I started with this office a few years ago when we moved into the Scottsdale area. I had looked at the reviews before making an appointment and it seemed like Dr. Woodruff would be a good choice. I was right! He’s very professional, thorough and meticulous….all characteristics I want in a dentist. His professionalism extends to his staff who are very pleasant and helpful. I was the first to go to this office from our family. My wife and daughter now go here and are also very pleased. It’s been a great experience. Highly recommended!

Dr. Woodruff is exceptional. I contacted Dr Woodruff after my prior dentist retired and I found myself with a dental emergency on a Sunday evening. Dr Woodruff was kind, compassionate and went out of his way to find a pharmacy that was open on Sunday evening. He saw me the next day in the office and with patience, in an unhurried manner, explained my treatment options. I have complete confidence in Dr Woodruff and so appreciate his kindness in addition to his expertise. Additionally, his staff are equally kind, compassionate and caring. I genuinely dislike going to the dentist in general. I put it off and fear it and have been to several that are absolute crooks. I was referred to Dr. Woodruff when I had a very bad toothache. He figured out what the problem was very quickly, got me the medication and treatment needed, and even provided me his personal cell phone number in case there was ever any other problems. No doctor, dentist, or any medical professional does that these days that I’ve seen. I went back a few weeks later for a regular cleaning. His team took great care of me and he showed me any cavities on my x-rays and walked me through everything. When getting the cavities filled, he was very gentle and careful understanding that I have very sensitive gums and a discomfort being at the dentist. He was finished very quickly and the fillings look and feel great and natural. A few days later, Dr. Woodruff himself called me, after clinic hours, to see how everything had settled in with the fillings since it was the first time he’d done that kind of work on my teeth. I have been blown away by his level or service, caring, and skills as a dentist and his entire team. I finally don’t feel nervous just making the appointment to go to the dentist and it is actually a positive experience! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist.

I just left Dr. Woodruff’s immaculate and totally C-19 focused facility for a dental cleaning with Brooke. Absolutely no reason to wait on your dental services if you come here!! (1) Dispenser to sterilize your hands is outside the entry door (2) staff is masked and reception is behind a plastic screen (3) they sanitize a ballpoint pen before you sign any document! (4) The patient’s dental room is sanitized completely prior to the next patient. (5) the lobby is devoid of any transmitting materials such as magazines, toys, etc.–boring but the extra care is appreciated. The location on the NE corner of Lincoln and Scottsdale Road is easy to find and there is covered parking available.

So professional and caring. I’ve gone to many dental offices over the years, as I’ve moved a lot. They’re by far the best. Everyone, from the front desk, Dr Woodruff himself, the hygienist and dental assistants are all excellent. Lots of parking with easy to access. The office itself is elegant and equipment high end. It looks like prices would be very expensive, but are actually mid-range. They charge the same as schleppy places I’ve gone to, that did mediocre work. I highly recommend this office for any dental work. Totally top notch!

I recently broke a tooth and needed assistance in replacing it. Dr. Woodruff and his staff were kind enough to schedule an appointment for me quickly. They did a thorough job of assessing the health of my teeth and why this particular tooth may have broken. They came up with a treatment plan for my teeth and gave me cost estimates for the plan. And, very importantly, they knew I was leaving town soon for Christmas holiday and worked with the lab to get my appliance quickly and rearranged their schedule to fit me before leaving town. I was able to celebrate the holidays with out a space in the middle of my teeth. I am most grateful and appreciative for the excellent service and, more importantly, the genuine concern they showed me. Dr. Woodruff is ethical, personable, and thorough. He cares about his patients, as does his staff. During COVID-19, he was able to get me in. Due to it not being a big emergency, I had to wait to get a filling, which I know was very hard for him as a professional and amazing dentist. It does not sit right for him to not provide immediate and perfect care. In the past, I had gotten work done that I wasn’t fully satisfied with and he got me back in within a day at no charge. He wants his patients to be healthy and happy. It truly matters to him. I send everyone I know looking for a dentist his way. I’ve been with him for over a decade.

Dr. Woodruff came highly recommended by a prominent Periodontist in Scottsdale years ago and I’ve never gone to anyone else since. I’ve moved away from their practice and still went to Dr. Woodruff for so many reasons, mainly his professionalism, his compassion and truly his artistry as a dentist. I don’t recall how long I have been seeing Dr. Woodruff, as he took over the practice from my previous dentist, but I would guess it’s been somewhere around 12-14 years, and I’ve never regretted it. His practice doesn’t even take my insurance, but I keep coming back year after year because of the amazing treatment and compassion from Dr Woodruff and his staff. My son is not a fan of going to the dentist, and of course always complains and tells me he’s never going back, lol. But his hygienist Carmen has taken great care of my son for the past 18 months, since our long term hygienist retired. I was seen by a new hygienist, Brittany the last time I was there, and saw her today for a second time, and she has been fabulous both times. Dr. Woodruff is always great and super patient with my son, and tries his darnedest to convince him to be better about brushing his teeth (teenagers ) They are always great about scheduling my son and I either at the same time or back to back appointments, so I don’t have to make two trips. At 8:45AM I called the office for the first time with request for an emergency visit. At 10:00AM I was in the dental chair! I’m new in Scottsdale and had time to normally start relationship with a dentist. From cheery staff to really caring dental assistants, and of course the good Doctor himself, this practice shines above all others in the Southwest. Stating that I have a challenging mouth almost trivializes what I have been througj over the years, and Dr Woodruff is the first to be up to the task. Other than an emergency visit I paid to another dentist in DC, he has been the best in my life. Why? Because he is obsessive with his patients’ satisfaction. That and he is very detail oriented throughout the treatment process. Amazing professional, and Phoenix/Scottsdale is lucky to have him.

Another great visit with Dr.woodruff and his crew. Went in to get my second set of Invisalign trays and soooo excited that I’m on my way to have straight teeth and a beautiful smile;) I had braces when I was younger, and my lower teeth shifted oiver time. I didn’t know that I could get them straight again with such a simple process called Invisalign. I hesitated in the past becuase I thought I would have to get traditional braces to get my teeth straight again -No Way was I going to have metal teeth again in my 40s:! Invisalign is so easy! They’re clear trays that you wear throughout the day ,and you can take them out to brush and eat. Most people don’t even know I’m wearing them:) If you have been thinking about getting your teeth straight again ,or never had braces before and would like to get them straight, I would highly recommend Dr.woodruff and his crew to help you get your results with Invisalign! You will kick yourself for not doing it earlier

It was my 2nd time visiting Dr. Woodruff and I must say, I have had an extensive amount of dental work done in the past.. some good, others not so good, never exceptionally amazing until today! NEVER ONCE, have I ever I had a dentist care enough to call me (after his business hours) simply to follow up and see how I was feeling after a procedure. Dr. Woodruff is exceptionally thorough, extremely diligent and vastly knowledgeable in his work. He is honest and someone who I trust. I say “someone” because most dentist I’ve gone too, treat it very transactional and leave with “well, come back when your ready”. Not with Dr. Woodruff, he will sit down with you answer all your question and (my tedious) concerns, will show you (not only on the X-ray) but will take photos to show you the area, demonstrate on paper, so what ever he needs to do, so you feel more comfortable and aware of the reason why. Despite having extensive dental anxiety, Dr. Woodruff and his team our simply outstanding, they put me at ease as soon as I sit down for treatment. I think I’m finally excited to have found a dentist that I trust, but one that is truly exception.

I’ve always had an extremely positive experience in Dr. Woodruff’s office. Lindsay did my cleaning and was extremely gentle and professional. She always checks to make sure I am comfortable. I live in Australia and I purposely schedule my appointments to see Dr. Woodruff and the amazing dental hygienists when I come home for visits. Chelsea at the front desk is speedy and professional. The staff at Woodruff Dental is awesome! The office is very clean, everyone is masked at all times, and they space out the patients so you aren’t around a lot of other people. I had my teeth cleaned by Carmen and she was great – took the time to do a great job and explain what she was doing. I love that Dr. Woodruff takes the time to explain things and is very patient. He is also conservative and doesn’t try to do things when they really don’t need to be done…coming from a practice in CO that was very “agressive” in this approach, I appreciate this. I have always been afraid to go to the dentist because when i got cleanings done they always hurt so much. The first time when I went for my cleaning at Dr. Woodruff’s office, the staff was so nice. It’s hard when you relocate to a new state and have to find all new providers. I was attached to my previous dentist in that I had been his patient for over 15 years. Dr. Woodruff’s office made the transition easy with their professional and kind manner. He gave me virtually 2 new improved front teeth with care and precision. No pain! I have been going to see Dr. Woodruff for the past few years. I have to say that of the dentists that I have been to throughout my life, Dr. Woodruff is by far one of the best. Starting with his office. The atmosphere of the office is not stark, but rather is warm and inviting. For those that are a bit nervous going to see the dentist, this is a welcomed change from other dentist offices. Now to the employees. Every employee that I have dealt with is also warm and inviting. Even when they are busy, each person takes their time with you and helps you feel at ease. And, they are extremely professional and thorough in their respective responsibilities. Finally to Dr. Woodruff. The pictures of Dr. Woodruff on this site, and on his webpage, capture his personality well. He is friendly and open. Again, a welcomed change to other dentists who seem cold and clinical. But, Dr. Woodruff’s friendly attitude does not compensate for lack of expertise; on the contrary. Dr. Woodruff is extremely talented in his field of dentistry and is always increasing his knowledge and techniques to stay current. Overall I give Woodruff Dental a 5-star rating because they deserve it. I have been to their offices numerous times over the past 3-4 years and have never had a bad experience. Personal example. A few years back I had a wisdom tooth break right before Thanksgiving. They scheduled my appointment immediately, and the day before Thanksgiving extracted my wisdom teeth. One of the teeth ended up being impacted and took a lot more work than initially planned. Dr. Woodruff and his team stayed later than we planned the day before a holiday in order to make sure that everything was done well and not rushed. Oh, and last year my mom flew into town to visit and while she was here, her front tooth chipped. Dr. Woodruff was able to get her in immediately, and she has never complained about that tooth since. Thank you Woodruff Dental for being an example of what a professional company with excellent customer service looks like.

I always receive great care from Dr. Woodruff and his team. I’ve been going to Dr. Woodruff for over a decade. I went to him even when I was in graduate school out of state. He’s always very honest, thorough, gentle, and kind. I had to go in during COVID-19, and I was unable to get my filling done due to mandates outside of his control and because I wasn’t in tremendous pain. If I had been, he could have done the procedure. That being said, I know it was challenging for him to not provide the best possible care due to mandates. That’s not how he runs his practice. He is always efficient and takes amazing care of his clients. I look forward to seeing him again when everything is back to normal in the world.

Dr. Woodruff came, read over my past records and carefully looked over today’s X-rays. He then carefully examined each of my teeth and confirmed some problem areas. Woodruff Dental has been very accommodating over the years. Recently, I had a tight window to have an appointment and they were able to squeeze me in. Once I arrived the staff was incredibly friendly, and they completed my cleaning under an hour which exceeded the expectation they had set. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the hygienist paid extra detailed attention to a tooth that was especially dirty. She didn’t settle for good, she worked on cleaning it, moved on to the next cleaning step, then still wasn’t satisfied so she came back to my problem molar until it was shiny and smooth. This met her, and Dr. Woodruff’s high level of excellence and attention to detail. I’ve been coming here for years and the staff has always done excellent work. Even when I have dental questions Dr. Woodruff takes time out of his busy schedule to explain an answer with great detail. I had a consultation today with Dr. Woodruff, plus the office also worked my husband in on an emergency basis. The Dr. spent time examining, and discussing what I thought needed to be done.. I thought that I had a great deal of work to be done. I was relieved to be told that, in fact I did not have to replace many posterior crowns. I did elect to have some work done. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Woodruff and staff this morning. Over the weekend I had a dental emergency when one of my veneers broke off the front tooth. My retired dentist referred me to Dr. Woodruff. I was able to communicate with him and he promptly told me he would meet me in his office on Monday morning to fix my veneer. He and his staff from Chelsea at the front desk to Tina and Debra (back office)were wonderful! Dr Woodruff’s bedside manner and his technical skills were amazing! We absolutely love Dr. Woodruff! He his entire staff are wonderful with our kids, ages 2, 4, and 5. We have a hard time getting our family to appointments and they have always been more than gracious to accommodate our needs (like seeing everyone at the same time or back to back) and they have never been frustrated when we had to reschedule, which is common with kids. They are kind, respectful, and listen well to our concerns and preferences regarding our dental care. We are some of those folks who may opt for other alternative treatments for certain dental issues, and our requests and preferences have always been honored and respected by Dr. Woodruff and his staff. The result is that we trust them completely with our family’s dental health. Also- Dr. Woodruff has personally followed up with us after procedures to see how we or the kids are doing. That is so rare with a dental practice or any medical practice these days! One last note is that their billing staff is great. We’ve changed insurances twice and even realized we had two dental insurances because our kids were covered under a plan we didn’t realize. Before I even had time to sort it all out- his office sent me a check because we had overpaid. I think it was done literally in just a few days! We can’t recommend them enough. Ever single person we’ve sent to their office has said they were so pleased with their care. We couldn’t agree more!

Gabe or Dr. Woodruff, is the best dentist I’ve ever had the pleasure to deal with! I’ve always had bad experiences with dentists which is why I let my teeth go unchecked for 20+ years. I’ve had two crowns installed, one of which was difficult as the decay from my molar was significant in that it had reached the gum line. I was still experiencing pain even after a root canal had been performed prior to the crown placement. I dealt with it for two years as it got worse and worse before I decided to have something done. It began when I came in because I needed a second crown installed on the other side of my mouth. When he had noticed the previous crown, he decided he would fix it by replacing the crown at no cost to me, even though it was my fault that I had procrastinated for two years after the initial install. I no longer suffer from pain in that tooth and both of my crowns look like real teeth… perhaps even better than the originals. After all the cavities and crown work, I have walked away calling him a friend. He even hired me to install the TV in the waiting room. I can’t imagine anyone giving him less than 5 stars!! This dental office has been treating patients for over 40years. In 2007, Dr. Woodruff joined our office to continue quality ethical care to our patients. We take pride in our long history of taking care of patients in our community. Dr. Gabriel Woodruff is an advanced trained general and cosmetic dentist who is dedicated to practicing exceptional dentistry for his patients. Dr. Woodruff graduated from Oregon Health and Science University School of Dentistry with high honors, two clinical awards and was ranked in the top 5% of his class. He was accepted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon; a dental honorary society that inducts dental professionals based on academic and clinical excellence. He was also accepted with honors into the International College of Dentists as well as ranked one of Phoenix Magazine’s Top Dentists in 2015. He has gone beyond the average general dentist's training by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the University of Michigan in all aspects of dentistry including cosmetic dentistry and advanced restorative procedures. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Arizona Dental Association, and Central Arizona Dental Association. He frequently continues his education throughout the country and is also a local member of the Spears Study Club. Dr. Woodruff enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering for the Mission of Mercy. Dr. Woodruff feels strongly about doing his very best for each of his patients and enjoys making his patients look and feel their best.
