Dr. Chen and her team at Castro Commons General Dentistry are most amazing people I had pleasure to meet. When I moved to California, I was really lucky to pick Castro Commons General Dentistry for my dental needs, and I never looked for alternatives again. Even now after my family moved ~30 miles away from Mountain View, we rather drive back all the way for routine cleanups then pick another dentist.

I never leave reviews for anything, but Dr. Chen is a really great dentist. Her team is super friendly and professional. I’ve never had to wait more than a minute for my appointments. They send helpful reminders and have a good website. And most importantly I feel like the quality of care from Dr. Chen is really high. They are very thorough and take the time to carefully explain everything they are doing. Can’t ask for more in a dentist.

After being with Dr. Chen for the last two years, it is time to give Dr. Chen a late thumbs up. Dr. Chen is the ONLY, and the best dentist I have had in the last two decades. Before came to Dr. Chen, I was terrified of dentists throughout CA, because I had undergone many dental malpractices that turned my tooth cavities into root canal and crown and over billings. Until I came to Dr. Chen. Dr. Chen really cares about patients’ teeth as she always said, “Once a tooth is drilled, tooth doesn’t grow back.” That is the dentist that every patient needs!! During the first visit, I knew I was FINALLY in good hands. She was always super gentle with care in her practice. So were her wonderful hygienists. Dr. Chen’s dental knowledge and skill stand out, which is the patient like me that has bad teeth need most. I was amazed to know Dr. Chen continues to conduct research and group studying complex teeth cases. I guess that is one of the reasons why my poor condition teeth was never a big deal to her. Dr. Chen always put me at ease when I had concerns of my teeth. Dr. Chen’s office is beautiful, clean, and the equipment is modern. She even has a machine that makes night guard. I had dental impression in the morning and night guard was available to pick up in the afternoon. It is sad relocation and the COVID-19 pandemic stops me going to see Dr. Chen. Thank Dr. Chen so much for taking care of my teeth.

I love Dr. Chen and her staff. I am so comfortable visiting the dentist and now during COVID it is obvious that she has taken all safety precautions and the visit is super safe and still warm and friendly. My 8 year old likes Dr. Chen, my husband, my dad…we all love her practice! And my teeth still look professionally whitened after a regular cleaning. Don’t delay the dentist for fear! You’re in good hands with Dr. Chen.

Dr Chen is one of those rare dentists who are on your side. I’ve had bad experiences at other places where they’ve tried to make as much money as they can off me (telling me to replace all my fillings even though they’re perfectly fine). I can trust Dr Chen’s recommendations. She’s very professional and runs her office perfectly. I’ve finally found a forever dentist.

Very nice and clean office. It was my first time after 4 months quarantine to see a doctor/dentist. I trust Dr Chen and her staff a lot. I feel comfortable going there even during Covid-19 since they are very clean and cautious. Very polite and kind staff, Dr Chen is an awesome dentist with great knowledge.

Dr. Chen is incredible Doctor and Woman! The practice is great as well her staff. High professionalism combined with extraordinary human genuineness and care for her patients. My son (he is only 6) really was needed an urgent treatment 8 teeth. Every appointment supposed to be like a torture. But Dr.Chen found common language with my son and persuaded him to several shots to anesthetize. We even got Pinkberry gift card with writing on it “To the bravest boy Sergiy!” from Dr.Chen! Definitely highly recommend all my friends and familiars!

I have been going to this dental office for the past 3 years and every single time I received excellent services.  Dr. Chen and her staff are very patient and very thorough in examining my teeth.  Jose did a great job scheduling the service and answering questions on billing and insurance.  During my last visit, Dr. Chen identified an issue caused by a previously removed wisdom tooth and referred me to a specialist to take care of that.

Dr Chen and the stuff are the best! They go above and beyond in patient support and care. Not only they provide an excellent treatment, but also answer all the questions (and we have a lot!) and ready to jump on a urgent matter even outside of the office hours. Dr Chen is extremely reliable, calm and knowledgeable doctor. You can always count on her team!

I’ve been a faithful client of Dr.Chen for almost 7 years now (first time in my life I’m having such a long and steady relationships with a dentist). Dr. Chen and her crew are amazing! Their professionalism aside – the whole office just exudes warmth and hospitality. And speaking about professionalism – I am more than satisfied! My teeth are well taken care of and never have I ever had less issues with them than in this past 7 years. I am a one happy client!

I was referred to this Dentistry by a friend and had an amazing experience during my appointment. Dr. Chen and her assistant Ivy made me very comfortable and took care of me well. I had general x-rays taken as well as a panoramic x-ray. I told Dr. Chen that I needed a good cleaning because I was attending a wedding and that I needed to have some stains removed. She took care of my teeth so carefully that it was the best experience I ever had with a dentist. She can also hold a good conversation and made some funny jokes. I can’t wait to see her again six months from now.

I like Dr. Chen and her team. They are professional, thoughtful, thorough and kind. The office is well equipped, and every room has great privacy. It is also located in a quiet and peaceful part of town. Staff takes great cautions regarding COVID19. There are wipes and hand sanitizers available. Temperature check and self-declared health screening forms are required. All forms are online so you don’t have to sign anything on-site. There are dozens of dental offices in this region, and I consider myself lucky to find Dr. Chen’s office.

Dr. Chen is so thorough and spend so much attention to detail. I’ve been going for years and I’ve always enjoyed my visits and have left feeling spotless. Everyone from the front desk staff to the dentist/assistants are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I’m not the best flosser, but I always feel encouraged by Dr. Chen’s friendly approach. It was really easy to work out the insurance with them. Zero complaints and in a really convenient location.

I accidentally fell down on the curb and broke my front teeth very badly on the second day of new year. The dental office was closed at that time for holidays. I still tried to contact with Dr. Chen. Luckily Dr. Chen was in town. She came back from town to her office immediately to help me at this emergency.  I am so thankful that Dr. Chen could see me right away and save my teeth instead of losing them. Thank you Dr. Chen!

Dr Chen is THE best dentist I’ve ever had. I used to refuse to see dentist cos it always makes me feel uncomfortable. Doctor Chen, however, was very very friendly and patient with me, explain the x-ray and what’s good and what could be improved. She does care about her patient. And also, staff there are very very friendly.

My husband and I have been visiting Dr. Chen dental practice for over five years. Dr. Chen and her dental hygienists are professional, friendly and most importantly don’t rush through procedures. Dr. Chen’s office manager Jose is not only knowledgeable about billing, scheduling and office operations, but understands dentistry so is able to be of assistance from many different aspects. I greatly appreciate Dr. Chen’s thoroughness, skill and that she takes her time to ensure the best experience possible when visiting a dentist.

I am new to Castro Common General Dentistry but I have to say Dr. Chen and her Staff are super friendly and professional. I’ve never had to wait more than a 5 minutes for my appointments (mind you I show up on time though). The office is clean and bright throughout, and I am happy to see they observed the Covid protocols. I am glad I came here.

I always have the best experience at Dr. Chen’s! From Jose’s friendly greeting in the lobby, to Michelle’s efficient and detailed cleaning, to Dr. Chen’s expert insight, every dental visit feels like a nice break. The office is so comfortable and relaxing, and every appointment is fast. Plus, the ease of scheduling and rescheduling appointments online helps make the whole process so much smoother. Dr. Chen is great.

I left the following review on Google as well: Absolutely fantastic. Dr. Chen and her staff are consummate professionals. I needed to have five cavities filled and the cavities in question required me to receive shots into my gums. I didn’t feel a thing! Furthermore, the experience was calming and my 1.5 hours flew by. Despite receiving shots, my gums felt fine enough to allow me to eat immediately following my appointment. I have found my dentist and that dentist is Dr. Chen.

I met Dr Chen and Sandra this morning and I wanted to immediately review my experience as they are simply an awesome team who provide excellent care in a flexible, friendly and appropriate manner. Flexibility- I have been rescheduling with them over and over simply because I had work commitments that came up on the fly and unanticipated travel, but both the Dr and the receptionist have been very kind and understanding about my work commitments. They have always tried to accommodate to my schedule which I love.Today, I arrived after the appointed time again due to an early morning work call, and despite it being my mistake the Dr and the staff were patient and accommodating. Friendly – There is no hint of pretentiousness to the Dr or staff here. Dr Chen spoke of her own experience when she undergoes dental procedures and this made me feel very comfortable. I have always had dental problems and having a dentist that can make me feel relaxed due to their warmth, experience and honesty is a priority. So I welcome Dr Chen’s approach of sharing her personal experience, being honest about the result of my x-rays. I had 8 fillings last year and have 2 moderate cavities this year and she walked me through the best approach to maintain the health of my gums and bones that support the teeth. Appropriate – Despite the many fillings I have had, the Dr noted that she does not want to recommend fillings unless absolutely necessary and since the existing ones are in good shape she did not want to touch them. She also mentioned that for the minor cavities and the wisdom teeth that i have not extracted, we can work on them once the general dental health improves which is a good methodical approach not driven by greed but my best interest The office location is on the other side of el camino, not the downtown end of castro. The office premises and the equipment are all brand new, state of the art. Dr Chen mentioned that she updated her equipment only 2 years ago and it’s a beautiful office to undergo any treatment in. I have a numbing and a deep cleaning procedure coming up,and I am neither afraid nor skeptical and am quite looking forward to it as I completely trust Dr Chen.
