I had a cleaning that I had been putting off due to COVID. I was immediately put at ease. Plexiglass and social distancing of chairs in waiting room. Readily available hand sanitizer. I observed extra cleaning of the restroom key upon return. Today I saw Susan – hygienist. Great use of PPE with masks and face shields used by the entire dental staff. Even the rinse after the cleaning used extra precaution with no “spitting” in the sink. Highest kudos to Susan and all the staff in Dr. Yabuno’s office. If you have been putting off dental work due to fear of catching the virus, no need to fear any longer! Highly recommend this office’s hygiene as well as the care and quality of the dental work.

I saw Dr. Yabuno after having had a horrible experience with another dentist. I had some crowns that needed to be done, and the other dentist did the prep work. Without going into detail, I was very unhappy with my experience with the other dentist. I saw Dr. Yabuno for a second opinion while my temporary crowns were in place. Dr. Yabuno was wonderful! He thoroughly examined the work that had been done, and gave me his comments in a very diplomatic manner. I returned to his office yesterday for another appointment, and he was just so very kind and gentle. I am happy to have finally found a very nice, quality dentist! If I could give 6 or even 10 stars I would. Dr. Yabuno is one of the kindest and most gentle dentists I have ever gone to. He has been my dentist for more than 10 years. I often fall asleep in the chair while he is working on me. Even his injections are almost painless. He is very knowledgeable about medical aspects that sometimes come into play with certain dental procedures. I have referred many friends and professionals to Dr. Yabuno and everyone has come back to tell me how happy they were with their care. I have been seeing Dr. Yabuno for several years. Why? He is the gentlest dentist I have ever experienced. When I had a cavity (yes, at my age) he used a topical in my gums before injecting the Novocaine to make sure I felt ZERO pain. His exams are also very gentle and my comfort is always top priority. This is also seen in his staff. His hygienists are all very good, very thorough, very prompt, very kind. I highly recommend Dr. Yabuno to all my friends!

I worked with many dentists in the South Bay throughout my long career as a Dental Hygienist. Mid way into my employment I had the great good fortune to meet Dr. Yabuno..We worked along side each other until I retired from Dental Hygiene in 2000. I’m very fortunate to have discovered Dr. Yabuno and his wonderful team. I took a chance based on the yelp reviews a few years ago and I’m so glad that I switched to him. The praise for this dentist and his team is well deserved. I’ve had several crown replacements and fillings and Dr. Yabuno is very patient and understanding of ‘scared’ patients like me. He doesn’t just numb you up and rush into fillings, he gives you time to signal when you are ready. They even have this clip on electrical device that helps spread the numbing agent into your jaw through electronic pulses. I didn’t feel a single bit of discomfort on any of the procedures and most important I didn’t have the fear or panic I’ve had with other dentists. I have trust in Dr. Yabuno’s skills and I appreciate the fact he listens to my concerns. A big shout out to the friendly front desk staff too. Receptionist always greets me with genuine happiness and makes you really feel welcome. I’ve had Cindy as my friendly dental hygienist and she does a fantastic job with teeth cleanings and recommendations for dental health. Dr Yabuno is the consummate professional. I am semi disabled with spinal and neurological damage and unable to sit more than just a couple minutes. As a result, I am unable able to lay on most dentist chairs. Dr. Yabuno has always been understanding and proactive in offering me options including standing and sitting for limited periods in regular chairs, etc.in place of the multi angled dentist lay down tables. It has helped me get through some difficult procedures: x-rays, investigating possible cracked teeth, cleanings, etc. He always seeks the least invasive and least painful for my condition option . In this day and age of volume driven medical care, Dr. Yabuno is totally committed to each individual patients needs. If anyone has unique physical needs or simply wants to have most professional and anxiety free environment or dental care , I would strongly suggest and recommend Dr. Yabuno and his outstanding team of assistants, hygienists etc. From the minute you walk in the door and are warmly greeted by the wonderful reception team to when you walk out the door, there is comforting tranquility that exists in that office

The office was recently remodeled—state of the art equipment, including televisions and chairs that are so comfortable, I have fallen asleep while work was being performed! Dr. Yabuno continues to take advanced courses in dental esthestics, sleep apnea, and sedation dentistry. He has been married for twenty-eight years and is the proud father of three children. When Dr. Yabuno is not busy reading dental journals, he enjoys swimming, weight training, biking, fishing and traveling.
