Going to the dentist is absolutely terrifying for me and in fact I let fear keep me from seeing a dentist for far too many years until someone recommended Dr. Latner. My first visit and consultation with him put me at ease, and he and his staff continues to do after a little over 2 years. I I have to admit I am still nervous and anxious, but the paralyzing fear is gone and that trust I owe to Dr. Latner, his staff and just the general atmosphere of his office. I am so please with the dental work thus far and really enjoy the professional, yet friendly manner and attitude of the staff. Had my yearly check up and it was as good as a dental visit can get. Everyone in the office is so friendly, helpful and professional. The process was ever so smooth and painless, and results were explained thoroughly. So there’s this way of cleaning teeth by shooting baking soda on your teeth, and it’s called by htose in the know as “sandblasting”. Your teeth may never feel better. My dentist in FL uses this new technology and it took me 6 months here to find a guy that does it. He’s by no means a cheap dentist, but he accepts all insurances, everyone’s super nice, and they have an Otis Spunlunker cookie oven and a Flavia coffee machine in the waiting room.

Dr. Latner and his team do a great job. Both my wife and I went to Dr. Latner for routine dental cleanings and the occasional crown or filling when we lived in LA (2009-2012). He and his staff were always friendly and professional and they did a good job explaining whatever they were doing once you were in the dentist chair (cleaning, measuring, or whatever). They listened to our concerns, offered suggestions and options, but never pressured us into any procedure we didn’t want or need. Scheduling was always easy. I think my wife had to cancel an appointment once or twice, but was always able to reschedule within a few days. The check-in/waiting area is nice (cookies and coffee are a plus!) though I never waited long after checking in. I would definitely recommend Dr. Latner to my friends, and if we ever move back to the west side of LA, I would be happy to go back to him.

Dr. Latner to the rescue. A piece of my molar broke off and I waited way too long to address it because I absolutely fear the dentist. Unfortunately, I started to have pain in my jaw from it and needed to address it before it got worse. Prior to Dr. Latner, I have not found a dentist in the area that worked for me. Thanks to a referral on Nextdoor, I found Dr. Latner. Luckily, his office was open to emergencies during COVID-19 and I was able to get in the next day. The X-ray appeared that I would need a root canal and crown. After he took off the filling, he told me that it was not as deep as he thought and no root canal needed. Not only did I find his honesty refreshing but I did not feel any pain. I will be back to his office for dental cleaning in the future.

Very impressed. I was told by my regular dentist that I needed gum surgery. Dr. Latner said that I did not need the surgery, which would be costly and require significant recovery time, and instead performed a de-sensitizing treatment which worked like a charm! He could have proceeded with the surgery just to make a buck, but he did the honorable thing. Also, I liked how he explained what he was doing every step of the way. I felt very relaxed and confident in his abilities. Plus, he and his staff are very friendly. I’ll be back!

You don’t have to be Kirsten Dunst, Steve Buscemi, or Anna Paquin to want better teeth. Nor do you have to be a Brit or nicknamed Mr. Ed. You just have to be someone who likes to smile. I love to smile, but figured the only thing that I could do about yellow teeth was to wear a brown tie. Thanks to yelper Linda W. for the Dr. Latner recommendation. For more than a year, my wife and I have been regular patients. The office and staff are professional and inviting. Three different hygienists have had the burden to clean my chiclets and all three were excellent. I’m a bleeder. It’s my own fault for not flossing or brushing my gums. Been there and heard that for years. What’s great about Westside Dental is that they accept it and just go about their job of gently cleaning my teeth without a massive guilt trip and lecture session. Also, If you L. U. V. technology the way Madonna LUVes herself, then Latner is THE dentist for you. Even before arriving, the tech touch points are more than 4 out of 5 patients would recommend: modern website, regular blog, live online chat, email newsletters, text message updates & reminders, promotional videos, and a busy Facebook presence. Then at the office, prepare for more gadgetry. While you wait, there’s the obligatory TV with some PBS content, but there’s also a play area for kids, a small kitchenette with free water, snacks, cookies, and microwave … side note: I kind of feel weird eating cookies BEFORE seeing my dentist … Then a digital photo of you is added to your file. Once you actually hit the dentist chair, get ready for Laser Cavity Detection, Air Abrasion for Cavities, Composite Resin Fillings, and a myriad of other cool cosmetic dentistry stuff I don’t even understand. Seriously, it’s like George Lucas became a dentist. The only drawback is that all the professionalism, tender care, and technology come at a hefty price tag. Thanks to my insurance (Delta Dental), the service has totally been worth it and kept me from looking too much like a white Flavor Flav.

I have been coming to Dr. Latner for about 3 years. I take good care of my teeth and don’t have anxiety over going to the dentist, that said Les Latner’s office meets & exceeds my expectations for the following reasons: 1. Professional front desk – appointments are handled well, the office uses emails and texts to confirm appointments, and I’ve never had an issue getting an appointment. 2. Not overcrowded – I have been places where I felt like I was 1 of thousands of patients. That is not an issue here. I always get taken back for my appointment at the scheduled time without having to wait. 3. Friendly staff – everyone is very nice and friendly. There are cookies and coffee in the waiting area. They even clean my night guard for me whenever I come in (something they offered a few visits ago).

I have been coming here since the day that I could remember. With greeted staff upon entering the doors, this is one trail that sticks out and making it worth the adventure. I’ve been going to Dr. Latner for about 10 years. Now my husband and two kids go there too. Dr. Latner has always taken great care of all of us. Recently I chipped my front tooth the day before a big presentation and Dr. Latner was able to get me in the same day and fixed it so well that I literally cannot even tell on my own teeth where the chip was before! I was terrified that my entire smile would be permanently tainted but I am amazed that even I can’t even notice! I did great on my presentation thanks to the confidence in my appearance that Dr. Latner restored. He’s also been great for my kids (age 1 and 4), making each visit painless and fun. My 4 year old loves going and he has a lot of things to keep the kids entertained: little TVs in the dentist chair with Netflix and toys. My 4 year old would sit there all day if we let her. Plus coffee and freshly baked cookies in the waiting room—what could be better?! The hygienists are also great too, even with my kids. I love this office and will never go anywhere else. Also great that their office has variable hours, so they accommodate you early mornings or late afternoons depending on the day so you can work it around your schedule.

Incredible. I had a tooth extraction from a long-standing cavity that I was quite remiss in dealing with in the early stages and I have to tell you, Latner has hands like air. You don’t ever even feel them passing into, around or out of your mouth. My problem with dentists is that I generally feel invaded when they are poking around and never at any point did I feel like this with this dentist. It was smooth and easy and came at quite a decent price. Very happy. Thanks Dr. Latner…you are certainly skilled at your profession!!! Update: I’m having my regular cleanings done here and the hygienist, Ingrid, is absolutely the best hygienist I’ve ever had the pleasure to be so lucky as to have clean my teeth. She explains everything as she’s going, is dilligent and has a very bright and positive personality. Alba at the front desk is also A+++, super-professional and kind-hearted and runs a tight ship. Leslie was also very friendly and issued a warm greeting upon arrival.

Dr Latner is my favorite. What a nice guy and he’s extremely knowledgeable. I love the office staff, the location (except for the parking situation which can be a tad much sometimes), moreover, the dental hygienists are extremely sweet and very friendly. I have not had a single bad experience at Dr. Latners office since I’ve begun treatments nearly 3 years ago. I do recommend scheduling ahead of time. I recently called for a scheduled cleaning and was told they’re completely booked for my husband and I to come in. Slightly disappointing but what more can I say when you’ve got great service and amazing professionals there’s bound to be an influx of customers/patients. After an extraction due to an overly frozen peanut embedded in ice cream (with a replacement, implanted tooth afterward) and a year or so with Invisalign to straighten very crooked teeth I have three noteworthy observations: 1. Alba and the office staff treat patients like family. It doesn’t get better than that. 2. Eric (also DDS) is truly talented and incredibly responsive to patient needs. 3. Other than the unavoidable “pinch” to administer Novocain, all the work Dr. Latner has done has been pain-free, and this includes the extraction of a molar! Just the thought of having my jaw bone drilled and tapped for an implant sounded awful, but the experience was 180° from my expectation. Dr. Latner came to my family via referral and I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to play it forward by making the same recommendation to anyone in need of dental care. Dr. Latner is on top of advances in dental technology and has an incredible skill set – more like a “dental engineer” than a typical dentist. I never thought I’d look forward to dental visits, but here I am writing this review. Go figure.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Latner since 2007. Was referred to him by another outstanding Periodontist. My experience with his practice has been nothing short of exceptional. His staff is knowledgeable, friendly and always offers a personal touch. It’s like family here. Dr Latner himself is great. Very personable and professional. His work is outstanding and his dental hygienists are great. I actually didn’t know how great his practice was until I moved quite a bit away. I have really bad anxiety, phobia, and have really sensitive teeth and gums, so dentistry is basically torture for me. I give a 10…! Office staff super professional…..Dr. Latner is “The Best.” I grew up in the 50’s and 60’s in New York and experienced much pain during my dental work. Now- with Dr. Latner, I rarely feel discomfort. He is so gentle and really cares about his patients. His work is impeccable and his entire staff will handle your insurance needs. They do a complete initial and thorough history and get you set up for future visits(x-rays, pictures,exams) and once that is complete they deal with the issue at hand. I believe neglecting your teeth is the number one source of other medical issues. I went for bi-annual cleaning. The hygienist can be super detail and spend a lot of time on your teeth.
