Dr. Chen & Dr. Lerman are the epitome of excellent healthcare providers. They not only diagnose and treat, but they’re understanding, educational, friendly, diligent, and honest. I wish all of my doctors were like the ones I am treated by here. I can’t say enough good things about this entire office, and I’m not even getting paid! If you’re nervous, or elitist, or anything in between, the whole staff here will make your oral health a much better experience than you expected. 11/10

At the onset, please let me state I am a dentist. I have zero conflict of interest with Dr. Tammy Chen’s practice. The only interest I have is getting the word out that she is one of the most compassionate and skilled practitioners out there. I am the recipient of implants and crowns by Dr. Chen. The process of an implant brings on more fear than it should. Perhaps it’s the word “implant”… perhaps it’s the fact that one is actually going to the dentist, I don’t know. What I do know, and can tell you- is that if you ultimately need such treatment, do consider having the procedure completed by a specialist like Dr. Chen. Many general dentists can complete implants with no problem, and that’s fine. However, Dr. Chen’s sole practice is prosthodontics. What is a prosthodontist? And what makes that different than a regular general dentist? A prosthodontist has three years of extended training (beyond what we received in dental school). They are trained in areas of restorative dentistry, including dental implants, crowns, bridges, complete dentures, partial dentures, esthetics, occlusion, and facial and dental birth developmental defects. Prosthondontists manage complex cases, which mine certainly is. Because I am a dentist, I know how the “textbook” final restorations and crowns should appear. Not only was my case completed to such perfection, Dr. Chen also made me feel comfortable and calm. Her periodontist performed my additional required procedures with such precision and care- it is really a completely comprehensive practice. They are so wonderful, I have my own family come here for their dental needs! The word “specialist” in dentistry means that a dentist has completed and been certified by an authorized school or hospital to perform work in their respective specialty. With Dr. Chen, focus on the word “special”- because she AND her work truly are special.

Central Park Dental Aesthetics has improved every aspect of my oral health including regular cleanings, wisdom tooth removal, Invisalign fittings, and showing me the right way to brush and floss after 30 years (?!) of doing it wrong. Doctors Tammy Chen and Mike Cote are experts at their craft: gentle in the mouth, warm in the heart, and pleasant in the ear. I always enjoy our talks (even though I can’t easily respond while they’re doing work on my teeth). Going to see them always brings a smile to my face and a better and brighter smile when I leave. Best dentists in NYC!

I have been a patient with Tammy for the last 18 months and have had only had very positive experiences for the following reasons: 1) Flexible scheduling of appointments, and appointments always start promptly. 2) Very responsive to questions – either via email, text, or via phone calls 3) Tammy spends a lot of time with the patient – far more than I’ve seen at other dentists. This time is spent explaining what she is doing, what you can do to prevent future issues, etc. 4) Tammy does not ‘sell’ unnecessary dental procedures to you. This again differs from other dentists I’ve seen in NYC (who seem to want you undergo unnecessary treatments so they can get more dollars). 5) Good chair side manner.

I am so thankful to have Dr Tammy Chen as my dentist. She is patient and explains everything before she does it and provides options (when available). She is extremely personable which helps to relax you in the chair. I have recommended her to friends and colleagues. She’s a gem!

I’ve had a lot of dental work and this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had. The office is clean, modern and beautiful. Dr. Chen is extremely professional, knowledgeable and straight forward. I really appreciated her kindness and honesty. She’s very personable which definitely makes going to the dentist easier!! Her office manager, Sheri, was also great! She guided me through all of my dental insurance and was very transparent about anything I would have to pay ahead of time. The assistants were all just as professional and friendly. I’ve had a few great visits now and I would really recommend the office to anyone.

There’s really no upside to cracking a tooth, except if you have a fabulous dentist Dr Tammy Chen and staff. The office is beautiful, the work is very skilled precise and excellent! The patient care is top-notch ! Thanks Dr Tammy Chen for fitting me in and taking me upstairs to the Endodontist in the building and participating in the consultation! And thanks for all the beautiful dental work over the year and and new teeth !

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Chen! She has spent more time with me- listening to my concerns, explaining procedures, & ensuring i’m happy- than any other provider that I’ve been to. She is meticulous and does everything in her power to ensure that her cosmetic work turns out beautiful. Her results far exceeded my hopes & I am ecstatic! Having had previous botched cosmetic work, I was so relieved to find someone who cares so much about her patients & about getting it right. She is truly a perfectionist and it is entirely to her patients’ benefit. In addition, I experienced no pain at all through the entire process (which included gum surgery). She also happens to be friendly, down to earth, & easy to talk to- which makes appointments go by really quickly. She is amazing !
