My wife and I saw Dr. Mistry for our initial visits this past week. We believe he is the most thorough dentist we have ever seen and we have always lived in major cities with access to highly trained professionals. He recently purchased this practice from a retiring dentist. His office staff is highly professional, kind, and considerate. The equipment is modernized. Dr Mistry is no less than amazing. He is an excellent listener and completed a detailed examination. My wife, a cancer patient, was thrilled to find a DDS with advanced training at a nationally known cancer center. Dr Mistry and staff demonstrated a high degree of knowledge and took their time to educate on basic dental hygiene. For as long as we live in PDX, Dr. Mistry is our dentist!

I’ve been a patient of this dental clinic for many years and very please with the level of service. Tiffany, the dental hygienist, is very thorough, kind, and has a gentle hand. Although I have only just started going to Dr. Kiran Mistry I can highly recommend him and his staff. I have had the most through and well explained dental exam since I began going to a dentist 50 years ago. Every tooth of significance was discussed and the one tooth that has been bothering me was accurately diagnosed and worked on. Yesterday I went in and had some minor work done at no charge. I had been a long-term patient of Dr. Gerhards, from whom Dr. Mistry acquired the practice. I opted to maintain my next appointment after Dr. Gerhards retired and see how things went. I was very pleased to see the entire team was retained from Dr. Gerhard’s practice! My first visit was excellent! Great cleaning by a hygienist I had seen for many years, Dr. Mistry was very thorough, and it was great to see Sally keeping things on track up in the front office. Dr. Mistry and his staff were wonderful. Professional, thorough, very skilled, friendly, informative, and patient-centered. They walked me through the whole process from payment to treatment, and follow up, in a way that put me at ease. I was afraid that an old root canal was in big trouble, but they did a thorough examination and gave me all the possible reasons for my tooth ache. Going to the dentist, in general, makes me so nervous but I did not feel that way at Beaumont Village Dental Arts. The practice and most of the staff have been there for decades and they turned out to be very trustworthy. I will be going back to this dental practice as long as I live in Portland.

I miss Dr. Gerhards. He was such a kind gentle dentist. But he chose the perfect replacement, much like himself. Dr. Mistry is a very good dentist and very thorough. He too is very gentle. The first time he came at me with that needle I didn’t even know he had done anything. I’ve been coming here for many years and love the staff – Sally, Tiffany and Tammy. It’s just like someone else said – they are like family and Dr. Mistry is a welcome addition to that family. I started going to this dental clinic when I lived next door but even though I’ve moved to the west side I still make the trip to come to see the staff here. Even though I only come a few times a year, the staff remember details about me and it’s easy to get lost in conversation. The secretary Sally is so sweet. I enjoy it when she calls me to schedule a cleaning. Today Dr. Mistry did my cleaning and he is informative, has good technique, and was so attentive if anything was causing me pain. I am pleased to have Dr. Mistry as my new dentist. Update 05/20/2020: I had an urgent dental issue and was able to get in to see Dr. Mistry on short notice before he re-opens his office on June 1st (due to COVID-19 restrictions). We are a small private office providing personalized dental care in a warm and friendly environment. Dr. Kiran Mistry is proud to carry on the reputation for excellence that Dr. Michael Gerhards has built. He realizes that every patient has unique needs, and focuses on education and minimally-invasive techniques to help you achieve and maintain a healthy smile. Dr. Mistry is best known for his gentle demeanor and his integrity. Kiran Mistry, DDS is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and has earned a Certificate in General and Hospital Dentistry from Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Dr. Mistry received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Viterbi School of Engineering at USC. He found himself more interested in healthcare and decided to pursue a career in dentistry, like his father. He received his dental degree from USC, and then went on to complete a residency in general and hospital dentistry at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. There, he worked extensively with medically compromised patients, patients receiving treatment for head & neck cancer, and children. He also learned to safely sedate patients for dental treatment. He practiced for several years with his father in Anaheim, CA, as well as other offices around Los Angeles and Portland/Vancouver. In October 2018, he had the opportunity to take over Dr. Gerhards' dental office at the time of his retirement. Dr. Mistry met his lovely wife, Priti, while living in Seattle. She is also a dentist and works in both Vancouver and Portland. They have two children, Sarina (2) and Rohan (newborn) and a dog Ellie.
