce/spell the last name. Beside the difficulty with the last name I had no other problems with my visit to her office. I was most impressed with her professional friendly staff and Dr. Nancy’s diagnosis was accurate and she provided all the possible treatment options and costs and their alternative paths that I may need to follow. I appreciated her honesty and due diligence in her practice and her excellent abilities as a dentist. It has been years since I have trusted dentists in general. Dr. Nancy has been my dentist for some 20 years now. She is so well educated and amazing. The way she cares by having digital Xrays before they were even the “in” thing to do. She always seems to be ahead of her time. My son was a mouth breather and she told us when he was only 2 years old. She insisted we need to consult an ENT and get his sleep apnea issues resolved. I have been going to Top Down Dental since I was a child, and after my wonderful experiences I will continue to do so as I enter the threshold of adulthood. The experience is relaxing, and catered to the patient. 1. Parking is never an issue in the spacious lot in front of the office. 2. Entering the office, you walk into the clean and modern waiting room and settle into a large armchair. The amazing Vicki is at the front desk, greeting you with a smile. There is coffee and tea, juices in the fridge, and usually some type of cookie for your snacking enjoyment. Usually the wait isn’t long, so you don’t get to spend much time in the waiting room. 3. For patients who experience anxiety at the dentist, there is a serene room with technology like NuCalm and a massage chair. 4. Typically a hygienist will come to retrieve you, and take you to your room. A fun bonus: if you want, you can choose to watch a movie during your appointment! The rooms are comfortable and clean. You take a seat into the comfortable chair, facing the nature of Los Gatos. 5. Depending on the type of appointment you scheduled, either you will be greeted a gentle but methodical hygienist (the wonderful Briar or Kim) or by the experienced and thorough Dr. Nancy. Dr. Nancy is extensively knowledgeable in her practice. One of the best dentists in the area, she is detailed and methodical in her practice, and stays on top of new dental technologies. More than that, she is caring and kind with her patients. The services she offers have helped my whole family; my brother’s breathing problems have been alleviated with a night time mouth guard, and my mother’s chipped crown from a ski accident was elegantly repaired by Dr. Nancy. Her smile looks better than ever. Another bonus: the experience is relaxing and fun for children as well! The movies are an exciting distraction and as a child I was offered small toys, ‘treasures,’ from a treasure chest after appointments. Overall, Top Down Dental is simply a fantastic gem of a dentistry in Los Gatos. I plan to continue visiting their practice as long as I live in the Silicon Valley.

Love Dr. Nancy and the entire team. Who would have thought that you can look forward to going to the dentist?! I started to come here about 2 years ago because I had terrible TMJ, no dentist that wanted to treat it or was willing to even acknowledge what I have and no advice I felt I could trust. After much online research I found Dr. Nancy. First she took pictures of my posture, then of my mouth and ran numerous tests. Then I got braces and the TMJ is much much better. Treatment is not complete yet, but I can feel the improvement and feel like it has been a success already. I can only recommend her as a dentist. Not only does she look at your teeth, but more your body as a whole and how other parts may actually impact your bite. She has the latest technology in her office so that she can really treat whatever you may have. I feel like I can trust her and she is honest with me, which is definitely key with dentists. Also, she really explains to you what is going on… she shows you pictures and xrays on a big screen to show you the problem and makes sure you understand what you are paying for. 🙂 The staff is also amazing. Vicky and Fey are so nice. They always greet you with a smile, remember you, know stories and make it just a nice experience to be there. The office is beautiful and warm. And if you are lucky, you even get to sit in the massage chair and watch a movie for a bit while getting treatment. 🙂 If you can’t tell, I absolutely love it and can only recommend it. I don’t know if it is more or less expensive than other dentists… but for me going there is worth every penny. 🙂
