After coming back I have no doubts I made the right decision. After a horrible experience at a different dentist, I found Bristol Heights. I was so scared to even have my teeth cleaned and was shaking and crying the first time. I have never been treated so good by any dentist and staff. They are always really nice and pleasant. I never feel like they are trying to “upsell” me on anything than what I actually need which has created a huge trust. When I had to put a crown on one of my molars they made sure to offer me medication to relax. I will never go anywhere else!

The staff is wonderful, and Amber is so gentle with all 3 of my kiddos and one of my kids has a “sensory issue” so ANYTHING in his mouth is traumatic for him. Dr. Shipp and Amber, my dental technician, and the entire staff at Bristol Heighs Dental are amazing! I actually look forward to going to the dentist. I and my husband have been patients of Dr. Shipp’s for as long as he has practiced at this location, I’m guessing it’s been about 10 years. He took over for the previous dentist and the transition was smooth, as every visit since has been. They offer a wide array of services I’ve not seen at other offices. They cured my TMJ with botox injections and sent my hubby home with a sleep study device which led him to a CPAP machine. It literally changed his life. If you’re looking for a great dentist check them out!!!

I had to have a root canal because my last dentist botched a crown procedure that left me with nerve damage. Dr. Shipp was very helpful in explaining the procedure and assuring me that it would fix the pain I had been experiencing for a year. The procedure was painless, and fairly quick. I’m somewhat of a stickler when it comes to service, and the presence of or lack thereof usually makes or breaks the whole experience for me. The whole environment in this dental office really helps you relax. The employees genuinely seem like they love working there and more importantly, are happy to see you when you come in. The office is really modern and just gives a natural premium feel. The hygienist that worked with me was very kind and professional, giving me tips, and advice, while she efficiently worked. Dr. Shipp came highly recommended and he did not disappoint. He pointed out all sorts of options i could choose from versus the usual “one size fits all,” approach. In short, it was really nice to find a dental office where you genuinely feel appreciated. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for dental work.

I highly recommend Dr. Shipp and his staff, especially Jenn, the hygienist who has worked with me the most. Everyone has been friendly, the office is clean and the waiting area even has a play area for kids. Although I never have had to wait long. The TV’s playing HGTV in the waiting area and above the chairs as I get my teeth cleaned is always a huge treat for me. 🙂 What initially brought me in was I moved into a nearby neighborhood and received a mailer. As a new patient I had a choice in a gift so every 6 months that I come in for my cleaning I get a free whitening tray, which is great. I’ve also referred another patient and received a gift card for that as well.

I went here to get a porcelain veneer replaced that had been broken and I had for 15 years from a previous dentist. They were very welcoming and understanding and in the 3 visits to get it completed, I never once had a bad experience. They talk you through everything and they are honest with you about what’s happening. Definitely worth going back and continuing to go back for all of my dental needs.

They are generally great, patient folks. I have a significant fear of dental work (>20 teeth pulled between baby, adult, and wisdom) and as my orthodontist back in junior high put it “the worst case he had…” With this context, I don’t dread heading in to their office! Even had a random wisdom tooth pulled the day of, that had an inflamed nerve. I was very hesitant to have this done with such short notice. That was back in early February (?), and there have been zero issues since then, on following their instructions. They have adverts for Botox and dental implants that are a bit off-putting, but I get the need to cater / upsell as a business. Teeth whitening whatever superficial blah blah blah pass. Fundamentally, I’ve never waited long in the lobby (brought in within 10 min of my appointment time), they quote things beforehand, send reminders the week of an appointment, and have seemed more genuine over time. They also play Fixer Upper, if that’s your jam (not mine). I plan to stick with them.

I asked if I could get an appointment earlier and they told me that they would call me if something opened up. They actually did. The staff was super friendly and did a great job. My daughter and I are clients. It is so convenient to have our appointments at the same time. It is also funny how particular we are on our hygienist! We MUST have our hygienist, and they are so accommodating. My daughter, in the past, has had difficult experiences with dentist, so much so that she had to be sedated to have filling done. I was shocked that not only did she have no issue with getting x-rays for her hygienist (Amber) but will sit by herself for her cleaning while I get mine (I see Jenn)!!! That is amazing. I took my special needs brother to Dr. Shipp and Jen has been just wonderful helping him to understand how to take care of his teeth. I have an extreme fear of dental work and have not found a dentist I fully trusted since my childhood dentist retired. I was recently in somewhat of an urgent situation and needed immediate care. Bristol Heights Dental got me in right away. Dr. Shipp was wonderful and the staff was amazing. They understood my anxiety and did their best to make things as painless as possible. I hope I don’t need any major work done again but if I do, I hope Tina is still there and assisting Dr. Shipp because she was wonderful. Dr. Michael Shipp received a Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville in 2006. He then continued his education and earned a GPR certificate in 2007 for completing a 1 year advanced dental training residency. Dr. Shipp's favorite procedures are dental implants, smile makeovers and Invisalign orthodontics. He does addtional training and continuing education every year to ensure our patients are receiving the best treatments and newest technology. In 2018 Dr. Shipp joined the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and is an expert in facial treatments such as Botox to smooth wrinkles and dermal fillers for lips, cheek enhancements, nasiolabial folds and acne scars. This allows him to give patients the whole package and amazing results with the smile makeovers and veneers we do! Dr. Shipp also is a leader in treating migraines, tension headaches, chronic facial pain and TMJ issues pain with Botox. We are Medicare providers and have additional training and expertise in treating Snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea with comfortable oral appliances instead of the dreaded CPAP machine that 50% of users won't even wear. Dr. Shipp is a member of the following groups: the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and the Idaho State Dental Association. He attends nationally renown and accredited continuing education courses each year to stay current on all the latest advancements in dentistry. Dr. Shipp has treated thousands of adults and children here in the Treasure Valley. He believes his patients deserve the best dentistry so he has invested in technology like computer guided implant surgery, cavity detecting lasers, digital x-rays which extremely decrease radiation exposure and also intraoral cameras which allows him to show you exacly what he sees inside your mouth if there is a problem.
