I had orthodontic work (old fashion braces) three decades ago. I have been blown away by how much has changed. Bethany Orthodontics uses the most innovative technology for scanning teeth & imagining. I got my invisalign about 30 days ago. I did my homework and reviewed several bids. By being a volume invisalign provider, Bethany had the most competitive price, hands down. The staff is super friendly, polite and very professional. Everyone seems very genuinely caring. WONDERFUL experience and I am just getting started!

Dr. Liu has been my orthodontist for about 5 months now and I am so glad I visited her office to receive my treatment!! She is extremely friendly and always happy to answer my questions and concerns. Initial impression of the clinic was inviting, clean and new. Right off the bat, the staff was welcoming and caring. They knew who we were when we walked in the door. The waiting area is very clean and organized. There are two separate waiting areas. One for the kids with an X-Box and an area for the adults. We’ve always shied away from going to the orthodontist since we feel like dentists and orthodontists are in cahoots and cycle people through like a factory. This ortho doesn’t feel that way. We left feeling very comfortable and informed. They are very personable and feel like family. The payment plan made things palatable. We don’t feel overwhelmed at the cost of everything. All in all, this was a pretty pleasurable experience, as doctor visits can go.

I just finished up my Invisalign treatment at Lake Oswego Orthodontics and am extremely happy that I chose Doctor Liu as my orthodontist. I am a college student who had braces for a short while in middle school. My braces were taken off early due to a move and my teeth were still semi-crooked with an overbite. Doctor Liu walked me through the process of Invisalign, making sure I was comfortable each step of the way. Being a college student, Invisalign was a big financial decision and I felt as if I made a great decision with who I chose to straighten my teeth. Not only is Doctor Liu great to work with, but her staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They were extremely accommodating with rescheduling and working with my school schedule. I brought by son to Bethany Orthodontics to have a consultation for braces. My son has autism and the office wasamzing with him and put him at ease. Dr. Liu was simply amazing. She was very soft spoken, extremely knowledgeable and explained everything in so much detail. Her staff was equally amazing and made us feel very comfortable. Dr. Sue-Chin Liu is wonderful! Actually everyone in the office is great! Upfront and honest, not just trying to put braces on everyone!! My daughter was very nervous at first but the friendly atmosphere and the techs melted her fears away. Now she races me up the stairs, checks herself in and can’t wait to get her new colors in her mouth (she’s 9). A couple times her wires had come out and they were able to get her in right away. They have an Xbox in the waiting area for the kids as well as a Kurig for the adults while you wait. We were able to set up a payment plan because face it-braces aren’t cheap and I didn’t have to break the bank! If you are looking for an orthodontist go to Bethany Orthodontics!!

Everyone here are very nice and knowledgeable. I never have to wait when I get there, they see me right away. When I needed to be seen about a discomfort I had at the beginning of my treatment with my Invisalign they were able to fit me in the same day and knew how to deal with the issue that I had. Like so many, I had braces as a teen. And like so many, I stopped wearing my retainers after a few years. My teeth eventually relapsed and were once again crooked. For many years I considered getting braces again, but then the idea of wearing them for years was very off putting, almost as much as the haunting phrase “adult braces”. Eek. Cringe. So I carried on with my life and my crooked teeth. As the gradual shift continued, I noticed my teeth clinking together more often. It was frustrating and it hurt. I knew it was only a matter of time before I cracked or badly chipped a tooth, which would put me in a completely different category for urgent dental work. I felt like my luck was running out. Of course I had heard of Invisalign, seen ads and commercials, but I always assumed it was going to cost so much money. Then one day I convinced myself to go to the Invisalign.com website. Their site is pretty easy to navigate. I was able to plug in my info and get a rough estimate of what my treatment would cost. From there they allow you to plug in your zip code and find an Invisalign provider near you and that’s how I found Lake Oswego Orthodontics. I had such a great time at this office. The ladies are so helpful, gentle, and kind. Every visit was efficient, and hardly took any time at all. Before I knew it, 7 months had passed and my treatment was finished. Everyone I know said, “that’s it?”. Yep, that’s all it took. In less than a year I had straight teeth again. It kind of makes me feel silly for having waited so long to get this done. But I couldn’t be happier with Sue Chin Liu and her staff. If you’re looking for a great orthodontist with a wonderful, professional, and caring staff, I 100% recommend Lake Oswego Orthodontics. They are definitely doing exemplary work over there and for that I am forever grateful.
A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
We offer Invisalign and braces to children and adults. We have served the community since 2002. We offer flexible payment plan. We are located in the Bethany Village. Dr. Sue-Chin Liu has been certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics since 2005. She is among the Diplomates who hold non-time-limited certificates. The certification process includes written examination and detailed clinical patient case reports. The voluntary participation of this certification process demonstrates Dr. Liu's continued commitment to a high standard of clinical excellence. Dr. Liu has been a certified Invisalign provider since 2001, and she is a 2020 Platinum Provider. She has extensive experience to use Invisalign to treat adult and teenager patients. Dr. Liu received her dental degree in 1992 and PhD degree in 1993 from the University of Connecticut. Her PhD research was to identify gene defects of patients with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (Brittle Bone Disease). In 1995, she completed her specialty training in Orthodontics at OHSU and has practiced in Connecticut, Beaverton, NW Portland, and Lake Oswego since 1995. Dr. Liu is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, and the American Association of Orthodontics, the Oregon State Society of Orthodontics.
