GREAT DENTAL OFFICE!!! 1. Tisha – front desk secretary. She is very friendly, professional, and persistent if you need help getting something authorized. I am a Veteran who was referred to Dr Cruse’s office. In spite of this, the VA was giving this office a hard time about approving a panoramic x-ray, the least expensive part of what was already approved. Tisha did not let the stubborn and ignorant VA personal get to her. She persisted until she finally spoke to someone who knew how to read dental language and got the x-ray approved. Tisha could have easily given up and told me that it was up to me to resolve the issue, but she was tenacious for me. And that alone was enough to earn my future business. 2. Margaret – dental hygienist. Very nice, professional, gentle, and energetic. She took many x-rays in a flash with the help of her “secret helper”, another hygienist who zapped the x-rays from outside the room. She took at least 10 x-rays in less than 2 minutes. She explained all of the pictures to me, which conveniently showed up on a screen that hovered in front of me. She then cleaned my teeth, took measurements, took pictures of my teeth with a cool little camera, etc. She was thorough and gentle. (There was some scraping, but that was my fault for not having gotten a cleaning in over 2 years.) When I told her about my tooth severe sensitivity to cold, she gave me a prescription strength toothpaste – $14 bc the VA won’t cover it for some reason. Hopefully it will help. She gave me a fluoride rinse, which was far more pleasant that it’s been with other hygienists in the past. She summed up everything she’d done and paged Dr Cruse. 3. Dr Cruse. He came in, gave me a firm handshake, and asked me about my dental history. He listened carefully, looked at my teeth, and explained what needed to be done. He was friendly, a good listener, and very focused. [So much better than the last dentist I saw, Dr Christopher Knight (Mission Family Dental), who was an arrogant, incompetent jerk, and treated me like an idiot for telling him I still had pain after his work was “done”. It’s bc of Dr Knight’s rude and inept work that I developed an severe anxiety about going to the dentist – something I’d never experienced before.] Over the next month or so, Dr Cruse’s office is going to fill a couple of small cavities and replace a bad bridge that Dr Knight put in about 4 years ago. Whether the VA approves any more of my dental coverage outside the VA, Dr Cruse’s office will have my (and my family’s) business from now on. A big thanks to Dr Cruse and his team!!!
