Today I brought my elderly mother to Walnut Family Dental. It was her first time there and we chose it based on the prior yelp reviews.  I want to thank the team. They take the coronavirus seriously and it showed from the get go.  The front door was locked, temps taken, everyone properly masked, etc.  My mother signed a few documents, then was to immediately cleanse her hands.  My mother had her teeth cleaned, xrays and a visit with the dentist. She said they were all very good to her, which I really appreciate given her age and fragility. When they were done, I was called to bring the car to the door and they met me at the door.  Again, I am impressed and appreciate the service.

My review is long overdue!!! After just one time of coming here the front office already knew my by name was when I would walk in it had taken me by surprise. It was memorable cuz that never happens. Everyone I’ve encountered here is so nice and friendly and easy to have a chat with. I’ve had a couple different girls for my cleanings and I’ve actually had fun so it doesn’t feel like a chore haha. I can tell they really care and thanks to them…I can’t lie but I finally started flossing regularly. My main point here is that the staff makes a huge difference and the other plus is how nice my Invisalign results are. I’m so happy with everything I couldn’t say nicer things! The dentist in staff was very patient with my concerns and complaints throughout the process and I appreciate everything!

Thank you Dr Micheal Diep and staff for all you’ve done for me and my family. Going to the dentist is not always pleasant but since we’ve been coming to you I must say that your special care and attention make us feel at ease and most comfortable. No matter is its braces for the kids, invisalign for me and the wife, we feel the experience is unmatched. We appreciate you and your staff for your profound professionalism and personal touch.

I’m getting married in November and I wanted to make sure my teeth were PERFECT for the wedding. I had braces throughout middle school, but like many others, I failed to wear my retainers ):. This caused some teeth to move around, primarily on the bottom and I was definitely starting to notice. My fiance mentioned he wanted to get Invisalign because he started to notice crowding on his bottom too, since he was doing it, I thought we might as well get them together. I went in for a free Invisalign consultation, where they scanned my teeth and a few weeks later I met with one of the Doctors to see a rendering of how my teeth will be moving. So cool! I went forward with the process and about six months later, I’ve finished all my trays and am now on retainers :). Throughout the entire process, I was very impressed with how high-tech and clean Dr. Diep’s office is. Scheduling appointments was a breeze with the front-desk and I loved how I would get BOTH email and text reminders. In fact, I loved their office so much, I switched to PPO just so they could be my primary dentist. I am very pleased with how my teeth turned out after Invisalign and I’m glad I found a new dentist! In terms of the actual Invisalign treatment, I had a very enjoyable experience. Fortunately, my case was not as severe, which meant a shorter treatment period. I had no pain from my trays whatsoever, and now find myself brushing and flossing after EVERY meal out of habit because of Invisalign. I would definitely recommend his office for anyone looking to start Invisalign or a new dentist. TLDR; Loved my Invisalign results, great facility, love the staff!

I’ve been very pleased and impressed with Dr. Diep and his staff. Everyone is extremely nice and helpful. The office is always clean and chilly as a dental office should be. If you get cold, they offer you throws to cover yourself,  while you get your teeth worked on. They also have a little coffee station for us coffee lovers. Maybe one day they’ll start offering wine. Hint. Hint. My teenage kids enjoy going to their appointments as well. My oldest son just completed Invisalign treatment and his teeth look great. Dr. Diep really took care of the relapse he had from regular braces and not wearing his retainer. I would definitely recommend this office to my loved ones

Took pulling teeth – no pun intended – to get me to switch dentists. I find something reputable and i stick with them from my doctors to my mechanics to my gym. But this place is great and the doctors are as well. I wanted a place closer to home since I’ve been traveling to my LA doctor since moving more inland. Make sure you show up a little bit earlier if you’re going on a Saturday. Weekdays are usually pretty on time. Receptionists are polite and professional. The office is clean. Love the radio station they always have on. And the vibe is always good. I’ve been there 3 times so far.

This is my first visit at this Walnut Family Dental and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to come here. Your paperwork is to be filled out through their website prior to your visit and just signed upon arrival, making your wait time pretty short and easy. My hygienist Monica was awesome. Super thorough, patient, and accommodating. I am currently pregnant and she made sure I was comfortable at all times during my exam, cleaning, and x rays. The doctor was kind and broke down in detail what work I would need. Also, staff is clear regarding how much your dental work will cost and what the process will be like. I’m excited to return and start beautifying my smile and dental health. Not to mention their office space is so clean and state of the art

Would like to share my experience with implants .  It’s been over a year that my gums began to bleed.  After a referral to a periodontist , it was discovered that I had a broken tooth.   I can’t explain how I felt learning that I would have to have my tooth extracted .  The worst part, it was my front tooth.  My smile is everything to me and to make a decision between a bridge and an implant, clearly I was a mess.   I elected the implant.  Don’t be fooled by those advertisements of getting implants done in weeks.  Not so.  There are many variables when getting an implant.  I fortunately had a GREAT dentist, great staff and particularly his assistant Linda.  If you are thinking of improving your smile, or just need a good dentist you need to see Dr. Michael Diep.

I usually don’t bother to write a review but I was so impressed by my first office visit this week. The staffs were very professional and informative and helpful. They were very busy at this last week of the yr but was accommodating my request about transferring of my dental X-ray scan and as well as informing my remaining insurance balance and how it was used. The front desk staffs were very patient and professional and being helpful. Then I got initial check by Monica and she was very friendly and did detail checking on my teeth. The whole process of taking scan and x-ray was smooth and comfortable for me. Then she accommodated me to see general dentist and specialist for treatment purposes and they all prompted me if I have any questions and answered all my questions. I decided to have fillings on the same day because I don’t want to waste my insurance and Dr.Diep did procedure. I have dental office trauma in the past that dental work is always extremely scare for me. I was so nervous but from beginning, somehow Dr.Diep did local anesthesia on me without feeling any pain!!! Later I noticed he did use the syringe to injected into my gum but I didn’t feel any pain. What a skill right?! So the rest of the procedure was easy and painless. First time in MY LIFE, I experienced dental office could not be horror and nightmare to me, and I thought about I CAN DO THIS AGAIN! This is extremely life turning experience to me. Dr. Diep and his staff truly deserve respect and admire for the works they do!

I have a major, major phobia of dentists… and generally anything to do with teeth in general.  In short, I had really bad experiences as a child (lots of cavities with drilling without numbing from a really, really bad dentist which lasted for about 5 years).  As a result, I avoided the dentist like the plague once I grew up, and I only returned when it was absolutely imperative that I did (my tooth chipped and broke).  I scoured the internet for a gentle, patient dentist, because boy would I need one. When I came to the Walnut Family Dental three years ago, the x-ray showed I had about 18 cavities.  On top of that, I would need a root canal to fix my broken tooth. I literally cried sitting in the chair, I was terribly terrified.  18 fillings and 2 root canals (and three years) later, I am happy to report that I am still going to these wonderful people for my regular cleaning and check ups.  Coming from someone who wouldn’t even let a dentist LOOK at my teeth, that is saying a LOT. A lot of why I continue coming here is that they make sure you are as comfortable during your procedure as you possibly can be.  Even my 2 root canals were easy peasy, and I have heard absolute horror stories about those from my peers.  If anyone needs a great dentist but is paralyzed with fear at the thought, I would definitely recommend this team.  They are friendly, patient, and most importantly understanding.  I’m planning to move to Costa Mesa soon, but you can bet that I will make the drive to come here every 6 months for my cleaning, I refuse to go anywhere else.  They are just that freaking good. Edit: I also forgot to add that the staff is very helpful in explaining costs.  When I was getting my cavities done they knew it would be quite pricey even with insurance (I had quite a few cavities, after all) so they prioritized everything so we could work on my “need to do ASAP” ones first and we could wait for the not-so-urgent ones for the next year after I’d reach my insurance cap.  It might not seem like a lot, but I never feel like I’m being ripped off, nor do I feel like they just see dollar signs when they communicate with me. Always a plus.

I’m glad I found Walnut Family Dental after trying a few other dentists.  The hygienists do a very thorough job with cleaning.  They and the staff are all friendly and do a good job.  There are several dentists, but we’ve basically seen only Dr. Diep.  He is knowledgeable and skilled with his hands.  I have the same impression of the other dentists there.  I think they are up to date with the technology, both for dentistry and running the office.  They have a smooth-running, efficient operation.  Can you believe the appointments have always been on time?  The appointment reminders are too much for me, but I guess that is how they get patients to do their part with running an efficient operation.

Can’t say enough about how wonderful Dr. Diep and his entire staff is. Been through a few dentist and finally found the right one for my family and I! We’ve been coming here for 3 years now. Don’t mind the hour long drive but hoping he’ll open an office around my area soon. Meanwhile I will continue coming here because he truly knows his stuff and is so kind and answers any questions that I may have. I couldn’t be happier with Dr. Diep and his staff.

I love Walnut Family Dental! I came in today to see Dr. Julia Xiong for my crown and I was in and out in no time. I just love her! I also really like how they take your time into consideration. They know how important it is to be quick and yet accurate and professional so that you won’t have to wait long or stay long for a procedure. It is also really easy to schedule/ cancel and re-schedule your appointments. Janet, Marlene, and the rest of the front office staff are always ready to assist you with a smile.

I have visited other dental offices, and finally I found one that are always accommodating, helpful, friendly and always makes me feel like family.  I got three kids and many times I have to get my dental work done with them with me.  They always make sure I get out as fast as possible.  Dr. Diep it’s amazing. I’m always comfortable and pain free.  Even during numbing process, I seldom feel it.  Monica did an awesome job deep cleaning my teeth.  And I love Ericka too.  She is super friendly and made sure my mouth guard is done well.   I’m so thankful I found a great dental office!

Hands down, best dentist I’ve ever had! The staff is super nice and welcoming. Dr. Michael and his crew are caring and gentle. I’ve had some dental issues in the past due to my phobia of dentists. He fixed me back up. Now, I see them every six months for cleaning and maintenance. I’m actually going back in a couple of weeks for the Zoom whitening treatment. Looking forward to that!

This was a first-time visit. Upon arriving I was greeted and serviced by a very friendly staff. A tour of the facility showcased state-of-the-art equipment and examination rooms. I was extremely impressed by the prompt service, excellent hygienist, (Monica). An extra benefit is that the office is so close to home. This was the most comfortable dental visit EVER! Additionally, I was very pleasantly surprised at the ease of scheduling an appointment.

You’ve got to go to Walnut Family Dental and find out for yourself that they are the best. My husband and I are long-time satisfied patients. The years of chewing great food and gritting my teeth to hold my tongue had either worn down, wore out, or cracked a few of my teeth. The face had sagged and dropped a bit as well (ok, so I’m not a “spring chicken”).  Teeth correction and excellent dental care works wonders. Well in my case, Dr. Diep and his staff worked miracles. Thanks to Walnut Valley Dental, when I smile, it brings vibrancy to my face and to my attitude. Visit Walnut Family Dental and KEEP SMILING.

Not going to lie, I hate going to the Dentist. But after 4 years of avoiding it, I have come to realize that adulting means taking care of your own health and your parents stop making appointments for you. First things first, the front desk women- AMAZING! Theyre super helpful and friendly. I recently fractured my arm so they were willing to help me with my paperworks and making sure I’m more than comfortable! They made sure I was covered through insurance before being seen and did not hide anything. As I waited and was brought back to the room, I noticed that everything(equipment) was up to date! Which was really surprising and eased my mind bc as a patient, I want the best technology to diagnose pain or current dental progression. Linda the dental assistant was such a sweetheart and was super friendly- it made conversations with her comfortable. Dr. Joyce- Super Hilarious!!! I enjoyed my time speaking with her and she was clear and concise with what my issues were(Wisdom teeth growing out). She’s very genuine and made me feel extremely excited to being a patient with their facility. I know I am going to love being here with how well everyone is! Thank you for making my first day back in 4 years a great one!!

Thank you Walnut Family Dental for checking on a patient the next day after having some “heavy duty” dental work done. Used to be a tough young lady and now I’m a “wimp” senior citizen, so that check up call really meant a lot. Yes, my gums are sore, but I know you did what you had to do and my Walnut Family Dental smile will be back good as new by the time you see me next. Thank you for the dental care and the emotional care follow up.

Best staff ever witness.  From entering, you are greeted by the most incredibly friendly staff who are willing to go above and beyond to meet your needs.  They are more than willing to help you out trying to sort out insurance payments, scheduling conflicts while with a smile. They are so gracious and beyond helpful.   The hygienist are also all very helpful, talented and ensure you have perfectly pearl white teeth once you are done with your cleaning.  They ensure you are comfortable with any sensitive teeth and explain what’s going to happen before it does.   The doctors again similar to the rest of the staff.  They are incredibly knowledge and are all about patient comfort, needs, and doing what’s best and required instead of trying to get more funds from insurance. There isn’t a doctor I wouldn’t recommend but I personally see Dr. Diep and my husband sees Dr. Julia. Honestly there is not one thing I could complain about regarding this office or staff. They are like my second home as they take such good care of their patients I continue to find a reason to come back…invisalgin, whitening you name it. I promise you if your new to the area you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve had the good fortune of having Dr. Diep as my dentist in Walnut, CA. He has taken care of my entire family. He’s done root canals, crowns, and fixed broken teeth…you name it, he did it. We trust his work and his advice completely. Everyone on his staff is A+. Once I’ve step in the door, I’m always greeted with a gentle smile from the office staff that eases my nerves. After my name gets called, and I’m sitting in the chair, everyone from the hygienist to Dr. Diep himself will answer any questions I have. Dr. Diep and his amazing staff have always provided me with best and most professional dental service. If your PRIME objective is receiving the best dental experience, look no further and call Dr. Diep and staff now.

There’s not enough AMAZING words to say about  walnut family dentistry they definitely keep up to the name of FAMILY…  The front desk ladies are to sweet that you get a cavity just talking with them. They are polite, accommodating, helpful and super caring.
I’ve been coming here for about a year now since I’ve moved to this new city . I was worried with switching my previous provider from Glendale to here because I truly loved my previous dental provider but I did not want to do that commute any longer.
I received my mouth guard , cleaning and routine check up. The most recent is today where I lost a filling to a tooth and they immediately accommodated me in to the schedule, the appointment was at 3pm. I happen to be an hour early and they allowed me to be seen earlier which helped out a lot. I also would like to mention how passionate Ericka and Dr Julia are. They were gentle, kinda and knowledgeable about everything that was going on in my mouth with out me having to tell them. Ericka remembered me from my first visit with getting my mouth guard and checking in on how it’s going. We also had are moments of us laughing and just truly feeling like family . I definitely will recommend to everyone I come in contact with 🙂 Thank you walnut family dentist you guys rock !!!!

First of I absolutely hate the dentist. I’ve always dreaded going and I’m not really sure why but I would always get anxiety lol. However since I’ve been going to Dr. Diep it’s definitely not as anxiety-inducing as before lol. He’s super friendly & caring but most of the credit goes to his technicians who do the teeth cleaning! They’re amazing and super patient and educating which I like. Dr. Diep is also great whenever I have cavities & what not to make sure I’m not in pain. My mom also goes to him and she has needed a lot of work done such as root canals & crowns and she loves the office too! Ps their office is gorgeous & spotless. Also helps that I live only 2 minutes away! I would recommend him to anyone! And he has Saturday hours! But they booked up really fast

Probably the most thorough dental examination I’ve ever experienced. And they were even able to fit me in the same day when I was just calling for a cleaning. All their equipment is state of the art and insurance coverage doesn’t seem to be an issue at all. Their digital image analysis of my teeth and bite showed me more than I’ve seen from other dentists. Definitely made me think there could be some preventative things I can be doing now to take care of my teeth over the long term. Some things they said had me wondering how much they were trying to “upsell” me on other procedures so i’m still considering that. They weren’t pushy though, just giving information and recommendations. The gum line analysis that many other reviews of dentists in the area complain about as being overly forceful to convince you to get a deep cleaning was gentle and reasonable. No deep cleaning needed or recommended (just try to floss more to reduce inflammation). Makes me think their observations are largely legitimate. I’d recommend people give them a try and see what they have to say for you.

I managed to avoid seeing any dentist for over 10 years due to a bad experience but it finally caught up with me. I woke up with a  terrible toothache and needed to find a good dentist. Dr. Diep truly deserves all the 5 star reviews. The practice is located in a shopping center so there’s plenty of parking. I was greeted by Annie and Angie (she helped me get in much sooner than I expected) when I entered. There’s some paperwork to fill out but that’s available online to be done ahead of time. Marina then got me from the waiting room and the visit began. They did my x-rays and found a huge cavity in my molar. I expected as much and then the news came… I needed a root canal. Forget what you’ve heard or read. My experience was 99.9% painless and it made everything so much better! People say the numbing shot is the most painful part, and they’d be right, but the shot didn’t even hurt. What was nice was that he talked me though the procedure to let me know what he was doing and seeing. All in all, I found a new dentist that I’m not going to avoid for a decade. In fact I am so impressed that I’m actually gonna do the cleaning visits every 6 months!

I can’t say enough good things about this dental office.  The entire staff is absolutely professional, personable, competent and thorough.  My family consistent of six people ranging in ages nine years to seventy three years old.  Annie, Angie, Marlene, Linda and the other staff members go out of their way to take great care of our dental needs and ALWAYS enquire about other family members that are absent during a dental visit.  When I first sought care from Dr. Diep, most of my filings had to be fixed.  The team is great at reminding patients about upcoming appointments via text messages, emails, and phone calls.  I was flabbergasted when they offered me a blanket during my tooth cleaning because the hygienist noticed that I was cold!  The staff’s ability to notice personal needs, care about the satisfaction of their customers, maintain a very hygienic dental office and utilization of current technological equipment makes this dental office a first class business in dentistry.  Thank you Dr. Diep and team for being an exemplary dental office.

I know I am in good hands. My three year old son just received his first cleaning, and he did amazing! I haven’t been to the dentist in a really long time for a teeth cleaning, though I just had an X-Ray last year.  So I came here after reading reviews on Yelp and they certainly lived up to their name!   The Hygenist, Mary Joy was so incredibly thorough and gentle!  Even though I brush every day, I still had buildup between my teeth and it was visible, and I left the office with it COMPLETELY gone! I haven’t seen my teeth that clean in so long.  She was really nice, and did a great job. Dr. Diep was great too, he actually introduced himself by his first name as Michael, and I thought it really showed how he wanted to be a personable dentis.  I appreciated that their staff was not at all trying to “sell” me anything and that he just made recommendations on what I needed to have done.  He clearly went over my expected costs for the services he recommended, and he gave me a really great breakdown so that I would know what to expect BEFORE I went in.  This is really important to me because I’ve heard horror stories where dentists try and push tons of services on you and don’t even tell you what they are doing and hand you a huge bill.  Not the case here at all!  He is an honest dentist! I will be going back to get my cavity taken care of (first one since I was 7!!) and probably to have my wisdom teeth removed.  I’ll update when I have those services done.   I was bragging about my dentist experience all weekend long, and certainly recommend him. UPDATE: I’ve been to this office for almost everything since my first visit–wisdom tooth removal and cavities, and will return for my deep cleaning.  So he’s taken out ALL FOUR wisdom teeth for me (in 2 diff settings) and he was pretty gentle for someone yanking your teeth out.  He’s super nice and chatty so he made me feel really comfortable before and during (I was literally laughing on my way out to the door).  He actually even called me to ask me how I was feeling after the first removal!  And ok, this might not seem like that big a deal but it is–he didn’t block his # from caller ID.  He’s not like those typical high strung docs who don’t wanna be bothered after work hours, he cares enough to let his patients contact him! Pretty cool! I also got my cavities filled here (first since I was maybe 6 or 7!) and I literally did not know what to expect.  I knew there’d be some needles and some shots, but I swear, I did NOT feel him giving me the shot that much! He did my fillings real fast and he doesn’t use ugly silver fillings so no one can tell.  So ya, pretty much I’m a huge fan of his and tell EVERYONE I know about him.  I hear such horrible stories about other dentists so seriously, do yourself a favor and come see him. Also, his staff is SUPER friendly!!!  They’re all so friendly and chatty.  Angie and Annie are my fave!  Oh and I have never had to wait to see him! I only had to wait like 2 mins once but that’s hardly a wait.  Who can say that about ANY doctor visit?!
