I had been going to Aspen Dental because of the convenience of multiple locations, it was my second or third time going for a cleaning and they told me that I needed to have my wisdom teeth removed as one of the wisdom teeth was impacting one of my back molars. They said that once the wisdom teeth were removed, they would need to perform a root canal on the molar that’s being impacted. All in all this was going to cost thousands of dollars and they kept talking about how at my last appointment they had told me to get my wisdom teeth removed and now its my fault that I waited too long. It just seemed like they were more interested in taking my money then they were about my teeth, the fact that they said they’d need to perform a root canal on a tooth they couldn’t even fully see yet because of the wisdom tooth being there seemed a little crazy, like they were jumping the gun. I was really overwhelmed and wanted a second opinion so I reached out to the dentist I went to as a child back in Maine to see if he had any recommendations for local dentists. He suggested Dr. Walker and said that another one of this former patients from my area who use to see him had moved to Boston and was going to Dr. Walker and really liked him. So I took the advice and went to Dr. Walker, he ended up telling me that I do need to get my wisdom teeth removed, but definitely agreed that it was way too early to tell if he’d need to perform a root canal on the one tooth being impacted, and that he would wait until the wisdom teeth were removed to fully examine the impacted molar to make a decision. I got the wisdom teeth removed and then last month went back to Dr. Walker to have him observe the impacted molar, and he ended up saying that the tooth is fine since I have no pain and we don’t need to do anything with it except give it an annual x-ray once a year to monitor it. I was so happy, it was like a full circle moment, the reason I switched dentists was to get a second opinion on this from someone who is genuinely interested in your well being and not just taking money from you bank account. I would recommend Dr. Walker to anyone looking for a dentist in the area.

His assistant was terrific in that she took the x-ray quickly and professionally and had it evaluated before Dr. Walker came in and he verified everything. I hadn’t seen a dentist in 10+ years due to a phobia and (having had a root canal, crown & a filling put in) now I don’t mind it at all! Gina (admin) is extremely helpful. She is accommodating and informative and when Delta Dental screwed up , she had called me to tell me about it before I had even realized there was a problem….and then told me who to call at Delta to fix it! Top notch care from compitant professionals. First rate practice.

I’ve had very good experiences here. When I first moved to Cambridge, I went another dentist who took a bunch of x-rays and tried to tell me I needed a night guard and to have 5 cavities filled. I was skeptical, so I looked at reviews and asked around and decided to try Dr. Walker instead. Sure enough, the other dentist was trying to get as much money out of me as possible and most of what they said was untrue. Dr. Walker’s staff is great. They’re very good at scheduling and the hygienists I’ve had have been very friendly. I highly recommend them.

As always, a perfect dental experience: nice welcome from Gina, on-the-dot appearance of Erin, my hygienist, who patiently and knowledgeably answered all my questions about gum recession and gum pockets. Plus a helpful hint on minimizing the staining from tea and coffee when away from home: rinse with water after drinking. All the hygienists at Walker Dental are consummate professionals, who are knowledgeable and clearly interested in promoting dental care. And I really appreciate the check for tongue, mouth, and thyroid cancer: no other dentist’s office I have ever visited has provided this. Dr. Walker was thorough and helpful. I also appreciate the way my concerns are noted, never minimized, and the way my decisions are respected. Also, their tech support is great: after Erin scheduled my next appointment, a text appeared with a link that added the appointment to my Google calendar. No muss, no fuss.

Best service / Best care I highly recommend Dr. Walker. You pick the day and time for your procedure. Unlike other dentists that force you to take a day and time that they dictate. Never more than five minutes before you are in the chair. The hygienists do a more than thorough job. Dr. Walker and the staff display a knowledge of dentistry, its procurers, and your dental history unlike any other practice I have used. Dr. Walker uses the latest in equipment and techniques to make certain you are more that satisfied with your visit. The doctor and staff always go the extra distance to ensure your visit was pleasant, professional, and you feel your oral health is secure.

I personally love Dr.Walker and his employees. I have been going to Walker Dental for 12 years and it is amazing how this office feels so relaxing and stress free. You never see the crew in a hurry it is so nice to have a dentist that feels like he’s your father. I have kids that see him and everytime they are there they look for the hidden treasure chest which is a toybox, and they also can recieve a glove balloon. They have a t.v. in every office so it is easy to relax when they are working on you. They give you flavors of toothpaste to choose from and your teeth feel great after a trip to his office. I love his staff and he has a new receptionist which I adore! Katie is also one of my favorites! I highly recomend Walker Dental for anyone with a phobia of dentistry. Amazing job, Walker Dental.

All of the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming! Gina and the front desk was helpful in getting the appointment set up and making sure I had all the correct forms filled out before hand. Lauren did an excellent job with the exam and cleaning and talked the whole process out while she was doing it so I knew what was coming and what was going on! I have been going to Dr Walker for several years. As a 71 year old male, I have been to many dentists as I used to hate the experience. However Dr. Walker is the best dentist I have ever gone to. I have recently gone in to see Dr. Walker for a cleaning and I must say that the experience was great! Never have I felt more calm and relaxed at a dental appointment. I was greeted at the door by a very friendly and helpful secretary who made me feel right at home. I was unsure about my dental insurance and she was able to check right into my policy and assured me that my coverage was active & accurate. There was a small co-pay on the filling I had done but the cleaning was fully covered at 100%. The office was immaculate, the couch in the waiting area was so comfy I could have fallen asleep in front of the big flat screen tv they have hanging on the wall. The hygienist was just as nice and she took extra good care of me seeing as to how nervous I was. I would definately give her two thumbs up for the cleaning that she did. They were very thorough and professional. Dr. Walker came in at the end of the cleaning & did a thorough exam and he was also very nice. I needed to come back for a filling and was able to get an appointment pretty quickly. It was one of the easiest fillings I have ever had. Completely painless. I have every intention on referring all my my friends and co-workers to Dr. Walker. Two Thumbs Way Up!!

My mouth is a serious mess. Let’s start with that. I recently started working in Harvard Square and had been thinking I needed to get a new dentist, but it wasn’t until my temporary crown fell out for the 6th time that I decided to pick co-workers’ brains. Dr. Walker came highly recommended by several people. I was amazed at how easy it was to set up a same-day appointment, be greeted with such warmth, treated immediately to a comfy leather lounger/dentists chair, and have HGTV in my direct line of vision. Dr. Walker is very friendly, approachable, and, most importantly, knows what he’s doing, and is happy to explain everything. I had a VERY positive experience, and am looking forward to going back! (Isn’t that crazy??!)

Walker, Dentist Ranger. Kicking your teeth’s butt but making you smile along the way (sorry I couldn’t resist). I’m basically echoing what everyone else has said – but can’t say enough good things about Walker Dental (at least as many good things as you can say about a dentist visit!). Everyone is indeed super friendly and my teeth feel clean as a whistle afterward. Another thing I was happy about was the last time I went I was due for some new x-rays, and they had just gotten a new machine that gives off less radiation – big plus! Whether or not Dr. Walker is indeed Chuck Norris behind a mask, I guess we won’t know – but this place is highly recommended nonetheless!

I just moved to the area and needed to have a tooth out. I searched online for dentists in Cambridge and came across the Walker Dental site, looked at reviews and decided to give Dr. Walker a try. I was able to make an appointment for a few weeks later, which had never happened with any dentist before- usually I’ve had to wait at least a month or so. Dr. Walker’s office is very nice, clean and cozy. All of the staff I have met have been very friendly and professional. I had never had a tooth out before, but I’m fairly certain that the process with Dr. Walker had to have been as quick, easy and painless as it can get. He was really nice, reassuring and knowledgeable. I felt like I was aware of all options possible and that he genuinely wanted whatever would be best for my teeth and my wallet. I will definitely be keeping Dr. Walker as my regular dentist.

I’ve been going to this office for about two years now and I couldn’t be happier with the service here. All the hygenists that I’ve seen have been very thorough and provide great tips for better oral hygeine. They’re also just pushy enough to get you to do the things you should (ie flossing everyday) but not too pushy. They’re also great at laying out your options and what they think is best for you while still allowing you to make unpressured decisions about your care. Dr. Walker runs a great practice!

I had my first appointment as a new patient at Walker Dental recently. Walker Dental is the best dental practice I have ever visited. My appointment started right on time and my dentist was very friendly. The dental cleaning I got was so thorough that I felt my teeth were completely new after the procedure. I also went there for a second opinion after my previous dentist recommended I get some dental procedures done. I was not fully convinced that these procedures were necessary – I thought that my previous dentist was exaggerating the severity of my problem so that he could bill my insurance or me for more services. The professionals at Walker Dental reassured me that my teeth and mouth were fine and that there was no need to do these procedures that were previously recommended to me. This confirmed my suspicion that there are dental practices out there whose main mission is to make the maximum amount of money from their patients by exaggerating the need for different dental procedures. Walker Dental is not one of these places. I was extremely impressed by the level of integrity and professionalism with which I was treated and I highly recommend this place. If you want the best teeth cleaning and feel suspicious about the expensive procedures your current dentist wants you to do, you should switch to Walker Dental!

I’ve had some terrible experiences with dentists in the past, but Walker Dental offers a warm and relaxing environment, wonderful, engaging staff, and Dr. Walker himself is a knowledgeable, patient, and collaborative dentist. 6-month checkups are now something I look forward to! In addition, I’ve been seeing Dr. Walker for Invisalign treatment, and though there have been hiccups and issues with timing related to COVID, Dr. Walker has been responsive, patient, and accessible the entire time. He’s also sought my input related to cosmetic aspects of the treatment (i.e., tooth shaping) rather than doing things without asking me or pushing his own cosmetic values on me. I was a patient at Walker Dental for 2 1/2 years and had a great experience my entire time under Dr. Walker and Erin’s care. When I first started seeing Dr. Walker, I had concerns about one of my front teeth as it had lowered a bit post braces. Dr Walker did a great job with assessing the situation, taking x-rays and reviewing my history. I did see an endodontist per his recommendation and he confirmed what Dr. Walker suggested for course of treatment. Dr. Walker’s bedside manner was amazing too, listening carefully to my questions and any concerns, formulating a treatment plan we were both happy about. In addition, Erin is an amazing hygienist. Very thorough, careful and insanely funny.

Dr. Walker & staff (particulary his front desk assistant Danielle) are all so friendly! I’ve been seeing Dr. Walker for several years now & we have bi-yearly appointments. I feel as though he doesn’t try to do anything that isn’t absolutely necessary and is very informative if I have any questions. His dental assistants are also very professional. If you want to go to a all around great dentist go here. The ofice is extremely clean as well plus they send out personal e-mail reminders too, which is a nice touch!

I LOVE THIS DENTAL OFFICE! Like most people, I absolutely dread going to the dentist. Unlike most people (I hope), I had a super shady dentist drill for a cavity and destroy several of my teeth, only to be later told by another dentist that there was no cavity and that my dentist had drilled simply so she could bill my insurance. Apparently she did this to numerous people and my new dentist was correcting alot of her work. I loved my new dentist, but had to move to Boston for school… Cut to four years later, and my tooth hurts. I head to Walker Dental and have an amazing cleaning with one of the dental hygenists, who left my teeth squeaky clean and was totally non-judgemental though it was obvious that she could tell that I wasn’t flossing as often as I should be. But here’s the kicker- they took x-rays, determined that I had a cavity, and scheduled a day for me to come in for a filling. I went in, dreading an afternoon of uncomfortable shots and drilling, but was pleasantly surprised when Dr Walker showed me my x-rays, said he couldn’t be sure if what he was looking at was a cavity, took another set, and told me that he didn’t feel comfortable drilling just yet. He told me to keep an eye on it and come back in if I felt any discomfort or pain in my tooth. Seriously- he could have been super shady and just drilled, but was ethical and thoughtful enough to admit that it might not be a cavity, though it meant less business for him. My tooth has been fine ever since, and I totally trust Dr Walker to not be a shady horrorshow like the first dentist I mentioned in this review. I’ve recommended this office to several friends and they all love it there too 🙂
