When they say “Your comfort is our passion,” they mean it! From calming essential oils diffused in the waiting room, to colorful scenic filters on the lights in the treatment rooms, with pleasant, un-muzak-y tunes… not one element of this office is unpleasant to any of your senses. The staff are professional, friendly & kind, patient & gentle. They really seemed to love their job, and will go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable. As for the Doc, IMHO he is the best mouth-mechanic in the state! In his years of professional experience, Dr Ted has developed a method so skilled, you don’t even feel a shot! From ages 1-100 years, he’s the Dentist you’ll actually ENJOY seeing twice a year!

I had scheduled for a new cap to be placed & in the mean time I knocked a cap off another tooth. When, I called to see when it could be done, we made it for the same day, with extra time blocked out, so both of them to get done. That made it easier on me & the dentist’s office too. What a great experience I’ve had with Westgate Family Dental. Everyone is very pleasant and helpful. Recently I had a question about a partial that I’m having made. The receptionist was the only person in the office. She helped me to the best of her ability and took it further to get my answers from the right person and called me back with information. Everyone that I’ve had contact with has been wonderful.

This was my first trip to the dentist in a little to long so I was so, so nervous. But Dr. Ted’s staff was so great to work with; from the second I walked in the waiting area I felt so comfortable. The exam and cleaning went very quickly and the nurse that waited on me was so nice- she even let me play a game on my phone while she worked to help pass the time! And Dr. Ted was very professional, friendly, and quick with his portion as well. 5 out of 5 stars all the way! Look no further for a dentist!

I have been recommending Dr. Ted and his staff to friends, co-workers, even people I just met for years now. Every time I hear someone complain about their dentist I feel fortunate to have found Westgate Family Dental. And I just did Zoom Whitening. Working in the TV business having whiter teeth is a concern and I like my coffee and red wine! I have tried at home whitening. For one I don’t have the patience for it. And when I did try it I ended up burning my mouth and tongue. Misery. Zoom was awesome. Just over an hour in the chair with Sue and white teeth! I mean really white teeth! I was a little apprehensive at first, but actually fell asleep in the chair lol. There is a mouth guard that totally protects your gums and tongue. My teeth look so good I want to smile so you can see my upper AND lower teeth (but that is tough to do). I highly recommend Dr. Ted and Zoom. You can see the results on WTOL at 5pm, 6pm and 11pm. 🙂 P.S. Take their advice and use ibuprofen. I experienced a little sensitivity in my teeth. For me it was no big deal. Very much worth it for the results

I have been a patient here for approximately 3 years. I go in three times a year for cleanings. (More often than usually recommended because I had some issues with my gums and want to prevent a recurrence.) They are friendly and efficient without being rushed, and the appointments start on time. Their office is nicely decorated and in good condition. Last Wednesday, I bit my tongue badly, it was bleeding for a few hours. I thought it would heal up quickly, the following Monday there was still a little portion that was partly detached and flapping out from the side. I called them Monday morning, and they were able to fit me in an hour after I called. Dr. Ted examined my tongue and told me that it will heal fine on its own and educated me about how the tongue heals. He said that there were procedures that they could do but they likely wouldn’t help, it will heal fine on its own and grow back to its normal shape over time. He gave me an ointment and recommended that I avoid spicy food for a few days and keep it clean with a mouth rinse. I was so relieved to hear that my tongue would be okay, and on top of that . . . there was no charge for the visit! That was really nice and unexpected, and makes me feel valued as a loyal patient. I’ve had a lot of bad experiences recently with other medical providers — hour long waits, waiting on hold or not being able to reach anybody on the phone, unreasonably high bills for small services, etc. It’s really nice to have a dentist that doesn’t do any of that, that provides excellent and friendly service at a reasonable price. I expect that I’ll remain a loyal customer and will recommend Dr. Ted’s practice to family and friends if they are looking for a new dentist.

I had went to aspin dental a while back and had a very….. very bad experience with a tooth pulling. When i went into westgate to get my infected tooth pulled i was freaking out! But everyone there was extremely nice and understanding to my fears. Dr Ted and his staff are fantastic! He will always give an educational explanation of what procedure/s need to be performed. Sometimes I’m good for another six months.
