During this time, Dr. Moukarim has proven that he is very knowledgeable about dentistry and takes the time to share this knowledge with patients and staff. I understand that we all are is some type of business, that we make a living from something. Nevertheless, having a human touch or caring about what we do goes a long way. That’s what I felt when I came to Dental Illusions, I felt that they cared about me. Even from the moment I called to set up an appointment I noticed the difference between this clinic and the others I visited before. This was my first dental appointment since COVID-19. I felt very safe and they were taking all of the precautions. Temperature at the door, survey, masks on, no one in the waiting room, partitions, air purifier next to the chair, wiped down googles before they gave them to you. They even adjusted practice so that you didn’t walk around the clinic to go get X-ray. They did the X-ray in your exam room. The cleaning was all done by hand to avoid aerosolization. I felt they were doing a great job during this difficult time.

This is my first review for a dental office but both times I’ve been there has been very pleasant. I like Debbie. She is gentle yet very effective and most importantly she used the suction tool often. I hate having extra saliva in my mouth..she told me the areas I should work on but she wasn’t lecturing or judging in anyway. I definitely would go to her again.

We are new patients. Both my husband and I have had poor experiences at other dentists, so we have been looking around for awhile. We had cleanings and fillings done at West U Family Dental. They are prompt, efficient, good prices, accept insurance, courteous with a personal touch, and have clients such as the Houston Texans. My husband was so comfortable that he fell asleep during his cleaning. There was only slight discomfort when I had my fillings, and a few hours later I went to the gym and had a nice family dinner outing. Thank God we found great dentists and great hygenists!

I have always been invested in my dental care. From a young age, I got cleanings twice a year and was diligent to extend that practice into adulthood. As a kid, I had a great family dentist and when they retired, I was scared to find a new one. Enter Dr. Moukarim and his great team! My dental hygienist, Ms. K, is friendly and diligent. The front office staff, Mykal (Michael), is so helpful and exceedingly kind. Additionally, the office has great hours! I’m usually able to get my cleanings at 6:30A, before work. That’s such a help. If you’re looking for a new dentist, look no further, these are the people to go to! They make going to the dentist a trip to look forward to, I kid you not. I’ve been going there for years, and recommend them to all of my friends, my entire family now drives into town to go there. Even since I have moved out of state, I prefer to fly back to Houston to get treatment as well! Everyone at this practice is incredibly professional, super friendly, and very caring about your comfort. They are also dedicated to getting you the treatment that you need done right. If you are having problems with your teeth, they conservatively develop a treatment plan which will preserve your natural teeth as much as possible. Whenever I’ve had emergency painful situations, they have always strived to work me into their schedule ASAP. 11/15/20 update: all the below is still true AND the staff have been committed to getting patients the care and dental cleanings needed safely through COVID. I have been to the office 3 times for a cleaning and 2 retainers. I’ve seen the pen I used at the front desk sanitized immediately, have never passed a non staff member in the office or waiting room and they have made some other changes with xrays and tools to limit the number of surfaces that would be contacted. You are safe in their hands. I have been to Dental Illusions for 3-4 cleanings over the last 2 years, and had my first procedure this morning. For those of you that are skimming, the overall summary of the below is that the staff is super friendly and professional, Dr. Moukarim is excellent at what he does and I highly recommend you try them out. This is the first dentist that I would actually be sad to have to leave and one that i have personally recommended to my coworkers. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt like i could say this is “my” dentist. You only see Dr. Moukarim briefly after routine cleanings and he is friendly and chats with you and has my type of humor! Today I got some quality chair time with him for a cavity and a redo of an old filling next to it to make the teeth fit together better. As many people do i kind of psych myself out with needles/shots. Dr. Moukarim is so great I didn’t really feel anything! He has awesome chair-side manner and makes the whole process as stress free as possible. I have always had great service by everyone there. Since before my very first visit Michael was so sweet and went the extra mile to help me get my primary care dentist changed with my insurance prior to my appointment that was in a couple days. She has always been friendly and in a good mood. It’s hard to describe how she does it but talking with her about scheduling, insurance questions, and other very basic stuff she makes you feel like you are talking to a friend. The office waiting room is really nice and comfy but i’m never in there more than 5 min before i get called back. The dental techs are great with cleanings and get you in and out. During one cleaning I asked the tech about mouth wash, she gave me some advice on selecting something effective that wasn’t too strong and a sample. Most recently I mentioned I was having dry mouth and the tech provided samples of two rinse options that might help.
