I just have to say that going to the dentist and experiencing such extraordinary patient care and comfort has been taken to a new level thanks to the office of Dr. Victoria Tobar and in particular Lina in her office. I was in there yesterday for a Zoom treatment and was treated with the utmost of respect, patience and conscientious attention unlike that experienced before at any other dental practice. The office is spotless, the stuff is ebullient and kind, and their patient care is unsurpassed. I highly recommend Dr. Tobar for any and all dental attention one needs.

I had been going to an independent dental hygienist, for many years, and then sadly for me, she retired her independent practice.  It was time to find someone new to help keep my teeth clean, and wasn’t sure what I was going do.  I believe I originally found Dr. Tobar, through a coupon, and used it as she was fairly close. Well sometimes things work out and I feel like I really lucked out.  As others have noted Dr. Tobar and her staff are really attentive to their patients.  She is very thorough, explains options, and has a very personal and supportive approach.  The team there is great, and I always go away feeling good. I would highly recommend Dr. Tobar and her team, I plan to be seeing her for some time to come.

My appointment was on 10/18/11 (a little less than two months ago), I wrote this review a little earlier but didn’t have time to complete it until now. This is my 5th/6th review on yelp, and it’s my first 5-star review. So I checked various sources and I discovered that the service sector in the US accounts for about 80% of GDP. The US is largely a service-based sector. I’m mentioning this because every time I conduct a transaction with a business here in this country, I generally get shitty customer service from the businesses I do deals with. Either the results are disappointing or the attitude/demeanor of the employee/employer offering the service is unpleasant. Living Social featured Victoria’s dental practice and there were two deals that were offered. The first was a zoom teeth-whitening treatment for $175 and the second was a dental exam, full-mouth x-rays, and cleaning for $90. I opted for the second option (dental exam, full-mouth x-rays, and cleaning) because I had already purchased a zoom teeth-whitening treatment from a different dental practice months before that I wanted to take advantage of later that month. So I wanted my teeth cleaned. I walked in the office and they knew I had a Living Social voucher from when I told them over the phone when I made the appointment. I then filled out the required forms that new patients always have to fill out. There were a few women around the front desk and I didn’t know who was who or who was going to check my teeth out, and then Victoria introduced herself and I was eventually seated soon after. In order for me to give this place 5 stars, I would’ve had to have each procedure (dental exam, full-mouth x-rays, and cleaning) not just completed, but completed very well. The dental exam was performed throughout my one hour stay from the time my teeth were checked out. X-rays of my teeth were taken for record keeping and also to evaluate the condition of my set and to see if there were any cavities. And lastly, she along with a dental assistant, helped clean my teeth. Victoria got me in and out in an hour which was convenient for me because I had another appointment for something else at noon. During my one hour stay there she was very patient and attentive not only with my dental needs but with my questions. Her and I talked a lot about my teeth from what toothbrush, toothpaste, and mouthwash I was using to advice she’d give me about which toothpaste I ought to be using. And one of the things that impressed me with her was when she asked me if I was using any teeth whitening toothpaste because she observed that the enamel of my teeth was alarmingly receding. I told her that I was and then she advised me to stay away from those kinds of toothpaste. I want to also add, for the people using vouchers on any of these social websites whether it be Living Social or Groupon or Bloomspot or whatever, you can tell whether the business you’re dealing with is deserving of a 5-star rating based on a number of characteristics: -Were they snotty or unhappy when they took your voucher? -Did they give you (the customer) any less than excellent service while they sat you down and performed the tasks?-Did they either upsell their services, surprised you by charging you covert fees for work done, or put you on-the-spot and force you to cough up more money for things you didn’t feel you needed or wanted? -Etc. Thankfully this practice did none of that. The price for a cleaning over there is $99 and I’m hopefully planning to go back sometime in the spring to get another cleaning. Positives: -Speedy stay (no more than an hour) -Attentive, responsive AND patient staff (to service AND questions)-Fairly modern equipment -Gentle and welcoming staff (I know “gentle and welcoming staff” sounds redundant, but if they were unpleasant in any way, I would’ve indicated it here) -(And for the guys) Beautiful Latinas (I can feel the anger and rage from the female readers now Negatives: (Nothing that really stood out in this visit)

Dr Tobar is the best dentist I’ve ever had! I even fell asleep in a dental chair during the procedure once, because she does her work very careful and painless. She and her wonderful staff take care of everything. They are very proactive – they contact my insurance in advance to sort out  all possible “extra charges”. I never felt that she is trying to perform any unnecessary procedure just to make an extra buck (and I felt this way before at some other dental offices).  You will never be disappointed if you choose Dr. Tobar.

Dr. Tobar is as sweet as can be. I’ve gone to her for both a routine cleaning and to get cavities filled. Her and her wonderful staff made me feel very at ease and comfortable. The work she did was great and completely painless. I had to pay a small amount out of pocket for whatever my insurance would not cover, which is to be expected. A couple weeks later I received a note from Dr. Tobar’s office saying that the insurance covered more than they had expected and enclosed was a check for the difference. This practice is all about honesty and I couldn’t appreciate that more. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Hadn’t been to a dentist in about 10 years. Dr Tobar was excellent. She personally did my cleaning and exam and didn’t exploit the fact that I hadn’t been to the dentist in so long. No cavities, no fillings, no nothing. She was very gentle and even manage to get off some cement that was left over from when I had braces 16 years ago which no other dentist had managed before. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. She’s a really great dentist.

This was an overdue cleaning appointment. First time with Victoria and I can’t be happier. I didn’t take care of my teeth health for a while and it was noticeable, but doctor was really understanding. She explained everything carefully, without judgement – I’ve sadly experienced this before with previous doctors – and gave me lot of advice on how to prevent further damage. Cleaning was gentle but effective. Assistant and receptionist were also exceptional. And the clinic was extremely clean. The measures due to COVID-19 were strict and the whole session felt very safe. Definitely staying with Dr. Victoria and her team for all my Dental needs from now on.

Dr. Tobar is the best dentist! I have been seeing her for my regular 6 month check-up & cleanings for over 2 years. I look forward to coming in because my teeth and gums always feel great after. She is both thorough & gentle and always answers my questions & concerns. She recently did a composite filling for me and it was the most painless dental procedure I have ever had. I recommend Dr. Tobar to everyone who ne a great dentist!

This was my second visit to Doctor Tobar’s Dental facility and as my first visit totally satisfied of her professional services, her gentleness and way of making you feel relax throughout the whole procedure, same goes to her assistant Vanessa.I highly recommend Doctor Tobar to anyone who is looking for professional and a new experience in the dental field.
