HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Staff is professional, personable and knowledgeable. Zoe made me feel as if I were a long time patient the minute I walked into the door and Mo helped ease my nerves throughout the entire visit. Dr. Volchonok is not only well educated, but he is able to explain everything so it is easily understood. I was able to book a same day appointment for a cleaning, X-rays, and a check up. Two days later I was back for my final wisdom tooth extraction. Dr. Volchonok personally called the evening after my oral surgery to follow up and he was easily reached throughout my recovery. After my follow up appointment I was actually sad to leave (which is a major accomplishment since I hate going to the dentist)! I actually am looking forward to my next cleaning in September.

Dr. Volchonok is one of a kind. Before I found him I had experienced a pretty traumatic failed extraction and bone graft from a previous implant specialist. It was difficult and anxiety provoking knowing I had to go through the procedure again, but I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This man is extremely informative, patient with questions and is an extraordinarily talented, gentle surgeon. He and his entire staff are so genuine. I’m really thankful I found him and highly recommend him.

Dr. V is always approachable and friendly. He explains the procedure and what to expect. Which is very important to me. I want to know all possibilities so I’m not blindsided. My surgery took about 3 hours but it felt like half the time. He’s accommodating to any musical choice or audio book you want to listen to while the surgery is in process, which for me just puts you more at ease. I’d highly recommend Dr. Volchonok.

This was my first visit with Dr Volchonok and his staff and they were wonderful! Started with Karen at the front who handled my intake, then Gloria who sat with me to get all my information. Finally Dr Volchonok who I thought did a great job at asking me questions about my habits and explaining to me what his initial thoughts are regarding my issues. After he performed additional tests, he sat down and explained my options for treatment. The actual procedure will be next month so I’ll update this review but for initial consultation, I had a great experience with Dr Volchonok and his team.

Dentist Volchonok is very knowledgeable and professional. I’ve been with him for almost a year for my periodontal cleaning and maintenance. He always answers my questions and explains everything to me. He really cares patient. He even call me to check my status after I got my wisdom teeth extraction. I highly recommend!

Dr. Volchonok and his staff are incredibly professional, great communicators, and lovely people. I felt really taken care of by them when I went in for my procedure. I had a good understanding of the what’s and why’s since they were explained to me beforehand. I would definitely recommend them.

Dr. Volchonok is an exceptional Perio and an extremely skilled surgeon. He offers more than just amazing healthcare – he gives his patients comfort, peace of mind, and concierge-level dental care. After he saved my tooth (and holiday season) by deftly treating me for an extremely painful dental emergency in Dec 2019, I’m convinced he’s one of the best healthcare providers I’ve come across. It’s easy to schedule an appt and the staff is so great at following up. He doesn’t keep you waiting. He respects your time and is generous with his. He educates patients on procedures and options and will explain procedures so anyone can understand what is going to happen. His offices are modern, clean, comforting and he is equipped with the latest dental tech that made it possible for him to spot an infection in my back molar (that he wasn’t even treating at the time!) I also really appreciate his referral process. He takes the extra time to discuss with the other doctor before he recommends a course of action and presents options to his patients. He is kind, empathetic and his skills and ability in his specialty certainly live up to the double ivy league degrees on the wall. Thank you AV Perio! 

Dr Volchonok and his entire team (especially Mo) are amazing. I had a procedure done recently and they made me feel as comfortable as possible. During the consultation, Dr Volchonok explained everything to me in detail. I was a bit nervous before the procedure but Mo was super nice, told me exactly what to expect and made me feel at ease. Dr Volchonok is a complete professional and clearly an expert at what he does, he even called later in the day to check in on me and make sure everything was fine. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

From the intake call to the billing, my visit to Dr. V’s office was seamless. The staff is friendly and efficient, and Dr. V’s evaluation and next steps were thorough and prudent. Dr. V helped me to understand the various directions and implications of my treatment plan in a clear and honest manner. He also is a team player and communicates important details in real time with Dr. Zadick, another great dental practitioner and my dentist in Greenwich, CT.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who dreads going to the dentist, it’s not always a “fun” or stress free situation. It actually had been years since I’ve been to one because I’ve had such unpleasant experiences, but eventually due to gum recession, I had to go back. I chose to go to AV Periodontics because it was really close to my job (walking distance) and has a pretty decent rating online. All I have to say is I made the Right choice. I actually enjoyed my visit, which I still until now can’t believe. Dr. Alex Volchonok and his staff not only treat their patients with the utmost care and respect, but really put you at ease in the chair with such considerate, professional behavior. When he speaks to you about the procedure, a weight is lifted and replaced with confidence that “Yes, this person knows exactly what I need and will perform it to the best of his ability” and I was finally able to breathe. I really do not see myself going to anyone else and actually look forward to my next visit. If you are like me and really don’t enjoy going to the dentist, I suggest you try this place. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.

For the last 20+ years, I have been loosing, not only bone in my jaw but many teeth as well. I was in pain for years, I had to constantly think about what I could and could not eat. Over the years, I had been to periodontist after periodontist in an attempt to manage the pain and decay. Finally, I met the doctor who would over the next two years resolve my issues. Dr. Alex Volchonok was the first doctor that I went to who made me feel confident that there was a solution to my endless problems. It was a huge decision to remove my remaining teeth and do a full mouth of implants. I consulted several other periodontists prior to selecting Dr. V. None of the doctors that I spoke to, who I might add had been doing these procedures longer than Dr. V, but after speaking to them I decided to go with Dr. V. The main reason for choosing him was that he made me feel like he would do anything that I needed to make me feel comfortable and that is exactly what happened! It was not an easy process, but he was always available and was in constant contact with me during the recovery process and beyond. In short, if I had to go through this process again I would choose Dr. Volchonok all over again. I will absolutely recommend him to any of my family or friends who may have periodontal problems.
