I recently had my 2 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Zhang and I can honestly say that this practice is well run, friendly, and trustworthy. She took great care of me and provided a painless removal. I was worried on how my wisdom tooth procedure would affect my day in terms of exams as well as how well I would recover during school, but I was pleased to find out that the recovery was short. As a dental student in New York, everything in that office from the x-ray machines to the staff was high quality and the procedure done (starting from the anesthetic to the extraction) was flawless. For anyone looking to get wisdom teeth removed (especially college students), or any other dental procedure done, GO TO DR. ZHANG!

I remember, when I first entered the Beacon Dental Center about 2 years ago, I was so tense. However, when the office manager greeted me with a big smile in the waiting room, my fear was gone. Then, a dental hygienist, Mariya asked me to the operatory, and started to do x-ray. It was so quick and comfortable, as I had never experienced before. I was amused by the new technology. It was the digital x-ray that requires about 60% less radiation that the regular one. My teeth appeared on the computer in size of the computer. Then, the dental hygienist explained me about tartar, periodontal pockets, and bone loss. She checked my gums, told me that I don’t have periodontal disease, and started dental cleaning. It was very gentle, no pain at all. Then, Dr. L. Zhang did the exam. I had no cavities, but I had an empty space for years that I didn’t like. It was visible when I smiled, and no previous doctor suggested me to do something about it. Dr. Zhang recommended me to get an implant. First, I was scared, but it was done in such professional way, and looked so natural that now I can smile wide with confidence. I am very satisfied with the professional treatment I received at the Beacon Dental Center, and I am very thankful to the doctor and the staff for that.

Dr Zhang and her team are excellent. I’ve received cleanings, a night guard, and fillings from them over the past 3 years. Prior to seeing Dr Zhang I did not go to a dentist for a few years. Dr Zhang did a great job on my composite fillings and I hope that they last many years. They have new technology like the 3D scanner to get a mold of your teeth and a camera to see cavities easily. Dr Zhang and get team are also very personable and take the time to ask about my husband and our life. I highly recommend seeing Dr Zhang.

I got four wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Zhang two weeks ago, all the staff in the dental center were very friendly, trustworthy and attentive. For the surgery, Dr. Zhang showed her proficiency and patience during the whole process. I had the partial anesthesia before performing removal, I was actually awake for the whole process but didn’t feel any pain at all! This is amazing and far beyond me expectation. Two days after the surgery, the wound got infected because I didn’t clean my teeth as instructed by Dr Zhang, she found out the situation by proactively checking back with me on WeChat. Then she called the CVS pharmacy near my home right away to send the antibiotics prescription to there. This helped me to recover from that constant fever, which I think it’s the typical symptom of infection. Remember to follow what Dr. Zhang tells you, and the rest is to enjoy the treatment from her.

I don’t understand why this clinic was rated so low. Dr. Zhang is fantastic – she is attentive and truly cares for her patients. All the staff are super friendly and accomodating. I like that the wait time after check-in is typically much shorter than other dental clinics I’ve been to. Also, this is one of the few offices that open on Saturdays, which gives a lot of flexibility in my weekday schedule.

I’ve been going to Beacon Dental Center for many years now and it has always been a great customer experience. I used to have an underbite before I started going to Beacon Dental Center and after getting my braces done at Beacon I can truly say that I love my smile now. I now go a couple times a year to get my teeth cleaned and they consistently do an amazing job at that. Also, the staff has always been very friendly. They are extremely helpful in answering any questions you might have, and they also provide you with magazines and Wifi access while you wait in the waiting room. Not only is Beacon Dental Center in an ideal area and easily accessible by the T (Green-C, Englewood Ave). It is also an amazing dental practice. The staff is very competent and friendly. Dr. Zhang, a general dentist, hires only the best hygienists and dental assistants. She, herself, is very knowledgeable and tries to give you the best results possible. The office manager, Tao, is also very knowledgeable about various dental insurances and what they offer. Years of running this practice together have created a flawless process between Dr. Zhang and Tao. I’ve had a great experience with Beacon Dental Center for years. They’ve been my life long dentist. They make sure you come for your 6-month cleaning and any other recall appointments needed. I’m prone to cavities so reminding me to come back for an appointment is wonderful. They also will email 2 weeks in advance before your scheduled appointment as a reminder and to confirm that you are able to make the appointment. As a college student, email reminders are key to make sure I keep my teeth clean. (As a plus, the dental clinic is in an ideal location for college students being very close to BC and BU.) Dr. Zhang has recently purchased a new instrument that detects cavities in their early stages, so you can get them filled before more damage is made and pain starts. You may think that you’re spending too much money on early and tiny cavities, but in the long run you’ll save money by getting them filled early on and reducing the chances of a possible root canal. I’ve also gotten braces there and they were done very well. She makes sure you come back regularly so she can monitor the progress your teeth are making. While I got traditional braces, she also does clear trays. Dr. Zhang is an amazing dentist. I highly recommend her for people of all ages and for families. She tries to get the best results while trying to give you the best prices as well. The staff and her can also speak Mandarin and Cantonese. COME HERE! Schedule an appointment! No one likes yucky teeth. 😀

Dr. Zhang is very caring and precise. The whole office is very friendly. Exceptional Dental experience. My favorite thing which was surprising at the time was when she asked if I wanted nova Caine for my fillings, she then asked if we could start without it and if I was worried about pain during the fillings, she would use it. I was unsure and paying close attention to sensation and realized that nova Caine had never been an option before, dentists in the past just did it. I walked out with a not numb mouth and no pain. I opted for no nova Caine for my remaining fillings next time too.

I have had some very negative experiences with another dentist in Brookline BUT Dr. Zhang is simply THE BEST! She takes the time to explain options and what is and is not covered by insurance. I knew I was going to need at least one extraction and it ended up that I needed three. I have never had one before and her expertise was obvious as there was very little pain once the numbness had gone. There was also no swelling, bruising or paint the following morning. I am so glad I have found a dentist that I can trust and continue to go to for years to come!!!

Unfortunately started suffering from a toothache while visiting family on the east coast. I found Beacon Dental after some googling and was lucky they had an appointment available! The office staff was really helpful and sympathetic in setting up something last minute and I was only in the waiting area for about 5 minutes before being called in. After the examination they suggested I’ve been grinding my teeth in my sleep, which I’d never have guessed. Just glad it wasn’t something worse, but they advised me on night guards for teeth and the pain has definitely diminished since I started using them. I won’t be back most likely since I’m not from the area, but a really solid place!
