Ive had so many bad experiences with dentists, that I genuinely fear them. The anesthesia wears off unusually fast for me and so I always end up feeling the pain of whatever procedure. This did NOT happen with Dr Yoza. He and the young lady assisting , were amazing. They both were so kind and patient with me. He made sure every few minutes that I was still alright, and then he would proceed. Just absolutely amazing.

Me and dental work not getting along well. We moved to the area recently from Indiana and needed family dentist. Dr Yoza and the staff are super amazing. They go above and beyond to provide appropriate care. They are very accommodating. I required emergency intervention. Stop**If you are apprehensive about going to the dentist you found the right office. I have been going to this office with my children for over 10 years and have never had a chance to write a review for them. This office has a warm group of staff working for them from the time you book your appointment to the way you get greeted to their office. Do not put your routine cleanings off just pick up the telephone and book your next appointment with them. My favorite hygienist is Kirsten but everyone is awesome and let me not forget to mention Dr. Yoza an expert in his field. Love this office and I know you will also.

This dental office is top notch. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by front desk gal Blanca who is extremely nice and easy to speak with. When you get to the operatory with the back office, Kiersten my hygienist is great at what she does and is so sweet and gentle. Dr Yoza and his staff are very friendly and helpful. They seem to have almost no turnover so I get the same people each time I go in and that makes me comfortable. They are all very knowledgeable, personable and pricing is very fair and reasonable. Kirsten is my hygienist and she is awesome. She chatted with me and made me feel very comfortable while also explaining everything she was doing and answering questions when I had them. I felt that she was very professional, knew her stuff, and was just a genuinely nice person. Dr Yoza is great. He is very friendly, and kind. I haven’t been to a dentist in a very long time, 15 years. I have had bad experiences with prior dentists and the long, long wait times, never seeing the same dentists twice, etc. You all know exactly what I’m talking about. I found Dr. Yoza on Delta Dental’s web site and based on the good Yelp reviews decided to give him a try. I was very nervous the first visit, 1-30-17. After just a few minutes in the office, I started to feel very at ease with the staff. I was taken back right away and wasn’t left to wonder my fate in “the chair” for long periods of time. I was given a very thorough exam by Dr. Yoza, great bedside manner, and one of the assistants Vanessa, she’s great too. My first cleaning was scheduled and an old crown needed replacing plus “monitoring” one other tooth. I was scheduled and went in on 2-7-17 and after a few office details, was taken back right away. How about that, no long wait times and a schedule that ISN’T booked three months out. When I first walked in, one of the first people I noticed was Vanessa. She informed me that they would be able to take care of the crown that day and replace the “monitored” tooth as well as my partial deep cleaning. (I have to go back to finish the cleaning because there is quite a bit of work to do, remember, it’s been 15 years.) It would take awhile in the office but it could all be done the same day. Kirsten was my hygienist. She was amazing and super friendly and did a great job plus was very gentle. I was in the office most of the day but all the work was done and I walked away with very little pain. That was yesterday and outside of a little minor discomfort today, and I do mean minor, my work was done and I feel just fine. Partial deep cleaning and two crowns put in. They mill the crowns in the office. No temporary crowns and having to come back. When they starting milling them, it took about 30 minutes or so to mill, check for fit and glaze them. Wow. This has been such a great experience for me with the speeding and fantastic service. They are all very friendly, comforting, reassuring and get this, they all listen to what YOU want. If you are looking for a great dentistry office and staff, stop looking, you found them. Give them a try, you can always walk away. But after the first visit, I honestly can’t see why anyone would want to.

I’ve been going to Dr. Yoza and his staff for about 4 years now. I was referred to them by my mother-in-law after I had a bad experience with another valley dentist. UHFD are friendly, expedient/on-time, and cautious. Friendly in their demeanor in all customer service ways; expedient of getting you in when it’s your actual scheduled appointment and with processing your dental insurance and/or self-pay; and cautious in listening to you when they’re doing their work (I.e. stopping the drilling if you’re not fully numb, bleeding from flossing or other work, etc. I HIGHLY recommend checking them out!

What drew me to this clinic in the first place is that Dr. Yoza served in the United States Air Force. I always prefer to do business with a fellow service member. This was my first visit to this clinic. So lets start with the office staff – they were extremely professional and caring. Bianca went out of her way (willing) to accommodate me as a new patient. Ok here we go again. I posted last week about how wonderful the staff is and today was my follow up appointment. I needed two cavaties filled and of course my anxiety is on full throttle. The assistant (different one this time) made me feel completely at ease. Again this different assistant had me cracking up, it felt like I was chatting with an old friend. Think about that for a minute, that means this doctor has hired 2 amazing dental assistants who know how to connect with you on a human level. I’m a manager and can’t coach this. Ok back to the story I’m prepared to have an anxiety attack. I’ve packed my wireless headphones so I can play some relaxing music to help keep me calm (yes I know, I’m a mess) but the truth is I really didn’t need them. I was comfortable and relaxed throughout the process. Dr. Yoza has a way of calming your spirit. Now my new fancy Bluetooth headphones ran out of juice and the assistant let me borrow her headphones (I’m in love with her at this point). And to top it all off Dr.Yoza is a Game of Thrones fan and we discussed the final episode. I’m not the relationship type but Dr.Yoza and I are now committed to one another. I commit to seeing him every 6 months lol. Sorry for the long posts but I had to rave about how exceptional every single person in that office is. You will truly be cared for from the front desk to the lady who takes ALL your money. Thank you guys for removing my fear and I can’t wait to see you in 6 months.

Dr. Yoza is very skilled and we feel confident in him as well as the assistants and hygienists. I also would like to add that, compared to other offices, the front office staff are actually quite on top of the insurance billing and the estimates for service are generally very accurate. I agree that there could be more evening/weekend hours but I know Dr. Yoza is a believer in work-life balance and…just maybe… that is why his staff seem happy and stay with him! Luke AFB highly recommended him for military dependents and sent active duty there for treatment when the dental clinic at Luke needed dentist to take care of their patients on short notice. Ethan Yoza, DDS, FAGD established Union Hills Family Dentistry in 2006 after serving in the United States Air Force. Due to his reputation for compassionate, high quality care, he out grew his initial office space and relocated to a new state of the art facility on the NW corner of Union Hills Drive and the loop 101, easy access from anywhere in the west valley.
