Wow this is a great place.  If I could give them 6 stars I would.  I had a lot of work done including most of my upper teeth capped. All will be addressed in the most professional manner possible. Dr Barbosa has done a great job assisting me with my dental needs including a recent emergency, after hours that required a root canal and a new crown. Edith is my hygiene specialist who does an excellent job keeping my teeth and gums healthy and clean. Edith also gives great advice for at home techniques that are tailored to your specific needs.

I had a really good experience yesterday! I have been looking for a place to go to for a while that takes my insurance and so glad I found them. They were very knowledgeable, everything was clean and the staff was very sweet. Dr. Barbosa’s office has the most amazing, polite, and helpful staff! I was having some bad tooth pain and they found a way to fit me into the schedule the same day. Letty at the front desk is a awesom!!! My appointment went smoothly, they handled getting the dental insurance information for the estimates, and they even called the orthodontist (to which I was referred) to make my appointment. Somehow they even got an appointment for an emergency procedure (to help with the pain) the same day. i have extreme anxiety when it comes to dental work and so i’ve hardly been able to have any procedures done due to this. today i went to get a tooth pulled, as its been causing me excruciating pain lately. the dentists were so nice, i had a massive anxiety attack after being given my anaesthetics and the woman dentist (sorry i didn’t catch her name) held my hand and rubbed my back and got me water and showed me pictures of her dog until i felt better. the male dentist was very kind during the procedure as well. very thankful that my first big dental procedure was at a place as caring as city dental!

Dr. Ernesto Barbosa, DMD, is not only a very skilled dentist, he is very kind, gentle and caring.  He has taken out two of my molars. After the pain medication, I felt absolutely no pain as he removed the teeth.  He also communicates well and is genuinely concerned for the well being of his patients. The whole staff is wonderful too.  I came in about 15 minutes early to my 11:00 am appointment and they let me get the anesthesia five minutes before 11:00.  I asked for written follow up instructions, and they were neatly and concisely typed on a paper that was stapled to the gauze.  Best dentist I have ever had.

So far I really like this dental location. We use them for braces only. The previous dentist was an older man who since retired. This man was extremely old school kind. He smiled. Took his time to talk to the kids. Joke with them. Although he spent time with your child in just putting them at ease our appointments were rarely if ever late. Since then this location moved to their new location on sahara and Nellis. And the older Dentist has retired. The new dentist Ernesto Barbosa is a younger man who although is not as chatty as the older dentist, but no less professional. In fact he studies each patient even more than the previous dentist. He reviews their chart and really makes sure the teeth are going in the right direction. Both my children has told me “I really like the new dentist. He really checks out my teeth!” This makes me feel very confident in his work. I feel if your looking for a braces dentist Dr Barbosa is your man. He throughly explains procedures, he throughly checks the progress of your teeth and overall get that perfect smile. The review of the staff: they are awesome. Not one person have I came across in the 2 years Ive been consistantly seeing them (for braces) have had a “bad” day in their work establishment. Ive never seen any staff mad, Ive never seen any staff “talk gossip” on anyone, and everytime they see us they genuinely smile. Especially the staff that have been here since the beginning. Would I recommend them…yes for sure. We have never had cleaning through them just braces.

I was recommended to City Dental after I moved to the area and I’ve not regretted it yet! I’ve seen both Dr. Barbosa and Dr. Momtaz and both are terrific. They’re personable and takes the time to address any concerns. I had two crowns and a few fillings replaced all of which I had no issues with. I typically see Edith as my hygienist and she’s always thorough but gentle. Please give them a try if you’re looking for a dentist and Orthodontist. They’re awesome!
