The need for urgent dental care landed me at the dental office of Dr. Hinton, DDS, and staff. I was concerned about going, because I had already experienced another medical practice that seemed to be sloppy in its COVID-19 protection precautions. On my arrival to Dr. Hinton’s office, however, I was thoroughly impressed with the care and attention this staff put into place to minimize contact and help the patient feel reassured that every precaution was being taken to keep them safe. I was asked questions about my health before entering the office, then temperature tested. The setup at the reception desk was marvelous. Dr. Hinton and Staff had erected custom-made clear barriers. Furthermore, some of the staff were wearing custom-made safety uniforms with filtered air masks. Knowing how close a dentist and dental hygienist gets to your face—when your own mask must be off—can be scary. But it was clear that the staff had gone to great lengths to keep patients—as well as themselves—safe. I witnessed staff disinfecting chairs and equipment after use. And the checkout process was clean and easy. As for the dental procedure, Dr. Hinton and staff were warm, friendly, and attentive. They made sure I was comfortable and regularly checked in with me to see if I was okay during the procedure or if I needed a break. My only issue with this practice is that when I called in by phone (trying on different days and at different times), I did not reach a staff member (except one time) but get a message that only gave office hours but didn’t offer the patient a menu to leave a message and expect a return call. That setup would be very helpful and reassuring to the patient.

I have not been to the dentist in years, due to bad experience that has just left me very nervous to seek dental care. Until February that I started to see Dr. Hinton and her staff whom have all taken well care of me and my fears. I would highly recommend Dr.Hinton to family/friends! I would give more than 5 stars if I could- 🙂

I had severe anxiety issues about dentists for years due to a couple of bad experiences. I’ve been with Dr. Hinton for 10+ years. She made me feel so very comfortable and I love her staff. She was nurturing yet very competent and thorough. My entire family travels about an hour to see her. If you’re in need of a dentist who’s caring and who won’t recommend a treatment that’s not needed come to TTH Family Denistry!
