I felt comfortable and no surprises in terms of cost as they were very good at letting me know what to expect prior to my visit. The staff was very professional in sending emails and text messages about my appointment. This is my first time here but I’ve already scheduled my cleaning for next week. I’m thankful and I’m so grateful on so many levels for this visit. Ask yourself, “when has your dentist performed a routine oral examination for abnormalities or oral cancer?” Scary-yes, but when Dr. Yuan did that for me- it showed that he cared enough to let me know how important it was to do so. I feel really good about this office.

Dentist Robert Yuan and his team are consistently pleasant and delightful each time I come in. Their relaxed way of being actually prompts me to clear my mind and settle into the chair while they work. I’ve been coming here for almost 2 years now. Dr. Yuan is fantastic! He takes his time to explain everything and I never feel rushed. Dr. Yuan knows his stuff and he sincerely looks out for your teeth. Getting an appointment was really easy (I did it over the phone, but they have an online appointment system). And at the appointment I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes and they’re super efficient with things.

Dr. Robert Yuan is thoughtful and thorough. Explains every single step, very friendly, and continually checks on how you’re doing throughout the exam. I had cavities refilled one morning, and he even called me the same evening, after work hours, to see if the cavities he filled were doing ok, whether the numbness went away, and how the bite was etc. So professional and absolutely incredible.

I needed a checkup since it had been a few years since I’d had my teeth looked at, and I wasn’t sure if a cavity was forming on one of my molars. (Partner dentist) and Dr. Yuan made the visit very comfortable. I think it was their calm and warm demeanor that made me feel at ease since, in general, I don’t enjoy going to the dentist. After they examined me, they also took the time to explain in detail my options as far as treatment plans went without pressuring me into doing anything. The waiting area and the office is clean, and the receptionist is welcoming and professional. Overall, a positive experience.

I’ve been to Dr. Yuan 4-5 times now and he’s been great. I even took my 3 year old to him for his first check up and he did awesome. He explains things clearly, he’s gentle while working and is always aware of my comfort level. Good conversation too! Helped me to find the best time to schedule my appointments during the weekdays (due to work I have a tight schedule), calling me the day before to confirm my assistance and providing all the real cost and necessary information to make the decision of which treatment fits best for me. Doctor Yuan, a knowledgeable and professional person, really honest with my diagnosis, provided every single detail of the procedure, said exactly what I needed to get done. Haha I never thought I was going to say this, but it was a relaxing time going to the dentist in my lunch time and get my head out of work for a bit! (…)Tuesday night I lost one pair of my Invisalign trays (so stupid, I left them on a dining table in a restaurant and they were dumped by a server when I turned back). On Wednesday Dr.Yuan and his assistant made an emergency appointment for me immediately—-he was always fully booked but he arranged everything to fix my own mistake—-and Dr. Yuan spent more than 40 minutes on my routine Invisalign check, adjustment and gave me new pairs of trays to wear. I have zero doubt but fully trust Dr.Yuan and all his assistants. We are so glad to find him and Culver Family Dentistry.

Very satisfied with this dentist! I came for a regular check-up and cleaning. In all of the years that I’ve been routinely going to the dentist, including when I went around 2x a month with braces, I’ve never had such a thorough and well done cleaning. Everyone in the office is highly professional, intelligent, and polite. Everything was explained to me up-front; I knew right away what cavities and problems I may have, how much the insurance covers, etc. Copies of all documents, upon request, were given to me. I’m very happy with the service I received and actually look forward to going back to fix a cavity. 🙂

Dr. Yuan has been my dentist for the past few years and all my visits have been great. Let me start by saying…I have always feared going to the dentist. With other dentists, there was always a high level of anxiety during my visits. However, Dr. Yuan is very professional and makes me feel so comfortable that I actually don’t mind getting my teeth cleaned and worked on. He is very informative and tells me what he is doing every step of the way. I appreciate that he educates me about dental health and hygiene. He is also great at explaining to me what all my options are when it comes to treatment.
When I chipped a tooth, he did such a great job fixing it. He had to give me a numbing shot (which I am so fearful of), but it didn’t bother me at all. I was surprised that I didn’t feel any discomfort with the shot. After that, I knew I was in good hands.

Robert S. Yuan, DMD has been practicing dentistry for 14 years. Dr. Yuan obtained his degree in Biochemistry from the University of California at Berkeley and then proceeded to do a research fellowship at the prestigious Yale University. Dr. Yuan pursued and obtained his doctorate in 2002 from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
