Joining the chorus to praise Washington DC Dentistry, Dr. Kham, and the delightful staff. I endorse the reviews below and will only add a rough metaphor to describe my enthusiasm for a dentist. I think of my prior dentist offices as fast food joints – I’m processed as a quick customer, only investing enough energy to avoid the unseemly or objectionable. Service is haphazard, staff is indifferent, every consideration is priced as an upsell. I’m there for the transaction and eager to leave. Dr. Kham’s office, then, is your favorite friendly corner cafe – warm, thoughtful, personable. Your server has great recommendations, the owner remembers your kid’s name, refills are always free. The type of place you bring visiting friends. The type of place you bother writing glowing Yelp reviews for!!!

Dr. Kham’s practice is the best I’ve ever been to. Dr. Kham is thorough and knowledgeable, sometimes conducting the cleanings himself. He is also transparent, giving my multiple treatment options at different price points. The other staff — the administrators and hygienists — are super friendly and professional. The office is clean and modern. I could not recommend this office more strongly!

I have the worst dental fear on the planet, I used to cry every time I had to go even for a cleaning. I have been seeing Dr. Kham for years now and while I still do not like going to the dentist, my fear is mild anxiety now instead of full blown terror. Dr. Kham is truly a kind, compassionate person that I trust with my teeth, he doesn’t try to push services you don’t need and is always so nice. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Kham, especially after a recent tooth extraction. The procedure was literally over before I knew it and I woke up the next morning without any pain – I was shocked. His explanations are always great – he walks you through everything he does. My husband and I are huge fans (like other reviewers, we followed him from his old practice because we couldn’t imagine going to any other dentist). I’ve always appreciated Dr. Kham’s flexibility – there is never a wait (he’s taken me in early when I ran early) and if he has the availability, he’ll do a filling right then to save you an extra trip. His staff is great too 🙂

The Office is very clean and Nice . The staff is very professional,friendly and pleasant. Ms. Linzie and Dr.Kham is very Patient and understanding of his patients financial situations and will help you by giving you a payment plan. I am so glad to have him as my dentist and I highly recommend him to everyone I meet that needs an Awesome dentist‼️

First off, I’m terrified of doctors. I walked in scared to death, but left with no stress and a big (clean) smile. Dr. Kham saw me and I had a great appointment and when I returned the next week I was very enthusiastic about it. It was comfortable, the team was so friendly and personable, and Dr Kham was extremely genuine, caring, and careful with me. I’d 100% recommend, especially if you’re looking for a top-notch office, and doctor.

Dr. Kham and the staff are excellent, extremely professional and very nice! I usually hate going to the dentist, but everyone at the office does a fantastic job at clearly explaining what’s going on and are always making sure that I felt comfortable. Strongly recommend!!

Dr. Kham has been our family dentist for many years, and he is absolutely one of the best medical professionals that I have had in my life. He is highly skilled, extremely caring, and always wants the best for his patients. Over the years, he has been giving me and my family very accurate assessment and very sincere advises. He goes above and beyond, and does things for free (such as scanning for oral cancer with the advanced tools he buys) because it is important for him as a responsible medical professional. We trust him 100% because he is simply the best!

Dr. Kham is quite literally the best dentist I have ever had. He is caring and talks you through every procedure. I just went in for a cleaning, and he found a cavity. He filled it right there on the spot with no pain, so I did not have to come back into the office during the holidays. I highly suggest his practice, and his new location is very convenient and nice.

I hate going to the dentist but Dr. Kham’s office is literally as good as it gets. The staff are friendly and efficient. Dr. Kham is gentle and explains everything he is doing.  I recently needed a crown and he took care if it quickly and as pain free as possible. I’m moving and sad to be leaving this practice!

Been seeing Dr. Kham for two years now and am still so grateful I found him.  It’s a relief to have such a friendly, gentle dentist who answers all my questions!  This place is so considerate — they even give you protective glasses before cleanings so nothing splashes in your eyes, and they put chapstick on your lips before starting so your lips don’t dry out uncomfortably while they work!  What more could you possibly want from a dentist?!?!  In addition to this, I’m having SO many less fillings done than before — he said that instead of drilling immediately, more modern practice is to monitor a potential cavity over 6-12 months to see if the spot is worsening before immediately drilling.  I really appreciate this, because my last dentist was starting to make my teeth feel like swiss cheese.  Finally, I take my night guard with me every time I visit, and they clean and disinfect it for me and Dr. Kham tests the fit to make sure it’s still good.  Even though my night guard is very chipped and banged up after years of use, Dr. Kham is like, “Well, it’s still doing what it needs to,” and never pressures me to get a new one if it’s not necessary.  Can’t tell you how nice that is.  I swear half my office also sees Dr. Kham now.

Dr. Kham and his staff are amazing. He’s attentive, meticulous, and talks you through every step he is taking, and his assistants are always helpful, warm, and professional. Anytime he recommends an action (filling, canal, etc.) he shows you changes he sees on the x-rays and makes sure you understand why. To Dr Kham and his team, you are like an old friend, a person they respect and appreciate. So lucky to have found him.

Dr. Kham’s practice was recommended by a friend and we couldn’t be happier. His bedside manner is excellent; knowledgeable and affable. I was afraid of going to the dentist until we started seeing him. His staff is also very competent and friendly. Would definitely recommend him to any families out there

Dr. Kham is not only a phenomenal dental expert, he’s a genuinely compassionate person. He has gone out of his way to treat me like a real friend, and not just another customer. As others say, his bedside manner is very communicative; he explains what he’s doing and why each step if the way, and he’s always sure to check in to ask how you’re feeling. I’ve been sending everyone I know to him because I’ve really been that impressed! Not to mention the rest of his staff, who are all extremely warm and professional.

I followed Dr Kham from a previous practice and am so pleased with his independent endeavor. His office is immaculate and staff are so pleasant. Dr Kham is both superbly friendly and incredibly thorough. I always appreciate his gentle touch and careful explanation of my dental health. I recommend him enthusiastically.

My 9 year old son and I are seen here and we absolutely love it. Dr. Kham and his staff are professional, funny, and friendly. They definitely make you feel comfortable. My son and I were never happy about getting dental work done but Dr. Kham talked us through every step, asking questions and just making sure we were comfortable through the whole process. We truly appreciated his kindness.

This is a great dentistry practice—I was sad to leave my previous dentist when I moved to DC, but they quickly made me feel like I’d been going there for years. They are thorough, kind, efficient, and understanding. They have gone above and beyond during Covid to accommodate my unpredictable schedule. I felt very safe during both of my post-Covid appointments. I highly recommend them.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Kham for four years first at Daniel Cave & Associates and now at his new practice- Washington DC Dentistry.  His new office is conveniently located less than a 5 minute walk from the Foggy Bottom metro station.  Dr. Kham leads the teeth cleaning process and takes time to explain all necessary steps.  On two separate occasions, he has been able to do fillings during the initial teeth cleaning appointment.  His receptionist went above and beyond by calling my insurance when a billing question arose.  I recommend Dr. Kham to all my family and friends and have no doubt that his professionalism and customer service will make his new practice one of the most sought after in the D.C. area.

Dr. Kham is heaven sent. Honestly, I’ve been putting off going to the dentist for YEARS (I won’t tell you because I don’t need that kind of judgement) frankly because I’m scared to death of dental care. After scrolling through Yelp, I found Dr. Kham and saw all the 5 star reviews. The office is convenient enough so I figured I’ll give it a try. I called to make an regular check up appointment and was told I couldn’t get in for a couple weeks. The lady was very kind and explained she’ll let me know of any cancellations so I can come in sooner. Literally a couple hours later, she calls me back and says I can come in the next day! Nice! So I book a Friday appointment. The office was easy to find. The staff were super personable, fun, and eased down my anxiety. I was offered water or coffee while I filled out paperwork. I waited for maybe 2 mins (so fast!!!) and was taken to the back to do X-Rays. Dr. Kham explained every detail to me, he explained I would need fillings (anyone surprised? Remember it’s been years haha) and even showed me my cavity. I liked him so much, after my Friday appointment, I booked my filling appointment for the upcoming Monday! Again, Dr. Kham walked through every step of the filling, letting me know of any pressure that would come. My fillings took about 35 mins and I was out the door, feeling numb but thankful it didn’t hurt one bit!! So yeah folks, take it from someone who has already been in twice in one week. Everything from the location, the staff, the cleanliness, friendliness, and of course the overall Dr. experience. This place deserves much more than 5 stars.

Best dentist I’ve ever had. Dr. Kham did five cavity fillings for me and a gum treatment. He was kind, thorough, and extremely attentive. He immediately noticed the issue with my gums without me prompting him (I’d asked two previous dentists about it and they both dismissed the issue). He also treated an infection I had around a wisdom tooth for free. He’d still be my dentist if I hadn’t left D.C. The office is also great, and the staff are friendly, organized and responsive. All in all, I fully recommend Dr. Kham. I’d give him 6 stars if I could.

Some of the best care I’ve ever received.  With all the horrible, inefficient, overpriced medical care out there, the waiting 45 min for an appointment, the “oops we sent your labs to an out-of-network provider,” etc., when you stumble upon a wonderful medical provider and attentive and friendly receptionist to boot, you just want to hug them!  I started with Dr. Kham before he had his own practice.  I came to him after having a horrible experience with Washington Elite Dentistry that is the subject of another review :).  An extremely knowledgeable, caring, patient-focused doctor who is not at all out to make a buck off you, and knows how to tell you when you need to up your oral hygiene game (not speaking from personal experience or anything, my teeth are bangin).  I take my toddler to him and am trying to convince my husband to switch over to him, I am Dr. Kham’s biggest fan!

I moved to DC about 3 years ago and was struggling to find a new go-to dentist that I trusted. I found Dr. Kham on OpenCare and I couldn’t be happier. Everyone in the office is always so friendly and they create a warm environment for people who may have fears/reservations about dentist visits. Dr. Kham is patient and explains everything he is doing in detail so that you’re always comfortable.
