Dr. Phillips is a rare find in the world of dentistry, especially if you are what we call a “Dental Chicken” like myself. I had avoided the dentist for far too long and ended up needing a couple old fillings replaced and also a bunch of small surface cavities. He handled everything so patiently and even managed to distract the first shot, barely felt it. He talks to you about each step and is warm hearted and tries to keep you relaxed and at ease. The hygienists also have a gentle touch and work professionally. Anel the manager/front desk is on TOP OF IT ALL! From scheduling appointments to following up about insurance, even if you can’t get an appointment right away she is thorough with the cancellation list. You wont avoid Dr. Phillips! He’s the best, as long as he practicing he will be my dentist.

My family has been patients of Dr. Phillips for over 25 years! The office staff are friendly and very welcoming. I love the remodel of the office to the beach theme since it is only a block from the beach. Appointments can get a little tricky for dental cleaning but that just may be my crazy schedule. Since I do live over 2 hours away now they do their best to try and accommodate me. I hope he stays in practice for years to come because I have been to other dentists and I always end up right back here. His patients and gentle nature are what make him so great! Thanks for everything Dr. Phillips, Mary, and Anelle!

Dr. Phillips is the best dentist in the South Bay. When I first moved here in 1997 I tried several dentists in the area before finding Dr. Phillips. He is the nicest person and explains everything thoroughly. I’ve been coming here for 15+ years and am glad to have found him. The whole office staff is also very friendly and professional.

Doctor Philliips, thank you for the many many years of fantastic service. At 55, I have a full set of very funtionl and cosmetically excellent  looking teeth all thanks to your care. . I am so confident in your deligent and thorough  work   that I am 100% sure that I will have no issues with my teeth for the rest of my life so long as I am  under your care.   Thank you for being so gentle. Pain has never been an issue at your office. My dental visits are always pleasant. Dr Phillips is the most caring and gentle dentist I have ever been to! I have a fear of dentists, needles, drilling…it all terrifies me!! But Dr Phillips is great! He works quickly and carefully. He is through and will do whatever he can to make you comfortable. He is great at making sure to do the best treatment possible for the nature of your dental need and will save every tooth possible!! I will never go to another dentist ever!! 10 stars for this dental Superman!!!

I’ve been going to Dr. Phillips for my dental needs for 24 years now and wouldn’t trust anyone more with my teeth than him! Mary and the rest of the staff are like family and it is always a pleasure coming in for a cleaning or the rare unfortunate filling. Dr. Phillips explains any necessary procedures and gives an honest opinion on whether work needs to be done. Case in point: I recently chipped off a small piece of one of my teeth by accidentally biting into a fork at dinner. Dr. Phillips took a look and advised that unless it really bothered me from a cosmetic perspective, that the tooth is structurally sound and I have nothing to worry about. Reliable and trustworthy advice from a true professional. I now live in Phoenix AZ but still make the trip out every 6 months–that’s how good this practice is! Definitely pay a visit if you’re looking for a new or better dentist.

Dr. Phillips is such a wonderful dentist, and is so warm hearted!! I work in the field of dentistry as an assistant, and Dr. Phillips was kind enough to let me intern there for my needed hours. Every patient I saw under his care absolutely adored him and have been committed to his services for years. Not only is he extremely friendly, but he is genuinely a fantastic dentist. If you are looking for a dentist in the South Bay, look no further. Dr. Phillips is the best 🙂

We’ve been going to Dr Phillips’ office for 18 years and have received excellent service every step of the way – even when our kids were little they accommodated every age of our kids.  From Anel to Lilly to Mary and Cathy – the whole family of people that work for Dr Phillips are very thorough and dedicated to their profession.  And as other reviews noted, Dr Phillips “talks you through” every procedure step by step.  Patience and stellar service are Dr Phillips’ best qualities!
