I am not a calm dental patient. I was extremely happy to find that the entire staff made my many visits as enjoyable as possible. I love my hygienist! She is friendly and professional. She is also very patient with my many issues. All of the assistants are amazing. They work so hard to make sure that you are relaxed and comfortable. Dr. T took the time to explain and allowed me many breaks (I have TMJ) I would highly recommend this office. Although I prefer NOT to have any work done, it’s awesome to know that when I do, I won’t need to worry about the care I receive.

In all the years of going to the dentist I have never had an experience like the one at couture smiles. I was recommend to Contour Smiles, from a close friend. As soon as I walked in, Mayle and Irma at the desk greeted me properly with a smile, I was also greeted by Jan and Paige! I had my cleaning done first and the hygienist Nisha was so accommodating and gentle. Listening to my dental history and my current concerns regarding my teeth, I was introduce Dr. Teteryan who performed a thorough exam giving me several options for treatment plan to give me what I wanted. Dr. Gordon stopped in to collaborate and came up with a game plan regarding implant treatment for my missing teeth. Moving forward I can now have the healthy good looking smile I’ve always wanted.

I found Dr. Armen by word-of-mouth… and he is excellent. This was probably the best experience I’ve had at a dentist. I moved here from Ohio and needed a new dentist because my front veneer fell off. He fixed me up as good as new. The whole staff is very friendly and makes you feel right at home. I love the fact that he explains everything he’s going to do before he does it and makes sure it’s ok with you. They walk you through everything. Also, the office is very bright and clean. I highly recommend Dr. Armen and his staff. It is nice to have a dentist who cares as much about my comfort and is so good.

I had been seeing Dr. Terteryan for several years and I just saw Dr. Sazgar who has taken over his practice. The hygienist had found a crack in a tooth and said I might need a crown. Dr. Sazgar examined me and said she didn’t think a crown was necessary and that it should be watched to see what happens. She was extremely friendly and easy to talk to and took all the time necessary. It’s comforting to be in the hands of a dentist I trust.

YOU WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A BETTER DENTIST. This review is coming from someone who had her entire upper mouth redone. All back crowns and 6 veneers on front teeth. I AM SO HAPPY WITH MY SERVICES I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START. Firstly, on my initial visit, in a matter of a few minutes Dr. T corrected a bite that other dentists had told me couldn’t be fixed. And the same day my chewing was balanced, and tension in jaw relieved. Then we proceeded to replace old crowns. The Lab dr. T uses for crowns uses the same beautiful material used for veneers and is metal free, which i was ecstatic about. First crown came back, and the color wasn’t and exact match, so Dr. T promptly sent it back. He will not settle for anything less than perfection and has eyes like a hawk.

ON Tuesday March 17 Dr Sazgar Made a special trip to her office from her home to do a critical repair for me. I had the 4 tooth crown on my front lower bridge come off. It left me with a huge gap as well as two sharp pins that held them in place. In this critical time with the virus concerns being high, it was a exceeding thoughtful thing to do. Many Dentists have closed their practice for several weeks and I had no where to turn. The repair being made quickly allowed me to return to my life. Uggh. The Dentist! Going to a dentist is scary. Going to a cosmetic dentist to scarier. Going to a cosmetic dentist to REDO my veneers — well, let’s just say I was shaking with trepidation! My prior dentist rushed the process. My veneers were off color and too large. On a scale of horrible to perfection, it was mediocre. Who wants mediocre for a smile? I was referred to Dr. Terteryan and went in for a consultation. He spent more than 90 minutes with me and explained my options, including braces. More importantly, he asked an orthodontist from his building and another dentist from his office for second opinions. I left his office confused but armed with information. He didn’t pressure me to make an immediate decision. Also, he wasn’t thinking about making money. He told me what I’ve known all along– the best solution is 6-8 months of braces. If I choose to go with cosmetic surgery, he would use the best resources to give me a natural, comfortable smile. I decided against braces. I’m 36 and not about to go into hiding for a year. Dr. Terteryan and his team provided unparalleled service. They understood my work schedule and accommodating me accordingly. They guided me when they realized I was confused and not ready to make a final decision. They were patient. They were knowledgeable. They were personable.

I was impressed by the friendly staff at Couture Smiles. From the moment I walked in, they greeted me with enthusiasm, and are genuinely nice people. They have the new digital x-ray machines that produce super sharp digital photos that can be enlarged to the size of the computer screen, so you can see exactly what the problem is. We were able to spot nerve infections in my teeth that my previous dentist missed because they use the old film x-rays that are the size of a postage stamp. This large size allowed us to see the source of the pain in my teeth,, and now I’ll be going in for further work. Dr. Terteryan is a very measured, calm and professional dentist, who explained clearly to me what my issue is, and is making every effort to preserve my teeth.

Although I only had a routine dental exam and teeth cleaned and full mouth x-rays, I was very impressed with the office and the office staff. My experience with your staff and Dr. from the first phone call to the moment I walked out the door was superb. I was treated like a queen and felt very comforted by the entire staff. I never like going to the dentist and this time was no exception. Having my teeth worked on is torture for me in that the whole time it feels like fingernails on a chalkboard and I’m holding my body with that kind of tension for the duration of the exam and cleaning. I wanted to share my experience with Dr Terteryan. I kept breaking my upper anterior teeth due to my grinding. After meeting with Dr T., we decided to do 8 veneers on my upper teeth. Being a cosmetic dentist myself, I had done a lot of research on who I would let work on my teeth. Believe it or not I am also nervous being a patient! Much easier giving a shot than receiving it! I get nervous when I go to the dentist! I always go to my cleaning appointments regularly. My hygienist is Pareya. She is fantastic! She does a wonderful job & is very gentle! On my last appointment I was given the opportunity to try a new dentist in the office. His name is Dr. Salmassian. It turned out that I needed to have 2 old crowns replaced! I just finished today having my new crowns put in. I was so nervous about having my old crowns removed but Dr. Sal was so gentle & made the experience so much easier than I believed it would be! He was incredibly concerned that I was at all times during the procedure comfortable!!! I love all the staff in the office! The girls up front are so friendly & lovely! A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
The practice was originally established in the 1970's with Dr. Di Capua and was eventually taken over by Dr. Norman Shapiro who not only provided general dentistry but also advanced the practice in complex dental treatment involving full mouth reconstruction, cosmetic and implant dentistry. In 1986 Dr. Gordon our periodontist, joined the practice with a specialty in treating gum disease and implant placement. In 2005 Dr. Shapiro retired due to illness but left the practice to a young talented doctor by the name of Armen Terteryan. Dr. Terteryan is considered by his peers to have taken over a well established and successful practice to new heights. His background, continued education, ethics, and knowledge of dentistry of propelled to be very well like by his patients, peers, friends and family. Furthermore, Dr. Butterworth, a specialist in TMJ treatment, joined the practice in 2007and add further knowledge to the practice with his 55 years of experience in the Valley. Dr. Terteryan is a talented Dentist who combines the art of aesthetic dentistry with the latest techniques and technological innovations to provide a wide range of versatile dentistry to suit your needs. In the past, Dr. Terteryan was a clinical instructor at the USC School of Dentistry. He earned his undergraduate and DDS degrees at the University of Southern California. Pursuing his specialized interest in cosmetic restorations, he continued his education by acquiring a number of certifications and credentials in this field, including post-doctorate residencies in advanced occlusion and prosthodontics at the School of Esthetic Professionals. Dr. Terteryan’s passion and commitment to his craft has made him one of the leading cosmetic dentists in his field. As a leader and innovator in his profession, he is committed to education and keeps his team apprised of all of the new clinical techniques and recent technological advancements in dentistry.
