We offer all orthodontic treatment options including Invisalign, clear and metal mini braces, as well as activated retainer systems. We offer late evening and early morning appointments to work around our patients' school and work schedules. We have flexible payment options and plans to maximize your insurance and health account benefits. Dr. Zachary was born and raised in Southern California. In 1990, he graduated with bachelor degrees in Biology and Social Ecology from the University of California at Irvine. In 1994 he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California. Dr. Zachary then completed a general practice residency at the University of California at San Francisco in 1996. He went on to complete a specialized degree in orthodontics, with top honors, from New York University in 1998. Highly regarded in his professional community, Dr. Zachary holds memberships in the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, California Dental Association and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics. Dr. Zachary met his wife, Trish at UC Irvine, and they married in 1992. They have three boys: Brody, Riley and Adler. They live in Laguna Niguel and spend time together enjoying the beach communities. In my office, we believe in treating you like family, so here’s what I think you should know, as you consider your options for orthodontic treatment. I absolutely love what I do. I spend most of my working hours creating beautiful smiles. I meet terrific new families every week. I have fun getting to know people as I visit with them regularly over the span of a year or two. The kids tend to mature quite a bit during their time with us, and as their teeth move into place, I watch their confidence grow. The excitement builds as the treatment completion date approaches. When that day comes, our patients are beaming and blushing and we take a moment to celebrate this incredibly special milestone. One mom recently told me that she only vividly remembers three days in her life: her wedding day, the birth of her child, and the day we took her braces off. And to think- I get to be a part of such a memorable occasion regularly! I work in the company of exceptional staff members who are not only highly skilled and professional, but also genuinely kind, caring, creative and fun. They are my family away from home. We take care of each other, and the fact that 5 of my team members have been with the practice for over 20 years, and several more have been with us for more than 14 years, says a lot about our team unity and means a lot to me. Our patients pick up on that and unquestionably enjoy coming to our office. Look at our reviews and you will find certain words describing our office consistently such as; kind, caring, professional, enthusiastic, friendly, welcoming, just to name a few. Most often, parents come to us for a consultation as a result of a friend’s referral. After their initial consultation, they feel comfortable here and are excited to begin treatment for their child. After a few appointments, they look forward to coming in, grabbing a coffee and visiting with us, and then… a light bulb goes on. They wonder if they should finally consider correcting that tooth that bothers them in photos. Could they finally talk their husband into straightening his teeth? One of my greatest pleasures is to help people realize, “I’m worth it!” We all want to take care of ourselves; we’re all trying to eat healthier, and stay in shape, but it can be hard to put yourself at the top of the list. Some people think it’s too expensive. (It’s not. We’ll work with you-we have flexible options, I promise.) Some people think they’re too old. (You’re not! One of my happiest patients perfected her smile at age 72!) I believe that your smile is the most important part of your presentation. Your smile has the power to radiate your warmth, your confidence, and your strength at first impression. It truly is your greatest asset. A side note: We’d love to meet you, of course, but whoever you choose, please be sure that the doctor is a certified specialist in Orthodontics. It requires 2-3 years of specialized training in an accredited orthodontic residency program. Consider this parallel: Just as you go to an OB to deliver your baby, you also want a specialist to straighten your teeth.
