When I got to Dr. K my teeth were in a horrible shape, I didn’t think I could be helped besides removing them and getting removable dentures, not to mention the emotional pain that came with it. I felt hopeless. Making the appointment with Dr. K was the smartest thing I have done. He gave me hope, he is a visionary and saw a way when no one else did. He was nice, kind and gentle and explained to me what he wanted to do I accepted and started my treatment. Throughout my treatment which included surgeries, I realized how lucky and blessed I was to be in such good hands, I felt very safe and I got to see how super professional he really is. I also saw the kind of person he is, he treated me with kindness, respect, humor and a lot of care. He is an honest man and has integrity. His staff is amazing and professional. My teeth look perfect and amazing and I don’t need to remove anything. Dr. K gave me my smile back and my life back, I am forever grateful to him.

I went to Dr. Vick’s office with one heck of a dental problem. He set out a plan and explained everything perfectly. I have been coming to Dr. Vick the last few months and I am very impressed with the results. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. On July 3 last year I was on deadline with a piece for the French Cinematheque when I experienced a painful swelling. My regular dentist wasn’t even returning calls, so I used the 800 line and called Dr. K. He took me as an emergency patient and treated the problem, which could have cost me my eye if I waited till after the long weekend. He has since done a full set of implants. If I asked him to save a real tooth rather than use an implant, he skillfully did it. He is a principled, highly skilled Doctor of Dental Surgery. If he charges more for a root canal than someone you’re comparing him to in order to choose a dentist, it’s because he is worth it. I met my deadline, didn’t lose my eye, and made a lovely group of new friends in my neighborhood: Vick and his amazing staff.

So, my tooth was killing me. It was a ridiculous throbbing pain that was causing headaches and swelling my face. I called the office and scheduled an emergency appointment. Dr. Vick was able to see me the same day. I entered and was greeted by the receptionist right away. They showed me to my room and was impressed with the amazing view of the city. The doctor walked in and asked me what was going on. I explained to him my symptoms and he took a look. My worst nightmare was confirmed and he told me I needed a root canal. He numbed the h*** out of that area and did his thing. After 45 minutes i immediately felt relieved and the constant headache had gone away. I think of Dr. Vick everyday when biting into my next meal.

If I could, I’d give Dr. Kargodorian a 10 star rating! I can’t say enough good things about this dentist. Not only are his skills top notch, but his demeanor and attitude are extremely pleasant. Getting dental work done is obviously not always fun, but he makes the experience smooth and painless. I should mention that I have had to go see him for more than just the average cleaning (that would be too easy). Broken / chipped teeth, root canals, you name it. Every (potentially) terrifying experience I’ve had with my teeth ended up being handled with absolute professionalism and care. Oh yea, furthermore, his staff is super friendly and accommodating – and also, it doesn’t hurt that his offices are always spotless, impeccable, highly modernized – and while you’re in the dental chair, as a bonus, you get an incredible view of the Hollywood hills. If you’re like me and use your teeth to chew, you want to visit Dr. Vick Kargodorian. He gave me a deep cleaning, filled a small cavity and replaced an old crown. Each process went smoothly; the doctor and his staff have a calming and professional demeanor about them which added to my pleasant experience. Also relaxating is the view outside his large windows towards the Hollywood Hills. This place is special. Dr. Vick’s work is fairly priced and top notch. He’s one of the few doctors specializing in “pin-hole” surgery for receding gums, so if that’s a concern for you, do yourself a favor and contact Dr. Vick about this!

I’ve been going to Dr. Kargodorian for more than four years. My husband just had an implant done by Dr. K. on his front tooth and we couldn’t be more happy with the results. All of our children go to Dr. Kargodorian. Not only is he an outstanding dentist, his hygienists are some of the best I’ve had, and his office staff are always friendly and professional (a rare thing in my experience with other dentists). Moreover, Dr. Kargodorian provides his patients with a thyroid guard on his X-ray vests – a plus for me since we all know thyroid cancer is on the rise – especially in women.

I am so happy to have found my dentist at last, Dr. “Vick” Kargodorian. I have an inherited oral degenerative condition, meaning my teeth are super prone to cavities and worse, breaking, falling out. This has caused me grief for years, but I have been unable to find a dentist who could work with me to sort out a short/long term process. While veneers are the goal, it’s not something I can do now. And Dr. Kargordian is the first dentist who thoroughly examined my teeth, asked and listened to my history, and discussed OPTIONS. I cried with relief. And now I cry happy tears because I have a partial denture for now that paves the way for the veneers I will eventually get. After years of feeling embarrassed, humiliated, covering my mouth, smiling with my mouth closed, I have my smile back at last! While this would be upsetting for anyone, I also work in a highly-visible career, and since January, have been able to work hard, smile big, no more hiding, maneuvering. When I was recently had to change insurance, my number one priority for dental was only a carrier where Dr. Kargordorian was in network. I will never see anyone else, and recommend him to any/all for all needs, basic maintenance to the more complicated problems. You can trust him completely, he is also funny! And the staff is friendly and helpful.

Dr. Kargodorian and his staff are wonderful. The first time I came in they helped me with a dental emergency and I was taken care of immediately. I have returned to him needing a lot of dental work and he has helped me get a good package deal for the amount of work I’m getting done. The work he does is beyond professional and I cannot wait to see the outcome as I haven’t even finished yet. Let’s just say even my temporary crowns look picture perfect! I recommend him for any procedure you need, you will be in good hands. I’ve read the review this person wrote about the Dr. being a no-show…obviously she is new to the Los Angeles area, let alone “HOLLYWOOD!” This must have been one of the days that Hollywood blvd was closed down for a red carpet event and not even God could have gotten to the office in time. Anyone who has spent any time waiting in any Dr.’s office or hospital would understand there can be delays and the “delays” i have experienced have been minimal at most! Thank you Dr. Vick!

I personally love this dentist!! The staff is very friendly and Dr. Kargodorian is a total perfectionist which is obviously a great thing when applied to your teeth. I came in with a chipped front tooth that had been that way for four years!! It was cracked up the back and had a huge chunk out of the front, he fixed it with in minutes of seeing it and now my smile is whole again; he took the time to make sure the fixed tooth matched up with the other tooth and that I was happy with the results before I left his office. I could not be any happier with my results and have recommended him to all of my family and friends. If you live in L.A. and are going to any other dentist you are missing out!

I cannot agree more with others that Dr Kargodorian is the best dentist in town. He is very thorough and skillful. It is amazing how I truly feel time fly by so quickly when I am under the care of Dr Kargodorian. Usually it felts like years when I visited other dentist office where the dentists would makes me wait when he/she bouce between patients, or simply requires me to kept my mouth open until my mouth are sore and numb while drowning in my own saliva. Through experience and skill, Dr Kargodorian does everything so well and efficiently, and are able to reduce the discomfort during a dental operation to the very minimum. Heres the deal. I am TERRIFIED of the Dentist. When I was a kid it was not an issue because my folks took me to a Great Dentist and that Dentist never introduced me to Dental Pain. Fast Forward 20 years and Im in some Discount Dental office on Vermont looking at Dental equipment that literally had TAPE holding it together and Im suppose to get my First Root Canal! I try not to think of this story because it was so Awful but I will say I felt EVERYTHING and it was a nightmare that scarred me and from then on, Gone were the days of my 6 month cleanings. I had been Lucky and other then missing cleanings, didnt have any Dental needs. Then, 4 months ago my Molar tooth literally Cracked in Half! At first it wasnt so bad. Food got stuck in it everytime I ate but I would just brush it out. My Best friend told me to go to the Dentist and I told him “NEVER!”. But after 4 months it began to hurt…a lot. My Boss said “I have the perfect Dentist for you”. I said “NO WAY!” but he told me to listen. He went on to tell me about growing up in Communist Czechoslovakia and how they use to go his Dental work without any Novocaine and told me he had a Dentist Phobia ever since. He explained that he found his way to Dr. Kargodorian and from then on, his fear was gone. Though Reluctant, I agreed to at least call. From the very first call I told the Receptionist that I was TERRIFIED of the Dentist and that I was only calling because my boss made me. She assured me that Dr. Kargodorian was superb and that I really should give him a chance. I made the appointment and went. I knew I would have to Man Up for a Crown as long as I didnt need any Root Canals! The Receptionist was Joanna and she said “Oh yes. I see you dont like the Dentist at ALL” which actually made me feel a tiny bit better. She smiled and said “You have nothing to worry about. I promise”. Sweet but I was still TERRIFIED! Once in a Dental Chair I was greeted by a Beautiful Dental assistant named Julia. She was so calm and told me “You really dont have anything at all to be worried about. He is the very BEST”. She took some X rays of this Gapping Hole in my tooth and it was cool because I got to see the X ray on a big TV right in front of me. Soon the Doctor came in and he was really friendly and right away told me that he knew I was afraid of the Dentist and that he promised tht I wouldnt feel any pain. He examined my tooth and found that I needed not 1 but 2 root canals and 2 crowns! He showed me in the X ray where the tooth right next to the broken one was decaying inside and it needed to be saved. I wont say how much it cost BUT I will say that he cut me an EXCELLENT deal since I was coming out of pocket. Then he gave me some Gas to breath and from there nothing really mattered anymore! He could have said “Now Im gonna pull out your Front teeth!” and I wouldnt have cared less! He talked to me through the entire procedure and I honestly felt NOTHING!!!! As in NOTHING!!!! 2 more appointments later and my teeth are like new and I never felt so much as a pinch! If youre like I was and are afraid of the Dentist, TRUST ME, this is the man to see! THANK YOU Dr. Kargodorian & staff! See you in 6 months!

Dr Vick Kargodorian is an absolute perfectionist and does amazing work. I had an old crown on my front tooth with the gum that needed some perfecting. To make it perfect we did a veneer on the tooth next to it. the results were more than i could have wished for. I am so thrilled I have chosen him to do the work that was long overdue. I’ve been going to Dr. Vick for about a year now. It’s been mostly basic stuff: cleaning and the occasional cavity. The work was top notch and I have no complaints. Recently, I had a wisdom tooth extracted. This was a difficult procedure due to how the tooth had grown in, but Dr. Vick managed to remove it cleanly and much quicker than I expected. Any trip to the dentist can easily turn into an unpleasant experience given the right circumstances, but I would have to say the Dr. Vick and staff do everything within reason to minimize this chance. Overall, I would say that he is a very competent, friendly dentist. His staff is easy going and pleasant. I have recommended Dr. Vick to co-workers, friends, and family based on the friendly environment and the quality of his work.

I want to start by saying that every level of this office is professional. From the welcoming staff who make sure you have all your information and questions answered, to the overall experience with Dr. Vick, it was an enjoyable visit. Unfortunately, I’ve had bad dental care in the past and Dr. Vick was the first dentist to break down my dental care step by step to let me know where my pain was coming from and how to prevent it in the future. I love Dr. Vick. I was going to a dentist who was not very good and little by little I was losing teeth as well as wearing some cumbersome bridges. My family doctor recommended Dr.Vick and going to him was one of the best decisions I made. I had lost so many teeth, I was chewing like a rabbit. On my upper jaw I had to get a bone graft as I had lost some bone, then I had implants put in on my upper and lower jaw as well as most of my remaining teeth capped. expensive (of course) worth it ( worth every penny). Not only that, Dr Vick is more than a dentist he is an artiste. My teeth are wonderful, they fit my mouth and the bite is superb. A friend of mine went to a cheaper dentist and the implants they put in were too big for her mouth and the bite was way off. I have never had any trouble with my implants. I have also never had any problems with the staff at Dr. Vicks, they are very kind and thoughtful. I’m sort of a pain wimp and they go out of their way to make sure I am comfortable. I would recommend Dr. Vick to anyone. He is a first rate dentist who made it possible for me to enjoy my food and to smile again.

2016 makes 18 years that I’ve been a client of Vick Kargodorian’s. & if you’ve read my first review on him & his staff you already know I am indeed a fan. The reason for the update is because over the last year & half I spent more $ on my teeth than probably the last 20 years combined. I’ve had at least 15 sessions if not more since my first & last review. 4 root canals , a cracked tooth , 6 crowns , 6 amalgam fillings finally removed , a couple cavities & then the cleaning. Oh I know – I did it allllllllll to myself by eating waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many sweets & yeah I paid for it obviously in more ways than one. But, as I sat in the chair those many times I noticed I’d usually come around to the thought of just how grateful I was to have such complete trust in my dentist. The 18 years kind of trust!! I’ll just say that the guy is an absolute master at delivering Novocain injections – never even feel em – he hums ( in key ) calming melodies as he scrapes, chips & drills away. (ha!) True story! He has always been fair to me with pricing / payments & the ENTIRE staff in my experiences is worth appreciation & mention as well. I can say with Authenticity & Integrity that for the last 18 years Vick Kargodorian & his staff have taken care of my dental needs completely & have always treated me in a way that makes me appreciate my decision to call Dr. Vick ” My Dentist “!

Dr. Vick is absolutely amazing. I have anxiety issues and one my triggers is dental work. I avoided a root canal for 5 months because other dentists just didn’t understand my fear and were pretty rough with me. My husband convinced me to try again and I am blessed to have ended up in Dr. Kargodorian’s office. Not only did he take his time and explain everything before and as it happened, he went out of his way to help me feel comfortable. You can’t even tell which tooth has the porcelain crown because it just looks like any other tooth. While I still have some anxiety, it is much reduced and my last visit I didn’t take any anxiety medication. I still don’t like going to the dentist but I no longer fear it and I will never go anywhere else

Dr Kargodorian is the best dentist in town and an absolute miracle worker!! I had a “freak” running accident on a Saturday morning. I was running, tripped on a uneven curb, tried to block my face but my mouth hit the payment. It was a hard fall. I busted my upper lip and my front tooth was pushed back. My lip was so swollen, I couldn’t close my mouth. It was painful and quite stressful since I had a very important event in three days. Keep in mind, this occurred on a Saturday when dentist offices are closed and it was Dr. Kargodorian’s day off. I called Dr Kargodorian’s cell and left a message, within minutes he called back. I was panicking but Dr. Kargodorian reassured me that he would take care of me. He kept his promise and drove from the Valley on his day off to meet me at his office. Within minutes, he repositioned my tooth. My tooth was straighten and looked back to normal. Dr Kargodorian was so compassionate and made sure I would be ready for my big event. He prescribed some medication and I saw him two days later for root canal. I heard that root canals were painful but not the one that Dr Kargodorian performed. I didn’t not feel a thing! He promised and he was right! I was concerned that my mouth would be puffy the rest evenin but I attended my event with perfectly straighten teeth. I am so grateful for Dr. Kargodorian! I’ve never met a dentist so dedicated to his patients and I’m a patient for life! Thank you Dr. Kargodorian and staff, you are amazing!

I have been going to Dr. Vick for 4 years. It is funny if you read through these comments people are either all for Dr. Vick or against his practice. Most of the complaints are about tardiness. HOwver, this is not what makes a good dentist. When it comes to his expertise I haven’t met a better Dr. He truly changed the way my teeth look. After meeting Dr. Vick I would not go to anyone else. Also, he gave me a complimentary whitening tray and bleaching cream. It was amazing for him to do this for me. I have never met a dentist like him.

I have been going to Dr Kargodorian for over 10 years, he is truly a very caring and gifted dentist. His work is top notch, his prices are very reasonable and he works with his patients so that they are able to get the work done that they need even if they can’t really afford it all at once. I have recently had major dental work done, I am in the process of getting all my teeth crowned and/or veneered. They look amazing, people see my smile and their reaction is “WOW”, but it doesn’t look fake, it just looks very natural. In all the years that I’ve been going to him he has never raised his prices for me and often throws in extra work at little to no cost because i am a valued long term patient and he knows that i can’t really afford to spend a fortune. He also does his very best to save my teeth and save me money by not doing unnecessary work; i just had 2 crowns done, the teeth were very very close to needing root canals but he spent a lot of time on them to save them from needing them and saving me $2000, most dentists would not have bothered, they would have told me i needed the root canals. I know a lot of people complain about timeliness, he does often run behind, however, its because of the attention to detail that he provides, he never rushes his patients. Also, people come in for a basic appointment and realize that they need more work done than expected, this takes time and people need to understand that. I went in for a cleaning 5 months ago, it had been a couple of years, and i ended up needing my top front 6 teeth crowned to save them from having root canals down the road, i was there for over 4 hours, of course that delayed other people, things happen. Bottom line, he does outstanding work at very reasonable fees and never does unnecessary work and he really spends time and attention to detail with all his patients and you feel like he is a trusted old friend. I used to work in Hollywood but i now work from home and I still keep him as my dentist, he is we’ll work the drive, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my dental health!!! That kind of service at a fair price is becoming so rare these days, thank you Dr Vick!

Dr Vick is the best. I have been coming to him for years. I love everything he does. He keeps my teeth clean and white. Also, his staff is very friendly and all work to make sure all my needs are filled. I don’t know why anyone would give Dr. Vick a bad review. He will always do anything to make sure you are happy. But then again this is LA and some people just like to cause drama for no reason. Check Dr. VIck out!!! He’s the best. The best thing is is he is a surgeon so if you need anything from a teeth cleaning to a route canal he is the man!

I love this office! All of the ladies who work on staff are nice and really take time to address any concerns or answer any questions beforehand. Dr. Kargodarian has a super gentle hand and had a great understanding of my auto-immune related sensitivity issues. This is the first time that I haven’t had any swelling, infection or complications status post the dreaded drill, and my mouth looks absolutely fantastic! I feel like having my full smile back can only be described as life changing, because our smiles really are our calling cards, our first impressions and windows into our overall health. Whether you simply need a cleaning or a tooth filled or need more extensive work like a root canal or bridge, I would recommend this office to anyone in the Los Angeles area! In short, if you are looking for a great dentist with a great staff and wish to get lasting, beautiful work by someone who doesn’t believe in shortcuts, do it right the first time and go to Dr. K! 😀

If you are looking for a great dentist Dr Vick is the guy!!..I neglected my teeth for far too long and needed extensive dental work on my upper and lower arches. I thought I was going to have to have all of my remaining teeth removed and get dentures. In fact I sought consultations from seven dentist prior to starting my procedure with Dr Vick. All I can say is that Dr Vick was the find of a lifetime!..I wish I had a pro like him for every aspect of my life….I’m serious!! Dr Vick has actually saved a bunch of my remaining teeth and has given me implants where I had teeth extracted when I was younger. I really couldn’t be happier. Oh…and even through all this surgery and work I had zero pain!? I’m nearing the end of my process with Dr Vick but wanted to share my experience with those who may be facing the same challenge as I had before I met Dr Vick… Dr Vick and his staff have hit the mark and way beyond!!…do your homework, but make sure you see Dr. Vick, you won’t be sorry! I’d give “Dr. Vick” five stars for his artistry, skill and professionalism alone, but those attributes wouldn’t necessarily drive me to Yelp to leave a review. At my relatively advanced age and with all the moving I’ve done, I’ve been to my fair share of dentists over the years, most of whom have been commendable and recommendable, but what truly sets Dr. Vick apart relates to what happened recently. Following a terrible, debilitating motorcycle accident, I’ve had a difficult time finding regular work and when an eye-tooth veneer recently broke, I was desperate to replace it. I mean, who wants to go to a job interview with a broken tooth staring back at the interviewer? With nowhere near enough money to afford a replacement, my former dentist (I moved again) Dr. Vick, swooped in to the rescue and offered his services for free — only charging me a minimal materials fee. I will be forever grateful for his generosity, something I’ve never really experienced before. And it doesn’t hurt that the man is also an artist in dental reconstruction with a staff that is always very friendly and just as professional their employer.
