I found Dr. Schluter in August of 2013 when I needed a filling replaced. His candor, professionalism, and laid back approach made me feel at ease. Further, his staff are personable, compassionate and professional. I don’t have insurance, and they were eager and willing to help where they could. Pic called upon his services again this week. I discovered I had an abscess, this needing a root canal. Despite a busy schedule, and his limited history with me, they were able to work me in for an X-ray and exam, and schedule a root canal for yesterday (4-2-2014). The tooth was saved, my jaw feels better, and the procedure was relatively painless. Dr. schluter and his staff run a professional yet laid- back dental clinic. I have had nothng but good experiences, and would highly recommend them.

Dr. Schluter is my most favorite dentist in the whole world. I have never felt any pain since I’ve starting going to him probably the late 80’s or early 90’s. I actually almost fall asleep when he is working on my teeth. I think I have fallen asleep. It’s always my snoring that wakes me up. Everyone in the office is friendly and efficient. Since I’m a microbiologist, I also notice the aseptic technique (I can’t help it). They are wonderful with cleaning all of the equipment and instruments. I feel really safe here

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Schluter for almost 20 years. He is a dentist, who not only does amazing restorative and cosmetic dentistry, but is so gentle, you almost don’t know you are having dental work done! I have had crowns, root canals, composite fillings and veneers done by Dr. Schluter and have always been so pleased at how beautiful and natural my teeth look. His staff is so friendly and efficient, and their goal is to make your visit as pleasant and comfortable as possible. I have been a patient since 1986. At that time I was living down the street. Now I live about 45 minutes away and yet I have continued as a patient. I have always been pleased with the work Dr Schluter has done. He will take the time to explain to you what is going on and what your options are. The entire office staff is excellent. There has been very little turnover, which to me is an indication that this is a group that works very well together. As mentioned in other reviews, the office is immaculate. If you live in the Placentia/Yorba Linda/Brea area and and need a good dentist, pay Dr Schluter a visit

By far the best dentist I’ve ever been to. Dr. Schluter and crew are obviously very passionate about their craft, and consistently deliver top notch care. He is so good, that when my family and I were living in Central California, we would drive down to Orange County for our bi-annual checkups at Dr. Schluter’s office. And unlike every other dentist I’ve been to, the office operates like clockwork, and the waiting room is almost always empty. I don’t even know why he has magazines in there, I can’t remember the last time I actually waited in the waiting room for more than 60 seconds. And yet, it is never hack and slash like I’ve seen elsewhere. He and the staff take their time with each patient. And he is very, very good if you need cavity work one. And if there are ever any issues, or emergency situations, he is always somehow able to accommodate and still keep things running smoothly.

As a retired Registered Dental Assistant, my standards for a dental practice are exceedingly high. Dr. Schluter’s office meets them. I lived across the street from Dr. Schluter’s mother-in-law when he established his practice to Placentia. She has long since moved, but this serendipitous discovery has made dental care for my entire family a pleasant experience ever since. I have always had soft teeth that resulted in lots of hours spent in a dentist’s chair, so I feel well qualified to rate Dr. Schluter as one of the gentlest and most professional dentists that I have encountered over the last fifty years. Of course, the modern technology he uses is a big improvement over dental offices of the past, but his concern and the competence of his staff give reassurance on every occasion that I visit that it will be as stress-free as possible.

I had to find a new dentist, because my former dentist retired. I used two criteria to choose my new dentist., first I wanted the location to be close to my residence, secondly, I did not want to see any negative comments about the practice. Both of these goals were accomplished with the choice of Dr. Schluter. His office and equipment are a lot more modern than my former dentist. Have you ever seen a tooth, or teeth, on a monitor that shows them to be about 18 inches in height ? You get a real clear picture of how your teeth look up close and personal. Dr. Schluter has done two crowns and a root canal for me. Nobody can honestly say they enjoy getting this kind of work done, but, other than the time it took to do the work, it was a piece of cake, painless. I appreciated the way he explained how he was going affect repairs on my teeth. I felt I was part of the process, not just another patient being hurried through the system. The office staff is very friendly and greet you by name when you enter the office. I am seen promptly at my appointment time, as yet, I have never had to wait more than a few minutes, my time is important also. I get my teeth cleaned these days more than I used to, I will officially be a senior citizen this year, and I still have all my teeth, with the exception of my wisdom teeth. Dr. Schluter’s hygienst is also very professional, and, does a great job cleaning my teeth, with out any pain. I believe I have hit a home run here, with Dr. Schlutter and his support staff. If you are in the market for a dentist, give him a try, I know you will not be disappointed.

Dr. Schluter and his team are amazing. My daughter had a medical/dental emergency while she was out of state for a athletic event for CSUF. The moment we returned home and landed we went to see him. My daughter was not exactly in the mood to be poked and prodded all over again after spending three days in a hospital and having emergency surgery in her mouth and she had a bad experience with her previous dentist. He and his team were so patient with her, they knew exactly how to create an environment where she felt safe and at ease. When she was done with her treatment she even said she wanted to make him her regular Dentist. She has been back to him and feels totally comfortable there and we both trust his recommendation for any treatment. You never feel like he is trying to over treat you or sell you more than you need. He is friendly, trustworthy and professional. If you are in the fullerton area please go to his office for your dental care, they care about you as a person and that is a rare find in a Dentist!

I have been going to Dr. Schluter since 1998. Totally worth the one hour commute. When you find a great, trustworthy dentist with amazing staff you stick with it. Prior to seeing him I had had a dental nightmare. I was told by the previous dentist that I had almost $9K worth of work that needed to be done. I was terrified to go back. I had not seen a dentist for 3 years. Then a friend (now husband) recommended Dr. Schluter. I went and have been going back every 6 months since. And no, I did not need that much work done. The whole staff is wonderful. They are amazingly patient with my feisty five year old and my older children as well. When we moved from YL to North Fontana I never even considered finding a new dentist in my area.

My husband and I have been going to Dr.Schluter for almost 20 years. We feel so lucky to have him and his staff taking care of us. We feel more like friends than clients. The moment you walk in the door, Sally ‘s friendly demeanor and her call the day before to remind us of our appointment, make you feel welcome. Kim, the hygienist, is the greatest. She cleans our teeth and even inspects our tongues. Since I am a big baby when it comes to getting my teeth cleaned she helps deaden my gums a little. We feel so comfortable with all of them. Dr. Schluter and Ellan work so well together and keep our teeth healthy and nice. He has never tried to sell us any expensive dental work that we didn’t need. I used to hate going to the dentist but for a long time now, I like going and can’t wait to see what they have all been doing. The office is close to our home but would be willing to drive a long way to go there. We have nice smiles and have to thank the doctor and his staff for this. If you need a new dentist I would highly recommend him

A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. Schluter has provided comprehensive dental care to Placentia/Yorba Linda area residents since 1985. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine in 1979. After studying for four years at the University of Southern California Dental School he was awarded his DDS degree in 1983. Postgraduate courses at the Kois Center for Restorative Excellence allowed him to develop greater expertise in complex restoration cases and cosmetic treatments. Regular attendance at continuing education courses enables Dr. Schluter to stay at the forefront of his specialty so that he can provide optimal care to his patients. He also attends courses focusing on all aspects of dental implants so that the most current treatment options are available to his patients. He has been a member of the North Orange County Implant Study Group for more than 10 years. Dr. Schluter is also dedicated to serving the local community. He serves as the team dentist for Cal State Fullerton and has lectured at the University for the Athletic Trainers Class on emergency dental treatment. He has treated many of the University's finest athletes and coaches.
