Dr Christian and her staff are the Most patient, kind, caring & professional dental group I have ever used. Everyone here is absolutely the BEST. My mouth was Truly a mess. I had been turned away by dentists because the job to repair my mouth was too hard to fix. I had implants, bridges & more that were all screwed up and falling apart. Dr Christian figured a few different options to fix my teeth and after we discussed them. I followed 1 of her options & She fixed my mouth Perfectly. Thank you ALL for taking such Excellent care of me!!!

I have always HATE going to the dentist but not anymore. Village dental is AMAZING. all the staff are so welcoming and friendly, they made me feel at ease. Dr. Christian was amazing and was really gentle with me. Y’all i just had a root canal and had no pain from start to finish. I am terrified of needles and did not even feel a prick of the needle. I can go on and on. Definitely a awesome experience with some amazing people.

I am very scared of dentists. This lead me to a long time without going. The more I waited the more embarrassed I was to go, until one of my teeth, which had been cracked started hurting a lot. I had to find someone in a hurry and ended up going to D. Christian. I really think that my cracked tooth was very close to needing a root canal. D. Christian did a fantastic job fixing it, without one (so relieved) and she and her staff made me so comfortable, I did not procrastinate and came back quickly to get other things that needed doing (cleaning, fix an old filling). Each time, I felt my dentist anxiety decreasing and now I go to the dentist happily. Dr. Christian, he associates and hygienist are all great and a pleasure to be around. The lady at the office/ front desk is beyond nice and patient and all the paper work/ insurance always goes without a glitch. I highly recommend them.

Staff members are caring, professional and highly competent, making your visit comfortable and pleasant. The physical space is attractive and well designed for patient comfort. Top of the line equipment is used and the staff members are knowledgeable on the latest trends and improvements in dentistry. It’s also clear to me from conversations that the employees like working there. That’s a plus in my opinion. Now that the practice has reopened, Dr. Dawn Christian and the staff have implemented safety precautions that indicate the level of concern and care they hold for the patients. I’ve been a patient for many years and have had numerous procedures completed without any problems or issues.

From making the appointment to the cleaning and exam, it was a very pleasant and relaxing experience. The Receptionist worked out my insurance and made an appointment quickly. The Hygienist also had a great manner and did a thorough and painless cleaning. I went in for what I thought was a cavity and the Dr. actually informed me it was not one and had a solution for what the issue was. It was a great experience from start to finish. Can’t wait to go back in 6 months!

My dental appointment on June 24, 2020 was with a very short wait time. I was pleased to see that there are effective procedures in place to assure a healthy experience when visiting the office. Everyone used masks and gloves and there was ample hand sanitizer in place. My experience was pleasant due to the professionalism exhibited by Ghislaine and of course, Dr. Christian. The overall visit was safe and satisfying and for a dental visit, almost fun.

I absolutely hated going to the Dentist, until my friend referred me to this office. The Staff is what make the place amazing. From the front office staff, especially Wendy, who greets you like she knew you forever to the dentist hygienist that makes you comfortable, the experience is awesome. I had the opportunity to experience Dr. Christian and Dr. Zhu, THEY BOTH ARE AMAZING!…Dr. Zhu even put Vaseline on my lips before starting, I really appreciated that. The entire experience is personable, like they been awaiting your arrival. I would recommend them to any and everyone.

First let me say that I’m a big big baby when it comes to dental work, usually I go to a dentist and they never see me again because of the pain Ive been in, I saw dr Christian today at village dental group(south orange) it was the most comfortable visit I EVER experienced, No PAIN, NO DISCOMFORT so guess what? The best thing about her is that she remembers her patients. I have been a patient here for about 7 years now and have consistently had an excellent experience. I have never experienced another medical office with such friendly, caring staff as well as excellent services. They are smart in using technology such as email and text to keep patients informed, send appointment information, and confirm appointments. They are doing a fantastic job with COVID precautions (they were excellent with cleanliness and PPE before this started anyway) and I had a great experience with my cleaning and dental exam today. A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. Christian graduated from Howard University College of Dentistry in 1984. She worked with Dr. James Lassiter in Summit and Dr. Neville Thame in Montclair New Jersey, before leaving to serve as Director of Dentistry at United Hospital. Upon hearing that the hospital was going to close, she began a part-time Dental practice, and went full-time in 1997. She opened her own office in 1998, which has expanded and grown to its present location. She also pursued post-graduate work at New York University Dental School in Full Mouth Rehabilitation. She is a member of several Dental Associations, including the prestigious study club, Journey to Excellence. She is experienced in many phases of Dentistry and works with a respected group of specialists. This is a General Dental practice. The youngest patient is 3 and the oldest is 95 years young. Dr. Christian is married and has 2 daughters.
