Went to see Dr. for a tooth that has been plaguing me for some time. Dr. made me feel so comfortable, despite my nervousness. His office is clean, and attractive and staff were pretty nice. He was very accommodating regarding my schedule. I felt in capable hands during what was a complicated root canal and he explained the process clearly. There was even a period of time when I had to wait for the antibiotic to work and he brought in an iPad to pass the time. It seemed very important to him that I was comfortable at all times. He even repeated, “There is no need for you to feel pain.” Hopefully I never personally need to return, but I would recommend him to anyone who needs an endodontist.

Dr. Hakim is seriously the best dentist I have ever encountered. She is very nice and also very efficient. I did an extensive research to find a dentist in San Francisco when I moved to SF from east coast and one of my friends recommended Union Square Dental Practice. I had my first visit almost a year ago when I got surprised by a modern spotless clean office. Everyone in this office smiles. Dr. Hakim also espoke to me personally and explained the entire treatment plan and every detail on my X-ray. Upon concluding my exam and look at my before/after pictures. I decided to have a smile design and anterior veneers since my small teeth were always bothering me and I always wanted to have a nice smile but I could never find a dentist to trust. Dr. Hakim has always been helping me make decisions that are right for my oral health. She showed me the model of my mouth and how my teeth were going to look like after getting the veneers. She helped me to choose teeth colors that best matches my face and my other teeth. The entire process was painless and she was gentle. I got my perfect veneers in couple of days and she not only changed my smile but my entire personality. I’ve since referred 4 friends to Dr. Hakim and they are very happy as well. I came to Union Square Dental a few weeks ago after one of my friends recommended it to me. I can honestly say that this was one of the best dental office visits I have ever had. Dr Hakim made me feel right at home and I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the office and the friendliness of the whole staff. I go to school at UC Berkeley and I will be more than willing in the future to take the trip across the bay because of the superior service at Union Square Dental compared with some of the offices around Berkeley. It’s also a very economical option for a student like myself. Definitely recommending this office to my friends and family!

I couldn’t eat with my right side for years. whenever I bit on something, I felt a strange shocking pain going all the way up to my head, so I avoided chewing with my right side. I’m missing a tooth on the left. Imagine how it feels when you cannot chew and enjoy your meals. I saw different dentists and none of them had a solution. My friend who is going to Dr.Hakim for a long time introduced her to me. She was the first dentist who found a crack in my molar tooth and recommended a cap. Right after I started the treatment, and I received my temporary crown, I STARTED CHEWING on my right side comfortably. Just imagine how wonderful it feels when I started ENJOYING my meals after years. Now I chew with peace of mind because the crown that I got there is embracing and protecting my tooth   I also used to grind my teeth at nights and after a while I realized that my teeth are becoming shorter and shorter. Dr. Hakim explained how she can reinforce my front teeth. Now I have healthy and strong teeth. What I  like mostly about her is that she takes her time to explain everything. I learned how to protect my teeth with the night-guard she made for me. Now I smile with confidence. I am happy that I found my favorite dentist and I GIVE HER FIVE STARS.

With no gripe whatever about my dentist for 25 years, I switched to Union Square Dental Practice when the sisters Hakim, Nazanin  she is  young and wonderfully credentialed, opened their new office. Everything is brand new and up-to-the-minute, including the skills of everyone involved. I had a welcoming and pain-free visit, and I was more than satisfied with every part of the experience. Happily, my oral needs are minimal, but after such a long tenure somewhere else, I was concerned that I had done the right thing in changing. I did!!   I particularly like the convenience of communicating with the practice by email  —  for making and confirming appointments, and for sharing digital xrays and records with other dental specialists, if their involvement would be necessary. I was impressed enough to make this my first Yelp review!

Firstly, I would like to thank Dr. Nazanin for her indescribable care and kindness. I am a patient that has had several bad experiences in the past by dentists and have a great fear going in, yet I felt comfortable and in good hands with her. She is professional and very experienced in dealing with all types of patients. I would also like to commend my hygienist, Lamees, who was so gentle and masterful with her knowledge and standard of care. Secondly, the office is was very clean and pristine. It sets a high standard for dental offices!

I never minded going to the dentist, but I was always cautious because I had bad experiences in the past. Coming here I was nervous, which I always am going into any new health care facility. That feeling was gone the moment I walked in the door. From the front desk to both doctors, you will never find another office that treats you better. They go above and beyond for their patients. My teeth cleaning was excellent and from there I inquired about possible Veneers on my front two teeth due to thinning. In the past, this has been offered to me, but it was the only option given and for some reason something was holding me back. These doctors gave me this as an option as well, but also gave me quite a few other options that were more and less invasive. Never have I ever in my adult life been given OPTIONS for my dental care! They let me feel in control of my health and my smile. I was never told I had to do something one certain way like every single doctor in the past. This office is incredible. If you are searching for the best dental practice in SF, look no further because I have been to a few already and have been they guinea pig per say for you. All I can say is, you better hope they continue to take new patients! This office is amazing! I have told many close friends in SF that they absolutely should go here! Highly recommend! 10 stars out of 5!

Knowledgeable dentist that provides quality care at moderate-ish prices. Pros: + Technologically advanced dental devices + Friendly staff members all around + Clean, spacious, bright, and inviting office  + Offers affordable dental package for the uninsured + Appointments are punctual and smooth Dr. Nazanin: + Thorough in her exam + Knowledgeable and explains in-depth + Patient, warm personality + Gentle touch In-Depth: Wow! Digital x-rays and images of my chipped molars and gum recession were quite impressive. I LOVED being able to actually see where my problem areas were. For me, these things help me decide my next plan of action.   – great from start to finish. I walked in w/o a clue and she educated me on their Quality Dental Plan. Needless to say, I was sold the moment I spoke with her. She’s friendly, patient, and very helpful. Their office – modern but not over the top. Like! It’s clean, it’s inviting, there’s background music. If you’re scared of dentists, this place will put you at ease. Uninsured? They offer their very own Quality Dental Plan. At $400/year, you get 2 dental visits a year that include an exam and cleaning, and yearly x-rays. Costlier things like fillings will have a 15% discount. There’s more to the plan but I was focused on exam and cleanings. Punctuality – amazing thus far. As a new patient, I was taken into Dr. Nazanin’s office to discuss my dental history. She was very thorough and asked about my concerns (major like!). I then spent ~20 minutes on x-rays with her awesome assistant. The general exam and cleaning took ~1 hour. In at 3:30PM, out at ~5PM. After the exam, she recapped everything we went over, what dental work may need to be done, what work should probably get done, potential costs, cost options, preventative care, and my overall dental health. Working in healthcare, I can honestly say she’s a great provider. It’s not easy finding quality doctors who are good at their craft, have great bedside manners, AND know more than they need to so they can be as helpful as possible. Their prices are also fairly reasonable. Can you find cheaper prices for dental work? Probably. But I’d rather pay a little more for quality care that I know I can count on. If I could, I’d visit the dentist every 3 months. What can I say? I like getting my teeth cleaned!

Love love love my new dental office! Let me count the ways…. 1) Hands down probably the best cleaning I’ve ever received. And painless too! They use this sonic-water-cleaning thing, so no bloody gums, no pain, just beautiful clean teeth. 2) Super kind and knowledgeable dentist. Dr. Hakim was so sweet and so gentle and so quick! My smile looks amazing because of her. But best of all, she is compassionate and down to earth. No hard sells, no pushing of products, just professionalism and talented. 3) Unquestionably the most talented practice manager/receptionist/insurance guru mans the front desk. Seriously, this lady knows what she’s doing. I heard her explain about 4 different insurance plans and their benefits and loopholes, in depth, without pausing. Where do you find that level of customer service and knowledge these days? You don’t. And this makes her exceptional. In sum, this place is the best dental practice I have found. I could not be more pleased.
