Young Amano, DDS is a Wonderful and Caring Dentist. Dr. Amano and his Staff make you feel Welcome, Comfortable and have your Best interests in mind, despite What Tigran and Tania have to say. You will definitely be treated like Family! Dr. Amano is a 5-STAR Dentist. My previous dental office charged me $2000+ for one unnecessary root canal and replaced crowns that weren’t needed. I too have been traumatized re dental visits. However, Dr. Amano has gained my Trust emotionally allowing me to RELAX without drugs under his Gentle Care. Knowing that he is a well-established professional dentist (and then some!) NOT looking to rip you off financially, also guarantees my financial Trust. Dr. Amano LOVES being a Dentist and Caring for his Patients. Thank God for Dr. Young Amano.

The whole staff is professional and friendly. Dr. Amano is equipped with the most current tools of the trade and I feel totally safe in all his decisions about my teeth. As for being open for 3 days of the week, it’s totally workable as they have one day that is a late appointment day. And a top dental hygienist staff! Erica has to be one of the most gentlest to work on my teeth and other hygienist equally as good. Also, Dr. Amano, dental assistants and receptionist – all are awesome! I am not scared to go to the dentist!

I have been a patient of Dr Amano’s for many years he is gentle and very thorough. I really like that he takes his time doing my dental treatments he is never rushed like other offices I have been to. I really like that when I walk in they know who I am I feel like family not like a number. Dr Amanos staff is friendly and professional. I am a new patient at Dr. Amanos office he was highly recommended by my best friend and she has been a patient of his for over 20 years! I was very nervous but he put me at ease he explained everything to me and made me feel right at home. My dental treatment was painless and his prices are fair. During my routine exam, Dr. Amano found that my crown needed to be replaced. When I returned for this work I was a little apprehensive but the Dr. has so refined his topical anaesthesia that the injection to numb my took could not be felt. AMAZING!!!. Even more amazing was that he was able to numb just the tooth not my gum, not my cheek, not my tongue. He numbed only where he had to work. If you are at all not looking forward to the discomfort of dental work this is the place to go.

I’d never been comfortable in a dentist’s office in my life until I saw Dr. Amano. I went in with a mouth full of needed replacement crowns and a root canal or two (no mention of my previous dentist is necessary), and within six months my mouth was in terrific shape and my fear was completely gone. The folks who work in the office are like family (special mention to Ro), Dr. Amano never makes you feel rushed or in the way, I simply can’t say enough good things. Know that while his prices are more than fair, but he’s worth his weight in gold where your teeth are concerned.

I have been seeing Dr. Amano since 2006. I came to him after visiting quite a few dentists here in the Los Angeles area. I was referred to him, through a friend and I have been super happy here at the office. The ENTIRE staff is wonderful, really friendly, and helpful. The problem I had with other offices was that I felt like they were trying to sell me SO many things, I left feeling unsettled. With Dr. Amano, he took his time to look at my x-rays, talk to me about my treatment plan…and we proceeded from there. I never felt any pressure and I felt like I was in total control of my dental health. Since seeing him, my three children also see him..2 of them needed fillings for a cavity, and both were put at ease by himself and his assistant (and Lori, the front office manager)…explaining the process to them. So without a hitch, they were both comfortable, didn’t even feel any injections..and left with their cavities taken care of. A big plus, is that the office offers new patients free whitening! I am thankful for finding him, and his office…I would recommend him to ANYONE that needed a dentist.

I have been to plenty of dentists and Dr. Amano and his staff are among the most pleasant and honest I have ever come across. The office staff bent over backwards to get my daughter appointment times that worked with our schedule and were so compassionate with my daughter. My daughter is 15 and had a biking accident and had to have a front veneer put in – drama for anyone, but major drama for a 15 year old girl! Dr. Amano is truly a dentist you can trust; he is honest and is very talented in his field – and a nice man too! This was a referral for us and I am so glad he did the work on my daughter – my insurance did not cover this so we could of went anywhere. I would not hesitate to refer Dr. Amano and is staff to anyone.

I’ve been going to Dr. Amano for several years now and I have only wonderful things to say about him and his staff. My friend Scott referred my mother to Dr Amano a few years ago. She was in her 80’s then. He is great! He has taken care of her teeth with regular check-ups and repairs. He encourages her, provides treatment plans that are tailored to her needs and her budget (as one of the greatest generation, she has no insurance), and always welcomes her to his office. I was a patient of a very bad dentist at Garfield avenue, Alhambra. When I met my bf, Jason, a few years ago, he told me about Dr. Young Amano’s office & the excellent service he had been receiving. He introduced me to Dr. Young Amano & his staff’s; Lori & her daughter (Brad – not sure how to spell her name.. LOL), and Valerie also Rosie. They were all very nice, helpful, caring, gentle on me. They offered all the care they think I need, but not forcing it on me. This dental office is very clean, comfy & not giving me the eerie feeling like other places. Anyway, I have been a loyal patient of them for over 3 yrs now. I never will go to other dental office anymore. When I was unemployed over a yr ago, they (especially Valerie; my tooth fairy/dental hygienist) even tried to help me to get a new job. They made me feel like I’m a family member. For that, they just earned very high points from me, even though it was irrelevant, but it was very important and meant a lot to me. My suggestion is; go check this place out, you will NOT be dissapointed! Thank you Dr. Amano & all the awesome ladies there!

I have regained my confidence in dentist. I had a traumatic experience as a child which left me terrified of dentist( A dentist pulled a couple of teeth without me being completely numb) until I met Dr Amano, he explained everything to me he never rushed me into treatment, he educated me and gave me different options. I had neglected my teeth for so long .. I had a tooth ache and a good friend of mine told me about Dr. Amano and I’m so glad I went to see him. He has done 2 root canals and I didn’t’ feel any pain. He did other treatment and I am very pleased with my results. I can smile with confidence something I haven’t done in years. I want to save my teeth. My mother and grandmother both had dentures, I am determined to have all my teeth well into my life.
I never thought I would be talking about a positive dental experience and here I am. I didn’t have insurance and they provided me with care credit 24 months at 0%. This office has gone above and beyond to help me with my fears and to make it affordable for me Dr Amono said “you can’t eat an elephant in one seating but you can a bite at a time” and believe me I have had so much treatment because of my neglect. Dr Amano saved my teeth he was very conservative and placed fillings where I was recommended crowns. I will be eternally grateful to him!! I feel welcomed at Dr Amanos office all the girls are friendly and very knowledgeable (my previous office never even bothered to greet or look up at me just the general check in list). Dr Amanos fees are less than previous dentist I have been to. I just couldn’t find the right fit where I felt comfortable that however has changed now with my dental family at Dr. Amanos office. I was talking to another patient at my last dental visit he has been with Dr Amano for over 25 years!!! I hope Im lucky enough to say the same.

I was highly recommended to go to Dr. Young Amano to get Invisaligns as oppose to wearing wire braces. I’m so delighted with the results. I come down from Big Bear Lake and everyone is very accommodating and so helpful with all my questions and appointments. My hygienist is the best. I was so pleased to have found Dr. Amano back in the 90’s. I moved to Mendocino, CA over 7 years ago and did try a local dentist. After that experience I have been driving 10 hours each way to see Dr. Amano who I TRUST! Dr. Amano takes the time to explain the procedures and he answers all my questions until I am clear about what is going on. He is gentle, keeps current and most of all he is meticulous in his work. Dr. Amano’s hygienists do a thorough cleaning. I feel like my mouth has been “detailed”. Lori at the front desk makes me feel like we are best friends while still maintaining professionalism. I know some may not understand my loyalty and the expense and time involved in my trips to Burbank. You only get one set of permanent teeth and the investment is worth it to me. Dr. Amano, please don’t retire any time soon!

Especially when it comes to caring for my four year old when she is done with her checkup and I am still getting my teeth cleaned. Insurance has changed much over the years, but our family will not change dentists. I also appreciate Dr. Amano’s knowledge of chemistry in general (he has a phd in this area) and his willingness to offer input with all of my questions. I have been seeing Dr. Amano for 3 years and he is the best dentist I have seen, and I am an old guy 🙂 his techs do a great job, cleaning my teeth with very little pain. Dr. Amano has taken care of some old fillings and the procedures seemed through and vertically pain free. I have not had any problems with the new fillings. But the main thing about Dr. Amano is his consults. He takes the time to give you all your options and will go over each in detail. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Amano is amazing. Recently I was going on a trip out of the country. It was Saturday night at 8:00 and I was scheduled to leave on Sunday at 11:30. As I was packing, I was having a snack and I was horrified to find that one of my molars had broken. It was a severe break and I knew that this tooth could ruin the vacation that I had been planning for two years. I began to panic at that point. I had no choice but to call my dental office emergency number. At 8:30 on a Saturday night, I was very surprised to be connected directly to Dr. Amano. His first response was, “Are you in pain?” Dr. Amano set up an appointment for me on Sunday morning, calling in his wonderful assistant to help. In 45 minutes he was able to repair my tooth enough to allow me to go on my trip and he set up a follow-up appointment for when I returned. I thanked him with tears in my eyes; I could not believe that he was willing and able to fix my tooth on a Sunday morning. His response, “Well of course I would take care of you, you are my patient.”
I am happy to say, I have been a patient of Dr. Amano for about 12 years. I have always had major dental issues and had seen various dentists before coming to Dr. Amano. The care that I have received in this office far exceeds any that I had ever experienced elsewhere. He puts his patients needs first, and is there when you have an emergency. He is a family dentist and has taken care of my children since they were very young, taking special care to ease the pain during a filling or extracting a baby-tooth that would not fall out. I highly recommend Dr. Amano to all of my friends and family. HE CARES!

I came to Dr. Amano after a dentist from Canyon Country was trying to replace all of my teeth with crowns. I went to Dr. Amano and he said my teeth were healthy and I didn’t need crowns. One time, I broke my tooth in the back from biting a See’s candy lollipop. He said it was cosmetic and it didn’t require any unnecessary work.Amazing! It is so difficult to find an honest dentist, like Dr. Amano! His staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. Customer service is awesome. I had always been afraid to get my teeth cleaned, because other places have cut me, made my gums bleed and my teeth hurt after the deep cleaning… Sandy is thee best Dental Hygentist! No pain, clean teeth and I always look forward to coming back for the next visit, as do my children.
