Dr Gerard has by far the very best Dental Practice bar none. When we heard he had moved into the Toms River area we made appointments soon after. On my wife and sons first visit he corrected or found ongoing issues that other dentist missed or just could not correct. His staff is professional and friendly. I call his hygienist miss painless. If you live in the Toms River or Livingston area then you must try Dr Gerard’s practice out.

Dr. Gerard is very good at assessing your dental health and developing a plan within your budget. He is very friendly and discusses the scope of work upon your arrival. I am a very nervous dental patient. Dr. Gerard and his staff make me feel so comfortable. They understand my concerns and are so professional. Dr. Gerard does wonderful work and trust me I’ve had a lot done. I have been so happy with everything from implants, root canals and crowns. Oh and did I say he has the BEST staff!! If you want a knowledgeable doctor with the most up to date equipment this is the place for you!

This was my first visit, initial impression is extremely positive. Took me in right away, even with social distancing adhered to – immediately took my temperature, had all my information I sent electronically, no delay, ready to go. Luce, his assistance, took complete xrays, available in just a few minutes (everyone I dealt with were very competent.) Shortly thereafter, Dr. Gerard came in, reviewed the findings with me, spent a while examining, discussing, answering all my questions, breaking down dentist jargon to simple terms for me, giving me referrals to other specialists, and exploring various treatment routes. 360 care. Not once did I feel rushed or pushed to make an immediate expensive decision. We’ll see how future appointments fair, so far perfect batting average.

I rarely write reviews (in fact, I am greatly annoyed by the constant request for reviews from everybody from the drive-thru lunch to the paperboy), but I wanted to take the time to write one today for Dr. Gerard. I live in Texas but had a veneer pop off while in NJ on business. I called Dr. Gerard and his team worked me into his schedule quickly. Dr. Gerard knew he had no potential repeat business with me, but treated me like a valued client just the same. He easily and professionally took care of my veneer, but in a very caring fashion he also gave me some great advice on options to discuss with my regular dentist in Texas. I really appreciated that, and his overall warmth and skill.

Had a great visit with Dr. Gerard. I was seen immediately after I completed my paperwork. He assessed my problem quickly and gave me a prescription. He was very nice, asked questions to get to know me and my family, and recommended a new cleaner for my Invisalign retainer. Dr. Gerard is a wonderful dentist and a great human being. He is patient and gets to the bottom of the problem. He fixed my teeth that was wrecked by one of the dentist I tried in my new area. I like how each exam room has a dedicated nurse and you are taken care of right away. The front desk staff is courteous and very helpful. I love going there – so much that I got my husband and kid to go there too.

Obviously this person who posted one star is atypical. All others rate with 5 stars. In my experience as a healthcare professional, most reviews are posted by displeased clients. Obviously not the case with Dr Gerard. I have been attending this practice for many years after my previous dentist retired to Georgia. Dr Gerard is a perfectionist!! All of the staff is knowledgeable and professional. I have not had a bad experience … ever!!!!

I have been visiting Dr. Gerard ever since I moved to the neighborhood as a teenager almost 15 years ago. Since then, I have gone away to college, moved back home, and now, currently reside in NYC. I have still kept Dr. Gerard as my primary dentist, and for good reason. Everyone in the office, from the assistants to Dr. Gerard are kind and welcoming. They go out of their way to make sure you have the everything you need to make your time at the dentist office as painless as possible. Although, I am only in my twenties Dr. G and his staff are by far the best dental crew I have experienced in my life. I will continue to visit them as long as I can. There are very few “neighborhood friendly” doctors anymore. People who remember your name, remember your story, etc. I’ve always felt that I am considered a high priority no matter it be a cavity filling (not many, I swear) or a bi-yearly cleaning. If possible, I would give Dr. Gerard an 100 star rating but until Yelp creates that measurement, 5 will have to do. I cannot say enough positive things about the service and results w/ Dr. G.

Dr. Gerard and his team are great. I made a same-day appointment for emergency dental care – one of my fillings came out. All of the paperwork was available electronically, so there was no wait time when I arrived. I was shown directly into the exam room and was immediately treated. The dentist and his team were professional, explained every step of the procedure, and adhered to the Covid-19 guidelines. The procedure was short, painless and effective. I’ll be coming back with my kids for our next cleaning, which is really the best endorsement I can give

Dr. Gerard showed tremendous patience and really thought threw my dental problems (malocclusion 3) and the right procedures to address this issue. I have been to many dentists and frankly I have never seen anyone come close to devoting this amount of time. A true professional.
