I have to say that Dr. Mohl is an excellent dentist. I have always been scared of needles and the sounds ina dental office. The staff at Dr. Mohl’s office is warm and welcoming! Dr. Mohl named his practice well-he is a gentle dentist! I have recommended him to many friends in the past and everyone I have sent has been happy with their results. Dr. Mohl is honest and I have never been happier with my teeth! I recently did invisilign and love how straight my smile is!

Dr. Mohl is great with children and adults alike. My four children see him and no longer dread going to the dentist! He is patient with younger kids and explains everything clearly to the older kids. Modern office and lovely office staff as well. My teen just started Invisalign and we are very excited about how smoothly the process is going. Can’t wait to see the great results!

Our visit with Dr. Mohl couldn’t have been better. I was a bit hesitant to schedule an appointment for my 4 year old who has anxiety and hypersensitivity issues. She’s only ever been to pediatric dentists, but there weren’t any that took our insurance within walking distance in our area. But she was perfectly behaved for Dr. Mohl and his chairside assistant. They were very gentle and patient with her. There was no wait time, the receptionist was friendly and welcoming, and the appointment went quickly. Plus they were perfectly chill about my one year old toddling around and being noisy, and even gave her an extra toothbrush. I really liked the small, intimate environment.

Dr.Mohl is a great dentist who is incredibly skilled and patient even with someone like me who gets nervous with dental procedures. The office laid out a clear plan for fixing my dental issues, complete with all the prices and a full timeline. Their office is state of the art and their prices are very fair. I’d highly recommend this dentist.

I and my family have been going to Dr Mohl’s dental office for many years. We are always extremely satisfied with the dental work that is performed. He has done cosmetic work as well as general dental services. He and the staff are very professional and friendly. If you are want a dentist on the Upper West Side -this is the one.

I’ve been seeing Dr Mohl for several years and have been very happy. I like the way he explains things, patiently answers my questions and makes sure I am comfortable with the chosen course of action. I originally started using Dr. Mohl after not seeing a dentist for several years and he “held my hand” through the deep cavities that needed filling and the root canal that I needed (I was impressed that he referred me to somebody else for that procedure). He remodeled his office a few years ago and it is now more comfortable. I continue to use him even though I moved from the neighborhood and it is less convenient to do so. I would feel comfortable recommending him to anyone who is looking for a dentist.

In NYC, the epicenter of dental practices, I could not imagine a better practice or better doctor than Reuven Mohl. Cleared up my insurance issues, confirmed appointments with a personal call, rescheduled at the last minute, and no wait to see the dentist whatsoever. Appointments are scheduled/staggered to accommodate the patient and the procedure. In fact, when I arrived early I was seen early. Dr. Mohl was indeed gentle, kind, reassuring, informative, and professional. Took his time and answered questions. My procedure required no local anesthesia and was still pain free. I am a squeamish patient, but I came back for my second appointment worry-free. I am not a native New Yorker and did not have a personal recommendation or a wide variety of in-network choices to guide me after neglecting my teeth for 25 years. I feel extremely fortunate to have found Dr. Mohl and his Office Manager, Constance. Strongly recommend and happy to do so.

Dr. Mohl has performed lots of dental work for me and the outcome has always been great. I have had multiple cavities filled and a cap redone (previously done elsewhere). I trust him and feel very comfortable at his office. I never feel rushed and he’s always on time. I especially appreciate the friendliness and competency of his employees (desk and assistants). His new xray equipment is especially nice since it uploads to the computer so the results are almost immediate (most places you have to wait for films to develop) and detects cavities before they get larger because of the detail provided on the xrays. We moved apartments and still continue to travel for Dr. Mohl.

We think that DDS, Dr.Mohl is a high level honest professional and very thorough with dental exams and with dental work. Despite some negative reviews we couldnt find any faults so far and though we live not in a neighbourhood, we travel cross town to Dr.Mohl. Reception is curteous, you must ask questions and enquire for your insurance, because with no PPO may be a tricky business, but so far we had no issues with our United Care Oxford PPO. You know the feeling, when you were told one price at doctors office and then comes a “surprise” via mail in a form of insurance/or dr.office “final bill”. Well. Here is not such case. You will be told at reception if any extra charges may occur and how much does it cost and how much of it your insurance will pay. The dental job is done with high quality materials and by Dr.Mohl himself. No complaints after 2 years all is fine. We recomend this doctor especially to those who arent comfortable around dentists. 🙂

I’ve had some serious dental work done over the past 5 years and it’s been hard to find a dentist that takes insurance and is really great!  I’ve given many a try in NYC before I finally found someone that I not only trust, but that I look forward to visiting!! I know that’s unheard of, who wants to go to the dentist, but Dr. Mohl is really wonderful, gentle, professional and does such amazing work, a perfectionist in the best way.  I have referred all my friends and family to him and highly suggest you give him a try.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mohl for over 15 years and I would never go anywhere else! He is always so pleasant and welcoming. The receptionist is always professional and handles my calls in a timely matter. After having a great experience myself, I decided to bring my three children to this office since the age of 2yrs old. My kids never cried and always left happy. Dr. Mohl is gentle and takes his time to make sure we all, especially the kids, are comfortable. I used to be terrified of going to the dentist as a kid and am glad Dr. Mohl gave a completely different experience to my children! The office is always clean and you never have to wait long for your appointment. Highly recommend!!

Could not have had a better experience. Office Mgr. Constance handled my insurance issues, rescheduling needs, and confirmed my appointments with a personal call and complete professionalism. No waiting for appointments and no waiting to see Dr. Mohl. In fact, when I arrived early, I was seen early. Gentle Dental warrants its name. Dr. Reuven Mohl is friendly, informative, professional, reassuring, and talented. No pain whatsoever; no local anesthesia necessary. I went for my first treatment feeling squeamish (hadn’t seen a dentist in 25 years) and left ready for my next treatment, worry-free. I’m obviously an adult, but would certainly recommend this practice for children as well. Could not have been more pleased with my results. I’m not in the habit of writing online reviews, but felt strongly that Dr. Mohl and Constance deserved the feedback and recommendation.

Woke up with a terrible toothache and swelling in my gums. I had just seen my regular dentist and was upset that he hadn’t caught anything so decided it was time to try someone new. Asked a few friends and they all recommended Dr. Mohl at West Side Gentle Dental. I called and his very friendly receptionist was able to squeeze me in for an appt in the afternoon. When I arrived they were so welcoming and made me feel at ease. Dr Mohl and his assistant examined my teeth and found the problem very quickly with minimal pain and minimal expense. It’s the next day now and I am pain and inflammation free. I also have a new dentist.

Gentle Dental is not just a name. Dr. Mohl’s technique is so skilled and gentle that what usually can be a fearsome trip the dentist is actually pleasant. Dr. Mohl and his entire staff are friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate. The fees are reasonable also. The Upper West Side location is very convenient, and they are always on schedule, so the wait time is minimal. 4 stars out of 4!

I’ve been going to Dr. Mohl for a few years and have always had a great experience with him.  I have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist but he has always been very comforting and reassuring, and I feel much less nervous about going to the dentist since I have started seeing him. He has such a pleasant demeanor and is not intimidating like other doctors and dentists can be at times.  He and his hygienists always provide a thorough cleaning without the pain that I have experienced at other practices.  The office staff is incredibly friendly and making appointments is always a pleasant experience.  They also looked up my dental insurance for me when I changed coverage, which prevented me from facing any inconvenience based on the change.  I have referred many friends and co-workers to this practice, and they have all been happy there.  I will certainly refer more people to this practice in the future.

Dr. Mohl practices as advertised, extremely gentle. He really addresses all of your concerns and is extremely professional and kind. He works with you and your situation when it comes to billing and I have sent many friends to him who agree with me that he is a great dentist. He fit me in very quickly when my tooth cracked. I’ve had bad experiences at some dentists and am now really happy.

I have been a patient for a few years and his practice is amazing. He is caring, very professional and answered all my questions before we started treatment. When ever I had a question, Dr. Mohl came to the phone and spent time explaining the procedures and explained everything again without any hesitation. I am so happy with the results of the work.

I am not one who usually writes reviews but I am compelled to write a review for Dr. Mohl to tell how special he is. I had been to another practice and was unhappy with how I was treated, as I am terrified of the dentist. Dr. Mohl and his staff were warm and so good at what they do. They remember my name and how nervous I am. I was put at ease and now I look forward to my 6 month check-up!
