My experience at True Dental Care from start to finish was phenomenal. The practice is exceptionally clean and modern, all the staff are very friendly and professional. They made me feel welcome and confident that I was getting the best possible dental care. I was travelling during the holidays and Dr Dan went out of his way to accommodated my tight schedule. I couldn’t be happier with the quality of service I received. Thank you!

What an amazing and professional experience ! I have had many dental procedures done before and must say that no other doctor has talked through the treatment like Dr Daniel Cohen . He told me what to expect during and after procedure which made me very comfortable . Dr Cohen very gentle ! The procedures were painless and I had very little discomfort after . I am very grateful for his work and personal approach !!! Will defiantly recommend him to my family and friends .

To sum it up, my best dental experience ever! Like most people I fear and dread even the simplest procedures like even a cleaning. Now I needed a little more serious work. I was in a lot of pain and my current dentist wouldn’t fit me In until October. I needed immediate help and then I found this place. The moment I walked through the door I was immediately impressed. From the decor to the scent diffusers (I mean seriously this whole office smells amazing) and they even have a nice tranquil fish tank scene on a flat screen in the waiting room. But wait, there’s more! The music pumping throughout was very soothing like almost loungey. And then here’s the real kicker… there’s a flat screen mounted to the ceiling so you can watch Netflix or whatever you want while they work on you!! I started Phase one of the root canal process and everything was explained to me in a very comprehensive manner. I’ve never felt so at ease at the dentist. Every other dental experience in my life I’ve been near panic attack mode, but they took such good care of me and did such a great job of distracting me from my fears. I was like, “that’s it, we’re done already?? But I’m not finished with this episode of Cobra Kai.” Oh, and did I mention they have a handheld x ray machine!?  Not only do bring the zen, but they also bring the latest tech. This will be my dentist for as long as I live in JC!!!

Emerging from a history of somewhat traumatic experiences with my dental care and various dentists Doctor Dan and his entire staff have been a godsend for me in redefining how pleasant a dental appointment can be with the right staff and kind hearts administering your care. For me, the amount I pay for private vs in-network is well worth the ease and gentle approach that this team takes. One thing that stands out for me to help explain is in working on several rounds of cavity fillings and wisdom extraction Doctor Dan is the first dentist in my life who administered the numbing injections at each appointment with not a bit of pain. That used to be the worst part as most dentists seemingly jam it in! What a world of difference this office brings in mindset and care. I greatly appreciate not being afraid to go to the dentist anymore because I know I am in good hands.

It is always a pleasure to come to True Dental! the office is very modern, love the decor, they are constantly changing things around based on the time of year. The staff is always very friendly and make me feel at home from the moment I walk in through the door. Dr Dan completes all procedures in office, which is a plus and their fees are very reasonable for the quality of care offered! Dr Mila sees my kids, and her preventative/conservative approach has made all of their appointments so much easier! She has many distractions that really helps them forget where they are, such as the TV in the ceilings, IPads in the waiting room, laughing gas, birthday month celebrations, tokens, toys, etc. Truly happy I have found an office who really cares to provide top notch care for me and my family. Recommend to everyone, you will not be disappointed!!!!

This is the perfect office for the entire family…Dr. Mila has a lot of fun with kids while still doing amazing work…dental appointments can be hard for kids but she makes them feel super comfortable. For adults, Dr. Dan Cohen is empathetic, explains things beautifully, and uses technology to make his explanations understandable. They have so many creature comforts in the office that you won’t even mind going to the dentist…last time I was there, I caught up on my favorite Netflix shows while in the chair haha!

So happy to have found True Dental Care two years ago! Especially after the most painful cleaning of my life with another JC dentist who I went to briefly before finding True. After that excruciatingly painful cleaning, I found myself extra wary of dentists. Before that, I had a long-term dentist who was great. He retired a few years ago and I was at a loss. Going to the dentist, even if I’m already an established patient, is an anxiety-filled occasion for me. How would I find an office I trusted as much as my former dentist’s?? Thankfully via referral, I did! Dr Dan, Dr Matt, and the best hygienist I’ve ever had, Kristen, have made my visits informative and effective. I’ve never had any follow-up problems with the significant amount of dental work they’ve done for me so far. Their services are top-notch. Facilities are super clean and modern. They make you feel like they have all the time in the world for you. Being at True is probably the most comfortable I have ever found myself in a dentist chair. I really appreciate how they’ve found ways to mitigate nerves of anxious patients like me! Front desk is also awesome, Abi is always friendly and is thorough in explaining billing.

Our family has trusted True Dental Care, with Dr. Mila and Dr. Dan. They are great with the kids and great with us parents too. It’s wonderful to be able to trust your dentists and always comfortable with them. The clinic is very clean, pristine white and smells really nice. The front office too are very accommodating, always very courteous, makes you always feel welcomed and that they are on first name basis – they also remember names very well which makes you feel that they do care for the whole family. All the staff are like that there, even follow up phone calls are very polite. Everything there is an awesome experience, I love the patients chair, the colors too, the yellow and white combinations are calming. The music they play too is super cool, helps you relax and the videos they play while I’m going thru treatment made me feel relaxed, calms you and makes you trust fully. Overall, I trust them with my family’s dental needs.

Over last two years, since I moved here, I hesitated picking a dentist and getting my routine check-up. But finally I picked this place right next to my apartment. I couldn’t have been more pleased. Dr Dan was meticulous and detailed with explanation during his examination, making sure we reach a comfortable agreement on what needed to be fixed and what could wait. I would recommend the place without any hesitation.

This is a beautiful office! All state of the art equipment, staff is very friendly! Dr. Cohen is very knowledgeable, very easy to talk to. He takes his time to explain everything and answers all the questions. He uses high tech equipment. I would strongly recommend this business to all my friends and family.

I enjoyed my visit to True Dental. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They handled an emergency cleanup without breakout a sweat and kept on working with a smile (behind their mask, of course). They made my family feel comfortable despite being nervous at being in a dentist office. I’ll happily recommend them to friends and family and can’t wait till our next visit.

I have been terrified of the dentist since I was a child, so writing a review for a practice should tell you how great they are! From the receptionists to the Dr., the team is just so welcoming and wonderful. I have only had one appointment so far, but they made me feel so at ease and taken care of that I will not be running from my next one like I normally do! I’ve never felt so comfortable in a place I have been actively avoiding for years 🙂 Already recommending them to all my friends and colleagues.

This place is amazing! Highly competent staff and state-of-the-art technology. Dr. Penner is a hard worker who will not rest until you have a perfect outcome with your smile. He is a perfectionist that takes a great deal of pride in his work. You can tell that he loves the field of dentistry and is passionate about patient care. I also appreciate his kind, warm demeanor. You know you’re getting the BEST care possible with him and his associates.  Dr. Mila and Dr. Dan are also so sweet and highly knowledgeable! Dr. Mila was so engaging with my child and offered really wonderful, helpful tips for toddler oral hygiene. This practice lives up to its name – TRUE dental care. I am thankful to have found this incredible office.

I truly enjoyed my experience at True Dental Care. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. For those who are nervous about receiving about coming to the dentist or receiving dental services you will truly have a different experience here. Its true what they say First Impressions is everything and I have been impressed since day one. Also, the facility have flat screen TVs in the ceiling to help ease your mind during your service. I found True Dental Care on google. I was looking for a dentist that service children and adults. I got what I was looking for I am pleased with the choice I made. Kristen gave me a cleaning as well as psycho education on how to keep my teeth healthy I truly appreciate that. Can’t wait for my next cleaning.

This office was recommended to me by a good friend, as I walked in through the door the receptionist (super friendly) offered coffee and water and asked me to fill out forms on a computer. I was seen right away and may I say THE MOST AMAZING HYGIENIST ever!!! They sat me back to start my cleaning, and guess what? yes, TV in the ceiling and comfortable headphones (us Netflix junkies understand). Lastly, Dr Cohen did his examination and was very thorough and took his time explaining what I need. Since I don’t have insurance they offered me a super doable payment plan. I have to say, I was not expecting to have an experience this pleasant while at the dentist. Thank you true dental, you made a difference !

I was so afraid of my previous dentist that I hadn’t seen about my teeth in over a year.  Then I was referred to Dr. Daniel Cohen, one of the dentists working at True Dental Care. I am very happy because Dr. Cohen really knows how to work with a very nervous, fearful person and he is exceptionally good at sedating you using numbing gel, laughing gas, and an injection while you listen to music through headphones.  He was so mild and gentle with the injection, that I didn’t feel a thing, and he was able to sedate me with one shot.  A second shot was given for assurance of a pain free experience and it worked.  I have a long history of being hard to sedate so this is the first time that a dentist was able to numb me so gently and quickly without any pain.  I was elated.  While he worked, I had on their headphones and listened to YouTube playing Bossa n’ Amy Winehouse from the TV they have mounted in the ceiling. I was almost dancing in my seat. When he was done I was so surprised because I didn’t know he had already finished the two teeth. Afterwards I didn’t even look like I had been to the dentist.   I was so happy I walked home 18 blocks and I am a senior.

WOW! The office and facility is absolutely beautiful! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that their patients feel comfortable and relaxed. Truly, the best dental experience I have ever had. Dr. Dan Cohen is so patient and knowledgeable, he genuinely cares about his patients and thoroughly explains each step of the procedure with full transparency regarding his findings and treatments.  His team is a reflection of his values, each member carries the same professionalism and patience throughout their role. It is safe to say that I no longer dread going to the dentist! I am so thrilled to have found this practice in Jersey City, a place that I can bring my family to and a Drs that I trust.

We’ve been bringing our daughter to True Dental since her first dentist’s appointment and somehow they turned what was initially a little scary for her into something she looks forward to 6mos at a time. The whole office is super friendly and accommodating and their hours are great. They know how to talk to children to both ease them as well as  about oral hygiene in ways they can understand. Highly recommended.

Front desk is great and welcoming..there is so much light and the office looks clean and bright. Doctor spends time and explains well but keep forgetting the name which I found it funny. But it would be great if the other rooms noise will be reduced, whether through closing doors or other ways.
