Dr Yen is amazing! First of all I do not like going to the dentist like most people. The thought of the needle and drilling… bad. But Dr Yen is so good that I enjoy going to the dentist now and I’m not afraid anymore. I’ve always always felt the needle when the Dentist injected my cheek ever since I was a kid. Hated it with a passion! Dr Yen was the very first one where I didn’t feel anything. She was so careful and slow that I didn’t even know that she injected the needle. She is super caring and was always asking about my confort. I had 3 cavities and she told me that my jaw may be sore from the fillings. I had no soreness and I was able to eat within the hour! The staff was very friendly and it’s a new office so everything is brand new. They have these huge TVs in each room so you can not only see your X-rays as Dr Yen explains your needs, but you can watch shows as she works on you as a distraction. I love the warm face towels and blanket they give you to make the experience as comfortable as possible. I also like how Dr Yen gives you multiple options and let’s you choose what you want. THE best dentist I’ve ever been too.

A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE, especially for those of us who don’t usually like to go to the dentist! Dr. Nguyen-Tran and her team are very professional, super helpful, and friendly with my two toddlers. I appreciate how easy they make it with visiting with kids and scheduling appointments. Plus, the office is beautiful and the kids’ space is even better! I love the fact you can choose what kind of music is playing or what to watch when you’re getting dental work done. And the hot towels afterwards…WOW. Highly recommend!

Dr. Yen is such an amazing dentist. She is the first dentist I’ve ever had that is willing to take a conservative approach to dental work. By that I mean, she noticed my gums had improved a lot with my improved flossing regiment and decided to wait a few months to see if my gums would heal enough on their own to avoid the need for a deep cleaning. Most dentists, in my experience, are just out to get as much money as possible and often do unnecessary work to do so. It’s a really nice to know that Dr. Yen is looking out for me and my comfort above money. In addition to that, the pricing at Union Street is the most transparent pricing I’ve ever experienced with a dentist before. Honest and accurate costs are really important when you are on a budget! I love Union Street Dental and Dr. Yen. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

Dr. Yen truly puts her patients needs and wants into mind before doing anything. She makes sure you are truly comfortable and during procedures is constantly making sure you aren’t in any pain. I haven’t met much staff but between dr. Yen and lily I get the vibe everyone in the building has your best intentions on their heart. I’m so glad I found them. I was have tooth pain she looked to see what was wrong and had me scheduled no less than a week later. Highly recommend stopping by if you need dental work

I’m so glad to have found my new dentist, Dr. Yen Nguyen-Tran. My old dentist retired and I tried out Dr. Yen by referral. She had an immediately wonderful and welcoming bedside manner and was extremely knowledgeable and transparent throughout the entire process. She was also down to earth which I appreciated. My hygienist was also great–very thorough, gentle and easy-going. Their office is modern, comfortable and even visiting during the pandemic, I felt quite safe and that their protocols for COVID were very well established. I look forward to my next visit!

I wrote a VERY UNFAVORABLE REVIEW for this business, not 1 week ago. I not only wish to retract it, I want to apologize. There was a CLEAR MISUNDERSTANDING . Dr. Yen called me at my home, and offered me service on her day off. That level of COMMITMENT , speaks NOT ONLY to her character , but her willingness to teaching her team . I applaud being sought out, and her willingness to listen to my concerns. The relationship could have ended with my crappy review. So Thankful it didn’t. Thank you DR. Yen. Thank You for the concern and understanding after a misunderstanding. Look forward to working with your team.

Union Street Dental is a newer office located on the corner of MLK jr Way and Union.  right across the street from where I work.  Had an Abscessed tooth.  I honestly didn’t know what to do no insurance.  They treated me with respect.  I had to get my tooth pulled.  Needless to say I hate getting a tooth pulled because all Dentists I have gone to, I am on edge and in pain when I leave there.  Dr Yen Nguyen-Tran is the best.  Her and her staff, are the best.. I honestly had to ask if she was done, because I felt nothing, and then after the numbing wears off, you are in even worse pain, not from her.  I will definitely be having her take over my dental care.  I have no insurance. but having her treat me will be well worth the price.   Thank you all at Union Street Dental!!

Dr. Yen and her staff are super friendly and helpful. I did the zoom whitening and now I have bright and natural white look;) The entire process was comfortable and clear. The environment/room is so clean, bright and intelligent (they have Alexa to play your fav songs and you can watch shows at the same time!!!!). They talk about the basics and fees and let you have the big picture which is reasonable and secure. Plus it’s convenient to get there with route 8 right in front of the dental:)

The most beautiful, modern, gorgeously designed dental office I’ve ever seen. I found the place so inviting. My intake paperwork had some interesting questions such as ‘favorite tv show?’, ‘favorite artist/music genre?’ And figuring they were doing research for their office playlist I obliged only to get seated and comfy in my exam chair only to hear my favorite artist playing and my favorite show displayed on the flatscreen in front of my chair. It was a refreshing and surprising experience. Not only that, Dr. Yen was attentive, thorough and has a very gentle, yet effective way of communicating with her patients. Could not wish for more from a dentist. Thank you for the great experience. No one likes the dentist, but they make it as good a possible experience to have.

Best all around healthcare experience I have ever had! Dr. Yen gives off all the confidence of a seasoned professional, while still being really warm, friendly, and caring. She can numb your whole face without having to feel a single needle prick! The care team there will make sure you stay warm, comfortable, and well distracted from the fact that you’re getting holes drilled in your head. After two hours in the chair and three fillings, it felt like a walk in the park. The hot towel at the end of everything is a really nice touch. They also work really hard to make sure that you know what expenses you are covering, and how best to use your insurance for your benefit.10/10 experience and care, would recommend to everyone!

I have been going to Dr. Yen when she was in Tacoma. But I was so unhappy with my services after she left. So now I drive 1 hour to go see her in Seattle! Her dental office is SO cute and SO clean. Her staff and my hygienist made sure I was totally comfortable from beginning to end. From playing the music genre that I like, to what I want to watch on Netflix, hot towel at the end, blanket to keep my warm abs comfy, etc etc etc. DEF worth the drive. Seriously THE best!

Dr. Tran is amazing, she is so gentle and informs you of everything, and walks you through every step of the procedure. I have very bad anxiety and I have had 2 extractions done by her in the last year and have had her use Carbocain which has NO epinephrine in it do to my anxiety and both times I was comfortable and didn’t feel a thing, I will not go to see any other dentist she is wonderful. I Highly recommend Dr. Tran.

My old dentist retired and, like many of us, I don’t really enjoy the whole dental experience so I put off finding a new one for a couple of years. Finally I made an appointment at Union Street Dental and boy, did I find the right place! I have some potentially bad dental problems but both my hygienist Erin and Dr. Yen did a fantastic job of making me feel comfortable and put my fears at rest by focusing on the positive things rather than the negative. I also had no idea a trip to the dentist could be almost a spa-like experience. A warm towel for my face infused with essential oils after my cleaning? ‘Yes please! Plenty of options in terms of videos or music to enjoy while the team does their work too. The fact that I’m actually looking forward to my next visit speaks volumes about the quality of care at Union Street Dental

My experience here was great! The receptionist was really friendly and accommodating to the mess that I usually am (didn’t have my dental id, a little late, etc). The clinic itself is gorgeous, which is so rare for any dental clinic. I was getting married a week after and they were able to get in a last minute appt for me to get Zoom White. They prepped me saying I needed to use sensodyne immediately for it to hurt less on the phone when I made the appt and told me to take some ibuprofen before. I was a little shocked when I was filling out the forms because they asked who my favorite singer was and what my favorite show was. Well, I got to the room and they had Britney Spears Radio on in the room and Animal Planet playing on the television screen. DREAM COME TRUE. It took about an 1.5-2 hours for the whole Zoom White procedure and I left with very white teeth and trays with bleach to keep my teeth white. Yen, the dentist came around many times to make sure my teeth were okay and to make sure I wasn’t hurting to bad. While they hurt a little bit after because of the bleach and the UV rays applied to my teeth, i was perfectly fine the next day and ready to go on with my busy life! I would HIGHLY recommend Union Street because you can tell they truly care about service.
