I enjoy all my visits to this office. Since I have been going here, it has been the same staff so every time I return it’s like seeing old friends. Everyone is extremely friendly and reassuring from the moment I walk in to the moment I walk out. I really like the fact that they have good availability for appointments and everything is new and clean. They also offer little extras to make you feel more comfortable if necessary. One of my big concerns when going to the dentist or doctor is being told that I’m doing everything wrong, but no one here ever makes me feel embarrassed or ashamed. They explain everything thoroughly and have good medical devices that help the overall health of your mouth. I definitely plan on seeing Dr. Rahimi for years to come.

Got referred to Dr. Rahimi from a friend. Dr. Rahimi squeezed us in last minute. My husband has a cracked tooth and was extremely in pain. He walked us through each of our options, taking into account my husband’s lack of dental insurance! Dr. Rahimi is also very willing to work with us, knowing we are paying out of pocket. Dr. Rahimi is one of the best dentists in San Francisco. I have been going to his office for about a year. He and his staff are just outstanding. Everyone is friendly and caring and he is just great at making me feel comfortable. Dr. Rahimi is very professional, treats me with care and respect, and makes me feel like I am his only patient. With all the stress that I have had with my dentists in the past, I am so pleased that I found him. Here’s one small example of how Dr. Rahimi goes above and beyond to help. I had several teeth that were sensitive due to wear and recession. My previous dentist did not do much to try and fix them. He attempted to place some fillings but they came off after a couple of months. I had been seeing him for over 20 years and he did not attempt to re-do them or even find another solution to my problem. Dr. Rahimi was able to do four fillings in one session and match the shade perfectly to my teeth. I no longer have any sensitivity in those areas. It’s hard to believe I can have something fixed that well in that short amount of time, let alone something inside of my mouth! Many thanks Dr. Rahimi, you did a great job and went far beyond the call of duty. I am very glad to be your patient!

This review is long overdue. I’ve been on Dr. Rahimi’s care since 2016-2017. He is the best dentist that I ever had. He is extremely friendly, honest and really care about his patient. He’s very knowledgeable about his work and will explain it to you the procedure(s) in a simple way that you will understand. I hate to leave his care due to my change of dental insurance and the distance on his office, but if only if they accept my insurance. I will get my cleaning over there in a heartbeat. So, if you are looking for a great dentist, go with Dr. Rahimi. He will make you feel welcome and comfortable.

Dr. Rahimi’s office is by far the best dental office I’ve ever been to. I always feel so comfortable and well taken care of. I was able to book a new patient appointment online, which was super convenient since I cannot call the office during work hours (you can also text them too!). The staff is all very friendly and nice. I am greeted with warm salutations and smiles as I arrive or depart the office. Dr. Rahimi has been very informative of what is happening with my gums and teeth. Also, he is very detailed with the procedures he is performing. I feel very comfortable in his hands. It is hard to find a good dentist that you feel safe with and I glad I have found one with Dr. Rahimi.

I came here for an Invisalign consultation because Dr. Rahimi had an incredible promotional price. Before I went in, I felt a bit weird about going to another dentist when I already had one (where they charged a much higher price for Invisalign); it was as if I was being unfaithful to my spouse or something. Fortunately, Dr. Rahimi was incredibly friendly and understanding and always respectfully referred to my current dentist as “your dentist”, and made me feel ok about seeing him and working with him in parallel to having other dental work done with my own dentist. He’s one cool dude and definitely recommend!

I’ve been at this office for the past two years for my Invisalign treatment and it has been an amazing experience. I don’t get that uneasy feeling that you normally get when you visit the dentist, but instead it feels like a family here. Dr. Rahimi and his staff are very welcoming and actually remembers who I am. Everyone here is very welcoming and professional with what they do, from the front desk to the assistants to the dentists. Each played a significant part in my journey and I couldn’t be any happier with the results. I was a bit nervous in the beginning, but Dr. Rahimi really took the effort and his time to explain everything in depth. I really appreciate and respect the staff’s great service. I was referred here by a co-worker while looking for a dentist to fix a big chip on my front tooth. So I decided to give them a call and was able to make an appointment for the next day. When I arrived at the office, I thought I would have to wait at least an hour to see Dr. Rahimi since one patient was being treated while another was in the waiting room, but I was wrong. I was immediately called in for my cleaning with the hygienist. After she was done (she did quite a thorough job I might add), I was brought in for my exam and x-rays. Before I knew it, my front tooth was fixed and I was walking out the door! An efficient in and out visit for such a sudden appt. Not only that, but Dr. Rahimi and his staff were extremely helpful. I had just switched insurance companies and they made sure everything was verified before I walked in so that I wouldn’t waste my time and end up with a huge bill after the fact. I won’t be switching dentists anytime soon.

Great customer service throughout the office. Dr. Rahimi and his staff are efficient and professional. I have really sensitive teeth because of my receding gums. Teeth cleanings can be excruciating at times especially along those areas closer to the exposure. Dr. Rahimi took the time to listen attentively to my concerns, and explained my options thoroughly. I ended up opting for the numbing agent during the cleaning, and he checked frequently during the cleaning to ask about my my pain level. His genuine concern put me at ease. Having been to different dentists, this was the first experience where I wasn’t white knuckling during the cleaning ordeal, and I felt he truly respected my concerns. I will definitely be coming back! I highly recommend Dr. Rashimi to anybody who has anxiety associated with going to the dentist. He will definitely take care of you and your teeth!

I had the chance to visit this dental office recently after hearing about it through a referral from my friend. I was amazed at how the staff at this clinic were so friendly and courteous as well as efficient and effective at everything. I had been in a lot of tooth pain and was in dire need of treatment. I called this office and they fit me in as early as possible as an emergency patient. Upon entering the clinic, I was greeted by the dentist and receptionist who warmly welcomed me. Dr. Rahimi took me to the back for my exam. He went over the X-rays and carefully explained to me what needed to be done. During the procedure, Dr. Rahimi continually asked me if I was ok or uncomfortable in any way. However, the whole process went smoothly. The pain that I came in with was completely resolve once the procedure was completed. He told me that I would need some antibiotics after my procedure which the receptionist called into my pharmacy to prepare. The entire exam and dental treatment were very efficient. I never had to wait long for any part of my visit. Not only am I grateful for the office fitting me in under such short notice, I am glad that my problem was resolved by a dentist that was personable and professional throughout the process.

I could probably say 5 pages of positive things about Dr. Rahimi, but since no one reads really long reviews I will try to keep this as short as possible… After an accident as a kid where I broke my 2 front teeth, what was left of them was capped, and have been for almost 20 years. Dr Rahimi met me as an emergency client after the natural tooth under one of the caps broke, leaving me with a missing front tooth, and a whole lot of childhood trauma coming to the surface. From the first appointment he has been extremely knowledgeable, incredibly efficient, and unbelievably kind. His assistant Aida (hope I’m spelling that right) is sweet & amazing as well. They have worked with my anxiety, and worked around my difficult schedule. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone, and this is coming from someone who has always hated trips to the dentist.

While I was visiting my family in the Bay Area, I ended up needing to see a dentist due to some severe pain on a tooth. My parents referred me here and I’m glad they did! I called and left a message (not expecting a call back until Monday) and was suprised and thankful to receive a call back on Sunday evening. They set me up for an appointment the following morning. Dr. Rahimi made me feel comfortable and at ease. He explained everything that was going to be done prior to starting treatment and quickly helped me get out of the pain I was having. Dr. Rahimi is fantastic. I hadn’t been to the dentist in about 4 years due to lack of dental insurance and when I came to see Dr. Rahimi my teeth weren’t in the best of shape. I had a very deep cavity I was worried had hit the nerve and he was able to save the tooth. His manner is very professional throughout the entire process and he always makes sure to constantly check in on you and make sure you’re comfortable and doing okay throughout the procedure. The rest of his staff is also very helpful throughout teeth cleaning, X-rays, etc. and always make you feel very comfortable. They even take care of your metered parking during your visit which is a nice bonus. I highly recommend.

I had gone to the same dentist in my hometown my entire life. After moving, I had neglected finding a new dentist. Not so recently, two of my crowns fell off. It was difficult for me to keep going to my original dentist to reattach, and in any case they kept coming off. I had since lost them. My coworkers in San Francisco referred me to their dentists, but I found each dentist’s pricing to be a little expensive. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Rahimi. His rate for replacing each crown was $400 less than what other dentist’s had quoted me, so I decided to go with him. He replaced the crowns in 2 visits: the first visit to prep the teeth and take the molds and the second visit to put on the crowns. I was very pleased with his services. First, he schedules appointments on the weekends. He even scheduled me at 6:45am before his usual first appointment. Next, his office was in a nice area with a decent amount of street parking. His office itself was nice, cleanly and his receptionist was nice. The procedure room had a large flat screen television, and I watched television the entire procedure. I was impressed with his knowledge and skill. He had tools that I do not think my old dentist ever used. He also prescribed me prescription toothpaste for sensitive teeth, which was a nice extra touch. After 2 visits, I had both my crowns replaced, and they have been on ever since. I would definitely recommend Dr. Rahimi.

I was lucky to find Dr. Rahimi on yelp. I was in San Francisco visiting my in-laws for the week. One of my crowns broke off during dinner causing so much pain and discomfort that I had to see someone right away. I called the office and they were able to schedule me immediately. The staff was warm and inviting which helped put me to ease. Dr. Rahimi examined my tooth and explained my options, keeping in mind that I was only there for a week. He was able to resolve my pain and discomfort quickly and efficiently. He’s been great for regular checkups and painless fillings. His staff is top-notch and they are incredibly friendly, thorough, and professional. I’ve been looking for a new dentist since I moved from the South bay to San Francisco. Dr. Rahimi came highly recommended by another friend and the other day I had some worrying gum canker sores near my teeth that went on for weeks. I decided to book an appointment and everything went smoothly. He told me not to worry, that they were just regular canker sores that were probably caused by some type of sharp/hard food that created these trauma spots. I thought hard, and realised I had been eating a lot of crabs lately. Dr. Rahimi was super nice and calming during the appointment. The process of establishing care in Dr. Rahimi’s office was easy enough, and his office was certainly an upgrade from what I was used to. I recently saw Dr. Rahimi and his team and had a really good experience. Before I went into the office, they texted me with my appointment details and a link to fill out my health history. I had braces when I was sixteen. And like every sixteen year old, I didn’t wear my retainers. So to get those years back, I decided to get invisalign. Making an appointment was a breeze. On the day of my appointment, I was running a little late and called in to let Dr. Rahimi and his staff know. They told me not to worry and that they’ll see me when I get there. I pulled onto Sacramento St, and quickly found a metered parking spot. I thought parking was going to be a little challenging but didn’t find it to be an issue at all. The office also fills your meter for you. Just let them know where you parked on the street. Dr. Rahimi introduced himself, took his time to explain exactly what he would be doing, and addressed all questions I had. He was very gentle and always asked if I was doing okay. It was quick and painless. I’m about 3 months into my invisalign treatment and couldn’t be happier. I can definitely feel my teeth getting straighter and can’t wait to see the end results.

I was in alot of pain even though i took advil. During this covid-19, i couldt get anyone to take me in. Luckily i knew a family friend that reommended us to Dr. Rahimi. He is kind, patient, and very efficient. He told me that i needed to remove my two far bottom wisdom teeth and was able to get me in the next day. It took only 5 minutes for two teeth to be removed. I love Dr Rahimi and his office staff. Everybody is super cordial and personable. I usually come in for the routine teeth cleaning but my most recent visit was for an Invisalign consultation. Dr Rahimi was super cool about it. I don’t have really crooked teeth but a few of my teeth are not as straight as I would like. He didn’t make me feel silly about it and I appreciate the fact that he took it as seriously as I did. He was quite thorough when explaining the process, the cost and what to expect after the Invisalign treatment. It is rare to find such a good, personable, down to earth, and friendly doctor/dentist. I must say that Dr Rahimi and his staff are amazing. I have been going to this dental office for a little over 2 years and all of my visits have been nothing short of excellent. They are super courteous and always on time. My most recent visit was for an invisalign consultation. The staff was great to both my daughter and me. Unfortunately, my sitter flaked and I was stuck with bringing my little one to the appointment. She cried through the whole visit (45 min total) , screaming at the top of her lungs at times. Dr. Rahimi and his assistant didn’t make me feel bad and they did their best to accommodate my little girl. They even empathized with me and told me it was ok. I felt awful that I had to subject the whole staff to such loud noises but I really did not want to miss my appointment.

I have been seeing Dr Rahimi for over five years and he has performed excellent dental treatment, such as tooth fillings, removal of cavities, and crown replacement. I first got his professional advice after my previous dentist wanted to extract a tooth. Dr. Rahimi presented the various options, and I decided not to extract the tooth, which is doing just fine up to this date! Dr Rahimi only does the minimum dental work that is needed to prolong the teeth’s health. He clearly explains the work he will do on the tooth, answers questions in an easy-to-understand manner, is efficient and diligent with his work and seems to care about his patients. The front desk manager, hygienist and dentist assistant are very helpful and excellent professionals.

I recently moved to SF and procrastinated on selecting a new dentist since I have a very strong eversion to the “dentist”. But my rear molar cracked and I HAD to get it fixed. I went on YELP and saw the great reviews on Dr A and his staff and cold called them. They saw me the very next day I had to have a ton of added painkillers cause it was so jacked up. Dr A was understanding of my dentist issues and checked in frequently. He spent nearly two hours prepping the molar for a temp (where most other dentists would have had it done in an hour) but I greatly appreciated the extra care Oh this was the afternoon before Thanksgiving! Great dentist and staff. I now have a SF dentist! I would highly recommend this dentist.

Like lots of people, going to the dentist isn’t on your list of fun activities, but Dr. Rahimi makes going to the dentist a good experience (which is not an easy thing to do). I just had my annual teeth cleaning and x-rays. The technicians in the office were very gentle and really nice. Dr. Rahimi has such an easy-going, calm demeanor and he explained everything to me in detail so I felt very relaxed and that I was in good hands. He didn’t try to convince me to get things done to my teeth that weren’t necessary at this time. I’ve experienced this in the past with other dentists. He gave me advice on what to keep an eye on in the future in order to keep my teeth healthy. If you’re looking for an honest, professional dentist, he’s right here!

I would recommend Dr. Rahimi in a heartbeat! I contact this office 5 days before my wedding. I wanted to get a whitening session to ensure my pearl whites were at their whitest. Dr. Rahimi was able to order the products and see me the following day! Not only was he very friendly and very responsive, he was honestly compassionate. He expressed concern over my health and well being and explained to me several times that teeth whitening requires a couple of days for the gums to recover. While I was in his office, I also got a cleaning. The dental hygienist was super friendly and very gentle. She would check on me occasionally to make sure there weren’t any pain or discomforts. The office was clean. The staff was very nice. Dr. Rahimi even offered to have his staff refill the parking meter so my parking meter doesn’t run out of time. I would strongly recommend coming here!

First, can I say I am pleased with the invisalign consultation with Dr. Rahimi! I made an appointment last month on a weekend for an invisalign consultation. Upon my arrival, I was greeted with a friendly smile and we discussed about my concerns and reason for wanting invisalign. We did talk about braces at some point because this was my first time getting anything like this done but that would be later since we won’t know after the invisalign results. Dr. Rahimi then took impressions of my teeth 3 times, which was the only painful and non exciting part but that’s something that can’t be avoided since it was a part of the process. After he was done, we then discussed about how long it might take for the results to come back and that he will contact me to discuss about my case once he finds outs. I received a call from Dr. Rahimi today regarding about my results and I was really impressed and pleased with what we discussed about. Braces will be out of the question since it looked like my teeth were fine for invisalign. Dr. Rahimi explained to me thoroughly about my case and if I decide to go through with invisalign then it would only take less than a year to have the results that I want. He has been very professional in everything and also addressing my questions and concerns. I felt that he truly cared about my concerns for my teeth and was very honest at times to give his opinion on what he felt would be best for me. After my discussion with Dr. Rahimi, I felt confident and comfortable with the treatment and plan that I decided to go through with invisalign. I am excited and can not wait to see the end results. The office was located in Presidio Heights which was in the nicer area of SF. Parking may be a bit difficult but since it was on a weekend that I had gone to see him, it was eithwr a hit or miss with parking and luckily I didn’t really have an issue. SF is known to be a meter city so have your quarters/ coins in handy since the area is metered. The office itself was nice and cozy.

On my quest for perfect teeth, I decided Invisalign was the way to go. I quickly locked down an appointment with Dr. Rahimi for my consultation. Getting an appointment was fairly easy and they were flexible with my schedule. Parking is not a problem either. I usually can find free 2 hour parking in the neighborhood, but in the case that you’re at a meter, you can just let them know where you parked, and they will feed the meter for you! The office is nice and clean, and the service is fast and friendly. Dr. Rahimi definitely knows what he’s doing and the dental hygienist is super sweet. The office is equipped with new equipment and there’s a big flat screen so you can watch Food Network (or any show of your choice!) during your appointment. I’m halfway done with my Invisalign and I can’t wait to see my results! Thank you Dr. Rahimi for helping me achieve perfect pearly whites!

This review is long overdue! My first experience with Dr. Rahimi started from a toothache I was having on a Saturday. I didn’t have a dentist in the city and was searching for a dentist that could help. I reached out on a Saturday morning and got an immediate response and had an appointment for first thing Monday morning. I was scheduled to fly to Chicago that Wednesday and was nervous that the pain would come back. Dr. Rahimi not only gave me a prescription to help with any pain I may feel on the trip, but also contacted one of his dental school colleagues who was now a practicing dentist in Chicago. He sent the dentist my X-rays and let them know that I may be calling during my trip if I had any issues. Who does that?! Dr. Rahimi and his staff are so friendly and I feel lucky that I found him! Unfortunately, my insurance changed and Dr. R is no longer an accepted provider 🙁 Do yourself a favor and make an appointment with him!

Like most, I’m not a huge fan of going to the dentist. Dr. Rahimi is an exception. The office is tidy and clean and the entire staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and gentle with cleaning my teeth. He also did a great job in recommending ways to floss/brush and also ordered a great automatic toothbrush that I was able to pick up. A lot of dentists operate through fear but Dr. Rahimi is not one of them. I’ve recommended several friends to visit the office and they’ve all been extremely satisfied!

I’ve been going to see Dr. Rahimi for the past year and his office and staff are amazing. Every time I walk in Tatiana, the receptionist, always greets me with a smile and asks me how my day is. She makes me feel so comfortable and important, even when they’re busy. Sometimes when that’s the case, I just grab myself a magazine and relax in their clean and modern waiting area. Dr. Rahimi is very gentle and I always feel relaxed when he’s working on my teeth. I can tell that he’s very thorough by the amount of time he spends on me and it never feels like he’s being rushed. He’s also very caring and always asks me if I’m doing okay or feeling any pain. Most importantly, he always remembers my name and the things we talk about. I’ve been coming here for the past year and it’s been pleasant every time I set foot inside the office. Dr. Rahimi is very gentle and I always feel relaxed when he’s working on my teeth. I can tell that he’s very thorough by the amount of time he spends on me and it never feels like he’s being rushed. He’s also very caring and always asks me if I’m doing okay or feeling any pain. Most importantly, he always remembers my name and the things we talk about. There’s also minimal wait times. I’m always seen 5 to 10 minutes from my appointment time if not sooner.

Welcome to the Pacific Heights dental office of Dr. Afshin Rahimi. We are conveniently located at 2007 Divisadero Street, San Francisco, CA. We have taken the time to carefully assemble a team of highly skilled and experienced dental professionals. Most members of our team have been with us for years and enjoy getting to know our patients and understand their unique needs and wants. Our team is dedicated to staying on top of the latest developments in dentistry in order to provide our patients with advanced, state-of-the-art dental care. Dr. Rahimi is a Bay Area native. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Dr. Rahimi then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While at Tufts, he earned the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Award. Following dental school, Dr. Rahimi furthered his education by completing a one-year general practice residency at the Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY. He has continued to take courses that have enhanced his clinical and dental knowledge. Dr. Rahimi has trained at the World Clinical Laser Institute for soft tissue surgical and periodontal applications. He has also completed advanced courses in implantology with the world-renowned Trinon Collegium Practicum. When Dr. Rahimi is not at the office, he enjoys surfing, playing golf, and rooting for the Golden State Warriors and San Francisco 49ers.
