I was also so insecure about smiling and hated when someone told me to do so. That was until I got braces. Going to Aloha changed my life. The entire staff is friendly and always positive when you walk in there. I never had a bad experience. Each visit Dr.C checks the work to make sure the assistants are doing their work and always knows what’s right. The entire staff is always learning or has something to do. When going here about a year a half ago I never would’ve thought getting braces would be amazing. Getting braces from Aloha Orthodontics was one of the best decisions I could’ve made. It made me not want to get my braces off I wanted to keep them because they weren’t uncomfortable at all. All of the staff makes sure you’re okay and comfortable so that everything is perfect for you.

So, after about two and a half years of Invisalign, I am done with the treatment. I am not going to say “finally” done with the treatment, because that sounds as if it was a pain, and it was far from that. The experience couldn’t have been any better. Here’s my story: Sometime near 1988 or so, I had traditional braces, the new clear(er) ceramic type that were less visible than the chrome steel look that many orthodontic braces were being made of back then. I didn’t have too bad of an experience and it was obviously with another doctor. Two years of monthly visits to change the bands and wires and I was done. My mistake was not wearing the provided retainer every night as I should have. So about three or four years ago, I was noticing a bit of movement in my two upper front teeth, which was causing me to occasionally bite my lower lip when I ate. I thought about braces again, but didn’t really know if I actually wanted to go through the process. The lip biting was aggravating, so I decided to go ahead and consider my options. My search began for an orthodontist and Yelp was the resource I used. I figured, if I was going to have to go there monthly (as I did in the past), I wanted somewhere close to where I live. Aloha Orthodontics popped up in the search as being fairly close, so I made an appointment. Counting on fellow Yelpers for help, I also looked for the negative reviews and found none. Every single review was 5 stars!! I thought, no way, every business on Yelp has a bad review. Nope. Not Aloha Orthodontics. Not then, anyway. Major plus at that point. So my appointment day came and on the first day I went into the office, the experience was made very comfortable for me. I could tell everyone in the office seemed to be happy with being there and I could hear a guy, who I would later find out was Dr Chelian, running around the treatment room having friendly conversations with the patients and his staff and treating and conducting examinations on his patients. I could also tell he was a very busy guy. This was encouraging. So the process was explained to me, preliminary examinations were done, future appointments were made, and I was back in for orthodontic braces again. This time, however, after my treatment options were explained, I chose Invisalign. The big difference with Invisalign- I didn’t have to come back every month and I could eat what I wanted for every meal. My return schedule was more like every three months, so that was good. But every visit, it felt like I was a friend seeing friends, and every visit was just as good as the last. I never had any concerns about my treatment, the cleanliness of the facilities, or the competency of anyone there. So as the months went by, I could tell the process was working and my teeth were getting back to where they needed to be. At a point I thought I was done, which was about two years after I started, Dr C said (well something like), “Nope. I am not satisfied and I can do better.” He wanted me to leave with perfection (well as close to that as it can be with me anyway), and did some minor refinements to get it to the point he wanted it to and where I would be happier with. I was already, but perfectionism is obviously a good thing for an orthodontist to have. The refinements were perfect. So my treatment is done there, but the experience will not be forgotten. This time, I will wear my retainer though. The point of this long and boring story (to some of you, haaa) is this: Aloha Orthodontics would be the first place I would go back to if I needed to do it again (hopefully I won’t :-)) and the first place I would recommend to anyone else needing an orthodontist (I have). Another thing about me is that I am far older (late 50’s) than most of his patients, but apparently teeth straitening procedures aren’t just for kids. I am incredibly happy with the results, all of my teeth are straight/aligned again, and the best thing for me, my lower lip isn’t swollen from the constant biting anymore. Aloha Orthodontics is truly a special place. From the moment you walk in, there are a ton of comfy seats in the spacious waiting room, and the whole office is Hawaiian themed, which is great for relaxation. You are immediately greeted with friendly (smiling) people behind the front desk. Music is playing in the background for the whole office, and the staff appears genuinely happy, including Dr. Chelian. Dr. Chelian is caring, fun, and a true professional. He strives to do his best work on behalf of all his patients. Aloha thrives as a direct result of the true camaraderie and supportive nature of its staff members. It is obvious that the staff members love working for Dr. Chelian, and strive to please. I have seen many satisfied patients leave reviews/feedback on his page, and that is enough testimony for me to want my children to be seen by him (should they require orthodontic services in the future). If you want to be transported to Hawaii while having dental work done by a highly skilled orthodontist who cares for your well-being, then Aloha is for you!

I was referred to Aloha through my dentist Dr Flores. They happen to be in the same shopping center so after I left the dentist one day I ran over to schedule a consult at Aloha for Invisalign. The office was empty when I arrived (granted it was close to them closing) except for the few ladies at the desk. They had said Dr Chelian was at the other office location but they called him and said if id like, they could do my photos, and initial consult and emailed everything over to Dr.C to review. I was able to get rockin and rollin on my Invisalign scans and a timeline and payment plan for my treatment! I dropped in just to schedule a consult and they had gone above and beyond my expectations! Aloha Ortho is such a wonderful, professional yet friendly and personable ortho office. This is by far the best in all Las Vegas. Office is always super clean. My daughter has been coming here for about 7 months now into her treatment, appointments are always on time. I started my invisalign trearment here over a year ago. Most of my appointments are on the weekend as I teach during the week but they have apts I believe Mon-Sat. Time: The big ticket appointments take no more than an hour. 90% of my appointments take less than 30 minutes. In and out. Esteem: My teeth have never looked better and my confidence about my smile has skyrocketed. Environment: The atmosphere is laid back so even as an adult you don’t feel silly coming to get you braces checked and asking for CUTE colores bands too. Staff: Ladies in the front are kind and respectful. Every dental assistant I’ve met has been a pleasure to work with. Dr. C THINKS he’s so funny…no no seriously he’s the best. Honest and caring. He even hooked me up with a Vegas contact during our “how yah doin?” conversation. Price: A bit more than I had in CA…and I was BUMMED when I couldn’t transfer my treatment plan (and money spent) from Cali to Vegas. I paid about $5,000 but…everyone’s treatment is DIFFERENT and will vary depending on your needs and wants. Don’t play yourself trying to take this review in as a quote. Pro: We agreed on Invisalign because I was over metal and it has been a pleasure. If I need a break…I take them off. If I want popcorn and/or steak…I rip them out to enjoy the Deliciousness that is POPCORN & STEAK. Overall: Want straight teeth in an environment you like being in, around folks you can trust with your smile…? Aloha is your place.

It’s always a pleasure to visit with Dr. C and his staff. He has the most awesome, fun, and professional attitude that sets the standard for the rest of the team working with him. Not only does Dr. C excel at his work, he is compassionate and understanding. After having some unforeseen dental setbacks (unrelated to my treatment) he worked with me to find the right periodontist and put a pause on my treatment until I could heal from a much needed gum surgery. Very pleased with the staff and services provided. We met with 1 other provider before choosing Aloha. We were told my daughter would have braces on for 3 years and that her mouth had enough space without having to remove teeth. After getting a second opinion with Aloha and seeing pictures of her current teeth, there was no way that there was enough room for her teeth to drop into place and not be overcrowded. 1 1/2 years into the treatment any my daughters braces were removed and her teeth look beautiful. Holy Smokes ! What an amazing experience!!! Dr.C and his amazing staff probably see a hundred people a day and they still treat everyone like they are VIP. I couldn’t have chosen a better Orthodontist to do my treatment with. Maren (an angel sent from heaven) met me on a Saturday (when she’s was off) at 6PM and helped me out with a dental emergency. Right off the bat I was blown away by this place. The initial phone interview was very informative and pleasant! The night before our consultation we received an actual call from Dr. C personally asking if we had any questions or concerns prior to our visit. Never had that done before by any dentist! Our consultation with Shelly was professional, pressure-free, and down right friendly! She went into detail all that was to be done and how flexible they are with deposit and payment plans. From the time I was a child, I was always very uncomfortable with smiling because of my crooked, fang-like teeth. One by one, each of my classmates had braces put on. One by one, their smiles became straighter and more radiant. With that, came improved confidence in the way they would carry themselves. I, on the other hand, grew to dislike what I saw in the mirror. As an adult, I really wanted to feel beautiful or at least stand a little taller. So, my quest to find an orthodontist began. This process was not easy. One by one, the consultations I would receive from “potential” orthodontists always left me feeling inadequate. One particular orthodontist even went as far as saying that I should’ve done this A LONG TIME AGO! Even the payments were outrageous, especially for my family of seven. My dream of having a beautiful smile seemed to be further and further out of reach until one faithful day…I met Dr. Chelian at Aloha Orthodontics. The entire staff greeted my husband and I with a warm smile and welcomed us into the consultation room. I was still a bit apprehensive considering my prior experience at other orthodontists’ offices. Dr. Chelian and Shelley, his office manager put my fears to rest as they walked me through the process of what my treatment would look like for me. To top it all off, Shelley had created a payment plan that was so comfortable I could really see my dream come to fruition! I was so overcome with emotion, I simply wept. We started my treatment plan soon after along with my eldest son. Since then, my daughter has been under the care of Dr. Chelian and my eldest son and I have had our braces removed! My son beamed as he saw his teeth! It was wonderful to see how proud he was. As for myself, the moment my braces were removed I couldn’t believe it! I was in a state of shock! I was whisked away to take after photos and it finally set in. As we began this journey, I cried and as I ended this journey, I cried. My dream of having straight teeth had finally come true! We just finished braces yesterday for my first, and the entire two years have been wonderful. So easy to get appointment set at a time that works for us at the location that’s best. The staff is amazing! They have made it so much fun to actually go get teeth worked on. We just began braces for our second, and it’s likely there will be more with braces in the future! To anyone I know in Las Vegas area, I would certainly recommend Aloha orthodontics! I’ll be passing them on to all my other military friends that will be moving into the area in the coming years. So thankful to have found you when we needed to start braces with our kiddos!

Aloha Orthodontics is awesome. The place is bright and colorful, has games, TVs, movies, nice reclining chairs, prizes you can win and on top of that the staff is helpful and very friendly. Knew our family by name every time we walked in and knew what we were up too and remembered the stories we would tell them. The whole place is very welcoming and Dr. C is a great guy who really cares about his patients and their smiles. The wait times were very short and I would really suggest this place for your kids even for much older people. Really appreciate the great work Dr. C and everyone does at Aloha Orthodontics.

Aloha Orthodontics is a very professional & friendly place. Dr. C & his staff worked well with my daughter who needed to have her braces completed in a year due to my husband being transferred to another state. Their billing was easy & their appointments were super flexible. The atmosphere was fun & energetic. We usually were there for about 30 minutes depending on what needed to be done. I think the longest We ever had to wait was 5 minutes one time for my daughter’s appointment, which in my book is not bad. My daughter has a beautiful smile thanks to Aloha Orthodontics.

It’s been 3 years since we walked into their office for a consultation for my two boys. They had over crowding which was causing major overbites and crooked teeth. Had my first appointment today for consultation for my 3kids. The minute we walked in the door, we felt we made the right choice. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was beautiful. Very clean, and this is a busy place!! There was no wait time, they took my kids right back. This was supposed to be just a consult so I could get an idea of my cost for braces for 3kids. I’ve had a consult elsewhere and wasn’t happy simply because the cost was outrageous and they were very aggressive with starting treatment. Aloha Orthodontics was very professional, catering to my finances, and not pushy at all!!! Once they went over the treatment plan and cost, I signed my kids up immediately and got their braces the same day…..TODAY!!! Lynnessa was such a sweetheart. I didn’t feel pressured and was shocked on the difference in cost from my previous consultation at the other place. Extremely affordable and she made sure if I needed to make any adjustments to make the treatment more affordable, she was willing to accommodate. Dr. C couldn’t have been more professional. Just an all around nice guy 🙂 I’m very pleased I decided to go to Aloha Orthodontics, got 2 of my 3 kids started on braces and already scheduled my appointment next year for my 3rd kid. Once kids are done, I will start my treatment for a gorgeous smile. CAN’T WAIT!!

A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
At Aloha Orthodontics, Dr. Naren Chelian (aka Dr. C) wants more than an excellent smile for his patients. He wants the patient experience to be just as outstanding. His energetic personality vibrates throughout the office from his team to his patients. As soon as you step inside Aloha Orthodontics, you can’t help but smile as staff and patients wear t shirts branded with the slogan: Smile Sucka. When asked about his motto, Dr. C responds: ‘Because smiling is free, smiling is contagious and smiling makes people happy. So why not?!’ At Aloha Orthodontics, our mission statement is: Delivering Smiles and Happiness. I have prioritized the goals at Aloha to exceed the expectations of my patients. The moment a patient walks in, I want them to release any anxiety that they may have had about braces or Invisalign. I want them to feel our positive energy and forget they are at a dental office. I want them to tune in to the music playing throughout the office. I want each visit to be the best part of my patient’s day. At the end of their orthodontic treatment, I want them to say: ‘Wow! That was it? This was so much easier than I thought.’ I want them to leave Aloha and be able to smile with confidence for the rest of their lives. The mission statement also applies for my staff (aka my Aloha family). Patients often joke about wondering if the team members enjoy being at Aloha more than they do. This confusion is why I started Aloha Orthodontics. If I am going to spend the prime years of my life working, I want to LOVE it. I also want to share this love with my patients and team. Dr. C was born in India and moved to the U.S. when he was 8 where he then grew up in San Diego, CA. Dr. C attended UCSD for his undergraduate education. He then moved onto UCLA for doctorate education, and completed orthodontic residency at UNLV. He is still very involved as the alumni president of the UNLV orthodontic residency program. Dr. C is not only dedicated to his work by being at his office but is even very involved with his patients on a more personal level. He is a huge sponsor of many of his patients’ schools, sports teams and helps with other local fundraising. He also donates monthly to a long list of other local, national and international charities and academic programs. Some of those charities include St. Jude Child fund, American Cancer Society, Salvation Army, UNICEF, No Kid Hungry, American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, Wikimedia, USO, ASPCA, Smile Train, Opportunity Village, UCLA, UCSD, UNLV, Habitat for Humanity, and Project 150.
