I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Lam. We just got California Care insurance and was able to get dental insurance coverage for my kids. We made an appointment at TRUSMILES dental and saw Dr. Lam. My kids loves her! She is very sweet, very knowledgable , very gentle and so patient. My 9 year old son (who is super curious) and my 6 year old daughter asked her so many questions and she took the time to answer them. She is really good with the kids. Believe it or not, my kids keeps asking me when will they get to go back to get their teeth clean and for Dr. Lam to fix the “sugar bugs “.

This place was absolutely fantastic! Ok, so I haven’t gone to the dentist in 13 years (ya seriously) as I’m not a fan of pain. For some reason I have always associated the dental office with pain, maybe its from all of that ortho I went through as a kid. So I tried this place out, they were having a special so why not. I went in and it was like I was part of their family. I told them how long it had been and it didn’t faze them, they just said lets take a look. X-rays, cleaning, exam, no problem. No pain in any way. What really helped was being able to watch a DVD while I sat in the chair, it took my mind off of where I was. It was so easy I asked them to schedule me for another appointment in 6 months. They said they would send me a reminder in the mail and give me a call when it was time. I highly recommend this facility

While i live in San Diego, i go to Trusmiles in Huntington Beach. Why? Dr. Lam is the best dentist i have found. I have to admit in have family in Orange County, so i always tie in my appointments with a visit to my parents, but with the time that Dr. Lam takes, and the work that she does I know that i am getting good value and great results for my money. Being a cash patient, i want to feel that i got my money’s worth and not feel like i just walked out of the dentist office without my pants. My family and i are always happy to see Dr. Lam, and my kids love the place which makes it even better.

Dr. Lam is the best dentist. My family and I always go to her for all of our dental needs. She is caring and gentle and very skilled at the work of dentistry. Best dentist I’ve ever had. This is my dentist for life now. Absolutely professional and explains everything. Dr. Lam really goes out of her way to explain and more importantly, is impressively accurate at avoiding pain. Now you know why I am never going to another dentist. She is so good. I hate the stinging sensation at some deep cleanings but with Dr. Lam I barely feel anything. Honestly I dont know how she does it but it is a testament to her skill. I originally went in expecting ho-hum dental work and maintenance but received thoroughly impressive results.

I was never a fan of visiting the dentist until I found this dental office run by Dr Lam. I was always afraid of the pain associated with getting dental work done since I was a kid and never grew out of it until now. Dr Lam was very patient and professional. She assured me that my teeth cleaning and cavity filling replacement would be painless and she was right. She did such a fantastic job that I made my appointment for my next teeth cleaning visit immediately after I was done with my appointment. Dr Lam also saw my three boys. Of course they were fearful to visit the dentist but upon entering her dental office and seeing a cartoon showing on the tv helped get their attention. This office is definitely kid friendly and Dr Lam is great with kids!!! They have a tv hanging on the wall in front of the dental chairs so they can play a movie for the kids while they had their teeth worked on. This was great because it kept my kids distracted from what she was doing. She was very gentle and patient while cleaning the kids teeth. The cleaning and exam went so well for all three kids that they aren’t afraid to come back to the dental office. And afterwards, they got to choose a little toy instead of a lollipop like some other dental offices around town. This shows me that she cares about my kid’s teeth especially after she worked on them instead of encouraging them to eat more candy so they can keep coming back to get work done. If you are looking for a family dentist to see you and your kids, don’t bother going anywhere else. This office is extremely professional and caring. You won’t find a better dental office to visit and a better dentist that actually cares about your teeth more than Dr Lam!! She is definitely going to be our family dentist for many years to come.

If you’re looking for a place to get quality dental care then look no further! I had a wonderful experience at TruSmiles. Dr. Lam was very patient and spent a lot of time informing me of her actions and answering my questions. She doesn’t skimp out on explaining how the procedures will be carried out and uses a camera show me issues. There wasn’t a time during my visit where I felt rushed. I will trust Dr. Lam for my future dental care. The dental work was thorough and quality checked. She works fast and efficient. Making an appointment was painless and easy, I had my appointment the next day. The office isn’t overloaded with patients and I didn’t have to wait at all. They don’t overbook their office and make sure they have enough time for each patient. The front desk is very courteous and available to talk to. None of them had that “I don’t want to be here” vibe and they all made an effort to care to my needs. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a family dentist! It’s a family friendly place with employees that are trusting, careful, qualified, and patient! I’ve been to many dentists and gone through many procedures and this is my favorite dental place! The office is very clean and organized. The office is often decorated according to seasons/holidays, who likes a plain, boring dental office anyway! There is also entertainment for the kids in the waiting room, big plus! The receptionist is very nice and is great at calling to schedule/confirm appointments. Dr. Lam is VERY knowledgeable and explain everything so you have a better understanding during your appt. She does not hesitate to answer any question. I have tons of fillings and she was able to fix/redo the fillings from prior dental procedures-without any pain, she’s generous with the numbing if you just ask. I even have a questionable filling from a former dentist that showed up on the x-ray and she goes out of her way to figure the problem out. She’s also great with kids! Was very gentle during a check-up for my 2 yr. old. Gives out goodies for them! I live out of state now and am willing to fly out for checkups cuz she is the only teeth doc I would trust for dental work and advice!

Trusmiles Family Dental is a nice dental clinic to have your teeth cared, Dr. Lam was very nice and carefully went through all of the procedures that I need in my last week’s visit to her clinic. Also, her assistant, Karen was nice too. I had my teeth X-rayed, cleaned, fluoride treatment and cavities filled with great satisfaction. Yes, I would recommend Dr. Laura Lam’s dental clinic to my family and friends. Update 10/28/14: I went back to Dr. Lam for the cavity fill which had been done 10 days ago. There is some roughness in the cavity fill which has caused my dental floss torn coming through. Dr. Lam was carefully went through the roughness and showed me the issue and did the process of smoothing that rough fill. I appreciate it. Thanks, Dr. Lam and Karen.

And let’s be honest, it’s also a vanity thing, haha 😉 Dr. Laura Lam is such a warm, happy and friendly person and so is her staff. Her practice is very fast and efficient. I never have to wait much after check-in. Cleanings are done herself so it cuts down on the time in office because you don’t have to wait for the dentist’s evaluation after the dental hygienist is finished with you. She’s professional and always takes my questions kindly and seriously. Coming here feels less about necessary clinical procedures than it is about seeing someone who cares about you (your teeth particularly) after six long months. I highly recommend her if you enjoy personable healthcare—a rarity these days.

The BEST dentist I’ve ever been to. She is a sole practitioner, so you only see one dentist, unlike the dental mills that seem to be the norm nowadays. She does not double schedule her appointments. Because of this, you are the only patient being seen. This helps keep your appointment customized and you have her full attention. She also has Saturday openings by appointment only which helps with busy schedules. I especially appreciated Dr. Lam’s honesty in giving me choices on filling by son’s baby teeth. Thought they had cavities, he will be losing them soon. She gave me less invasive choices, rather than simply filling the cavity to make money. I have all my family coming here now.

Dr. Laura Lam has been practicing dentistry professionally for more than 10 years. She earned her dental degree from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in 2003. Following her education, she completed a post graduate General Practice Residency program from Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New York. Dr. Lam has extensive experience working with patients of all ages and backgrounds. She is a firm believer in minimally invasive dentistry. Dr. Lam also believes that continued education is essential to providing the best possible dental services and results. She regularly takes part in dental seminars, training workshops, and study clubs to bring state of the art dental care to her patients. She chose to open her practice in the beautiful city of Huntington Beach, CA because of her love of the ocean and the community. It has long been a dream of hers to create a practice that she could personally develop to her own ideal: a quality based dental practice that places the health and well-being of her patients as the number one priority.
