My experience with Dr. Ho was everything I could want from a dental visit. The reception staff were friendly and served me immediately. The facilities were clean and pleasant. Dr. Ho did a great job cleaning my teeth even though it has been a few years since my last dental visit, due to being out of the country for a few years. She was thorough in the cleaning and in the exam and took the time to clearly explain to me what she was doing along the way and how I could proactively improve care for my teeth. She patiently answered all of my questions and I learned some things about caring for my teeth that I had never known before. Dr. Ho was professional, pleasant, showed genuine care for me as a patient, and was confident and fluid in her work. I had a very positive experience and would highly recommend Dr. Ho without hesitation

Dr, Vanessa Ho is as good as a dentist can get. I have had probably two hundred Novocain shots in my life and she is the best by far. Her manner is caring and confident. Her staff is warm and efficient. Sue, the front desk manager, is so specific re: insurance/prices/billing, you always feel they are on your side. They make YOUR dental care the first priority and their “business” is not even an issue or a thought. You don’t feel “it’s a line”. Also, Annie, Dr. Ho’s assistant, is very sweet and attentive and that is comforting. I have also recommended a few friends to Dr. Ho. Even if I move out of Burbank (but still in SoCal) I’ll be seeing Dr. Ho twice a year. I used to hate going to the dentist, now I don’t mind it as much

Vanessa is so great. I was scared of visiting the dentist for YEARS. Ever since I started visiting Vanessa & getting my regular check-ins/teeth cleaning, my teeth have stopped randomly aching & I feel way better about my smile. So I’m one of those people who have an irrational fear of dentists. I made it a goal in 2017 to get over that fear and get any issues with my teeth taken care of. I went to 3 other dentists before found Vanessa. I’m really happy to have found her! Vanessa is very good at what she does and she’s very accommodating to my fear of dentistry. I’ll start by saying that I have an unbelievably intense fear of going to the dentist. As a kid I had to have all but one or two of my baby teeth extracted and it was a horrible, traumatizing experience, prompting me to avoid going to the dentist for 9 years at one point. I started having problems with my teeth about four days ago and knew I needed to get them looked at (considering that at this point it’s been four years since I’ve last sat in a dentists chair) before things got any worse. Since I moved to CA three years ago I didn’t know where to go, but Yelp reviews guided me to Dr. Ho and OMG I am so beyond grateful. I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours of calling her office. She was gentle, explained everything to me step by step, and was able to fix the problem that day. She was very thorough, she actually looked at the paperwork I filled out (pretty sure no doctor I’ve been to actually looks at that stuff) and asked me questions to clarify what medications I’m on, etc., in order to give me proper care. I received the most amazing dental care today, there aren’t enough words to express my gratitude to Dr. Ho. I will definitely be going back to her, even for regular cleanings, which is something I’ve never said in the past

I went in for a cleaning and exam after not having been to the dentist in a long time. The staff was super friendly and professional, and was able to squeeze me in for a visit the same week I called. The hygienist was very good, probably one of the easiest and pain-free cleanings I have ever had (even though I’d gone way too long between appointments). After that they took x-rays, which was quick and easy. I’m glad they did, because they caught some cavities that would not have been discovered from a regular exam. Dr. Ho did the exam and found a few little problems. She was very kind and professional, giving lots of suggestions on how to avoid future problems in a knowledgeable yet easy-to-understand way. It is clear that she is very passionate about her work and good at what she does. Finally, the pricing was very fair, even with no dental insurance. I would highly recommend this office to anyone and would definitely return if I wasn’t moving to another part of the state

I am so pleased with Dr. Vanessa Ho. I had a tooth that kept getting infected since I was pregnant ( about two years ago) and I couldn’t do much because I was pregnant. That tooth had multiple filings, deep, and my previous dentist 5 years go said I would probably need a root canal the next time I come back for that tooth. Fast forward to two months ago when I visited the dentist, she gave me a referral to see an Endodontist for a root canal. After the root canal, I was still feeling discomfort and two months after, developed a big ball behind that tooth. I thought that this was happening due to the fact that I did not go back to my dentist to get a crown. I was waiting to do this next year in Jan when I have dental benefits again. I was so nervous and felt distrust towards my previous dentist, so I remembered that my girlfriend told me that she would only go to Dr. Ho for all her dental needs. I’ve met Dr. Ho from church many years ago in the children’s ministry where both our kids went and knew her as a warm mother-so i decided to message to tell her my situation and see if she could help me. She responded quickly and squeezed me in between her patients the very next morning. Dr. Ho was surprised that I got a root canal because I had so severe bone loss next to that tooth that she would have recommended that I do an extraction and implant. She suggested that I see the Endodontist to have him look at it as it looked like the root was infected. She also gave me a referral to get my tooth extracted and have an implant consult with an oral surgeon. I’m grateful that she suggested I do this because upon seeing Dr. Gee at the Ivy Institute in Arcadia, he said it appears that my tooth is fractured and he did not see this when he removed the filling which is why he proceeded to perform the root canal. He then told me that i needed to get the tooth extracted ASAP and even offered to reimburse me for the root canal (i paid 447, insurance paid 840ish) So i scheduled the appointment to see the oral surgeon that Dr. Ho recommended, and I was so pleased with the procedure-office was clean, professional, surgeon was excellent. I am excited to go back and feel like I’m in great hands now with Dr. Ho. My only regret is I should’ve seen her earlier! She is not only an excellent dentist but an honest and sincere person

I can see why she gets such a high rating. I came in here due to some discomfort with a crown placed by another dentist, after my trust in him had been shaken. I was convinced it was infected and I was due for a big ordeal. She examined me thoroughly, listened to all of my concerns, and seemed extremely knowledgable. She also seemed somewhat dismayed at my previous treatment. She wound up filing the crown down a bit after taking the time to check my bite. She is very gentle and takes the time to really explain things…without you having to ask. Also Sue in the front office is terrific…very professional and thorough (I’ve never even had someone explain the “dental fact sheet” to me before…) and checked out all my insurance before I even arrived. I’ll be becoming a patient here as soon as I need my next cleaning & xrays, and will update my review as necessary but really, we’re off to a great start

Dr. Vanessa Ho is the best dentist in Burbank!!!!!!!!!! I had an emergency and needed to find a dentist quit. I hadn’t been to the dentist in years and called early in the morning and had an appointment within an hour. The love and warmth that Dr. Vanessa showed was astounding. She wants to make sure your in the best care and explains everything in detail and shows you everything. I was a smoker for almost 20 years (the cause for me to see a dentist) and she came up with options best suited for me. She could have taken advantage of me and saw the $$$ she would have gotten off me but that’s not in her heart. What is in her heart is to help her patients in anyway she can. Honestly she changed my life, the road I was going I would have ended up really sick. I can’t thank her enough for what she did for me. I’m thrilled to have found Dr. Ho as a dentist! I have spent A LOT of time in dental chairs since I was a little kid (I’m prone to cavities- my whole family has had to get lots of dental work done- and I grind/clench at night). I can confidently say that Dr. Ho is one of the best of the best. Dr. Ho makes you feel at ease. Along with her hygienist and assistants, you feel comfortable and taken care of while in her care. Believe everything you read on the reviews! 100% true with another impressed patient to add to the growing list. I called to see if I could get my daughter registered as a new patient and book in for an examination/xrays/clean as she has just moved into the area with a new job. The receptionist Sue was extremely friendly and helpful and undertook researching the obscure dental insurance company straight away, submitting and confirming 100% coverage too. I was very impressed with such personal and professional customer service, plus she was lovely to talk to as well. Sue is such a nice lady. So rare in dental/medical offices these days, (although we are lucky we have another lovely receptionist at our primary provider too!). Congratulations to Dr Ho for hiring such a gem! My daughter duly visited a few days later and Dr Ho was extremely gentle and friendly and did a great job. Very thorough examination which luckily found no further work required. No add ons or unnecessary work which is often the case with other dentists. A follow up cleaning was booked easily. We have a wonderful family dentist where we live, and it is such a relief to know that our daughter has found the equivalent in Burbank too.

During a brief 6 month span when I had dental insurance that only allowed certain dentists, an “unnamed” dentist recommended I get 3 fillings and other unnecessary work probably in order to bill more revenue. Something was definitely off and it was then I knew and understood that I needed a dentist that was on my side, only doing what was best for me and my health. Dr. Ho is a highly qualified, professional, and personable dentist. Not only does she look after the dental care/needs of her patients, but she is also concerned about the personal well-being of her patients. She has the best interest of her patients in mind and she is one of the kindest people I know. In addition, she is highly skilled and knowledgeable and has a steady hand. Other dentists I have used in the past have unintentionally poked or stabbed me with their dental instruments. She has a great sense of integrity and high moral standards. She is someone you can trust and someone who will be honest with you. After getting a root canal, I went to Dr. Ho for gum lengthening surgery and a crown for my upper molar. The upper molar is probably the most difficult tooth to perform dental services on since it is in the back of my mouth and I have lots of cheek tissue that kept getting in the way. What I really appreciated was that Dr. Ho would advise me on each step of the process and tell me why each surgery was required or needed and let me decide which option I would like to pursue. She drew upon her experience with other similar patients and was able to articulate technical dental terms in a way that I could easily understand. The surgery was painless, smooth, and quick and I am very satisfied with my crown. Dr. Ho follows up with me on a regular basis to ensure that the crown is intact and that I don’t have any discomfort

I needed to do this review a while ago, but wanted to make sure I could do it justice when I could devote the time to writing it. Long story short, prior to becoming a patient of Dr. Ho, I had an almost year long problem with a front tooth that started as a fairly simple procedure (previous veneer that chipped), escalating to endless visits to the dentist because of faulty veneers, more “drilling/prepping” and eventually turning into a full crown. It was a physically and emotionally traumatizing time because of the lack of communication about my procedure and essentially not having a front tooth for almost a year (imagine trying to put on and take off a temporary tooth just to eat and smile for almost a year). After all that, I finally got fed up and decided to find someone else who I could trust to fix this growing problem. I went to probably 5 dentists to compare and get opinions. Susan, Dr. Ho’s office manager was truly amazing and comforting as a person who wasn’t trying to get my business but actually make sure they could take care of my immediate needs as well as do the job right. She was one of the reasons why I trusted that office. Dr. Ho was transparent about my diagnosis but also encouraged me to find the person who I felt most comfortable with taking care of my needs. In a sea of LA dentists who are trying to sell you a fake fluorescent smile and charge you up the wazoo, Dr. Ho is the opposite. Not only that, she was confident that she could return my smile to it’s normal state and was honest about everything. It was a rough start given my current situation but the final thing that sealed the deal with me was the lab they use for veneers/crowns/bridges/implants etc. I didn’t want this fake perfect looking tooth, I wanted the most aesthetically natural tooth to fit in with my existing smile and one that could not be detected as a “crown”. The technician is an absolute artist as well as a perfectionist in color matching, fit and aesthetics. I couldn’t believe how perfect the shape of the tooth was and how it blended in perfectly. My smile has been restored, better than ever! My tooth still has some sensitivity after having had so many procedures but it’s getting a little better as time goes on. I’m thankful that I stuck with my instinct and let Dr. Ho give me the best results that I could have ever asked for! I highly recommend this office if you are looking for honesty and the best care possible for your dental needs

I recently went to Dr. Ho for a routine check up. It was my first time under her care. The office was clean, and I felt the staff was friendly and courteous. When Dr. Ho checked out my teeth, she was very thorough and i felt at ease in her chair. Only thing was, she found a cavity! I had a large filling from a prior dentist from 20 years ago and most of the tooth was decayed. And so she advised getting a crown. I was a little uneasy about going through the process as I’ve not had a great experiences from prior dentists. Dr. Ho assured me the process would be easy and simple. I had to admit, getting a crown from Dr. Ho was practically painless. I’m usually a bit anxious when it comes to novocain shots, but all her shots were painless and I could tell she made great effort to make it painless. I could also tell that she had a steady hand, but she was not heavy handed. All in all, I had a great experience and a nice new crown to show for it. So if you are a little lets say, “tentative” about trying out a new dentist, you should try out Dr. Ho. You won’t be dissatisfied!

Went in for teeth cleaning during COVID and they will communicate changes to their office/process before your appointment and do multiple health screenings with you before and during your visit (i.e. temperature check, wear a mask, answer health questions, etc.). After practicing dentistry in the Burbank area for 7 years, Dr. Vanessa Ho decided to open up her own private practice. Our office aims to bring honest, excellent and caring dentistry to the wonderful people of Burbank and surrounding areas. Our goal is to improve not only smiles but the lives of people who walk into our office. Dr. Vanessa’s personal and professional lives reflect the excellence that she pursues in all of her endeavors. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA in 2001, graduating magna cum laude. In 2005, she graduated from UCLA Dental School, receiving several awards, including UCLA CDA student of the year, UCLA Community Dentistry Award, UCLA Restorative Dentist Award, UCLA Endodontic Award, UCLA Fixed Prosthodontic Award, and membership into Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society. In 2013, Dr. Ho was recognized as a Top Dentist by Pasadena Magazine. Dr. Ho’s professional licenses include the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society, the California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Ho is a local girl, having grown up in La Canada. She is married to Brandon Ho, also a practicing dentist and is the mother of two young children, Caden who is five and Kaitlyn who is two. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, playing the piano and drums, reading, and spending time with her children. She also has done and continues to do mission work as a Christian in her purpose to help others. Dr. Ho took over the practice which she owns today, carrying on the calling of the previous owner.
