I have been going to Dentistry at 1818 since I moved here from Ohio in 2008. They are hands down the most competent, friendly, thorough, thoughtful, and prompt dental office I have ever experienced in my 58 years. I now live over a hour away in Central Bucks county, but it is well worth the drive. Dr. Siegel and Dr. Doblin are the best, as is Drew and every other person who works there. I am currently in treatment for throat cancer and will be going thru radiation next month. I had to have an oral evaluation at U Penn and the oral surgeon said my dental work was outstanding–the best she had ever seen and asked me where I went and I proudly boasted Dentistry at 1818 Market Street.

Been visiting this office for–can it be?–more than 20 years. The team here is so professional, talented, and kind that I have continued to go here even though I have long since moved to the suburbs. It’s not convenient to slog back into the city for my appointments–but THAT’S how good Dr. Leas, Dr. Siegel, Shari, and the whole staff are.

I have been going to Dentistry at 1818 Market Street for about 15 years.  I have seen both Dr. Lees and Dr. Siegel for periodic check ups and Dr. Doblin for some periodontal issues.  In addition, I have seen several dental hygienists over the years.  I have had various procedures done from routine cleanings, a couple crowns to a gum graft.  The appointment times are almost always prompt and the office appears very neat and clean.  EVERYONE in the office has ALWAYS been very friendly towards me.  Dr. Lees’ pleasant disposition and the friendly office environment make going to the dentist a positive experience!

This dental practice is getting my full support AND 5 starts! The staff and dental professionals are kind, patient, friendly, available and knowledgeable… they can tell you EXACTLY what your procedure will cost! this was a first!! I have never ever been to a doctor, hospital or dentist that can tell you what the service is going to cost in advance!. THESE GUYS CAN and DO! I was actually cheering at my dentist appointment.. doubt that happens often. my extreme gratitude Dr. Siegel and staff. Thank you!

I love this dental office. I’ve been going here for roughly 20 years and always have a good experience (well it is a dentist office, so I can’t say it’s fun). But seriously, the staff is always nice and welcoming, the hygenists have always been great to talk to and sensitive with my teeth and Dr. Siegel is great! I have also been in the office lately and they have taken numerous precautions with Covid. I felt very safe and comfortable. If you need a dentist, I recommend this practice.

This is Dr. Siegel and I’m responding to a recent review. We here at Dentistry at 1818 Market Street try to treat every patient with the utmost skill and respect that they deserve. I, of course, feel bad when a relationship does not work out. If there is ever and issue with my work, I am here to help out in whatever capacity that I can. I’m sorry that the patient who posted today feels this way, but if it had been brought to my attention, I would have been happy to help. Here at Dentistry at 1818 Market Street we have preformed wonderfully for the community and my patients. We continue to strive for the very best performance day in and day out. Thanks you for taking the time to read my review.

I have been going to Dr. Siegel for many, many years now, and have been extremely pleased with the care and service at this business. I recently went here for my regular six-month check-up, but for the first time during the COVID-19 pandemic. The office has you wait outside in an external, spacious lobby and takes your temperature before you can enter the actual office. They have added thick plastic door coverings on each patient room. The dental hygienist wears a mask and face shield. I feel that they have taken appropriate steps to protect themselves and their patients against COVID transmission. Dr. Siegel is great, as are all of the dental hygienists and office staff. Very highly recommend.

Today was my first visit to this practice. They were great about covid precautions and I felt very safe. My hygienist was Shari and she was recommended to me by a friend and lived up to my high expectations. I managed a dental practice for almost 20 years so I know a good hygienist and well run office when I see one. I immediately texted my local family members and told them to schedule appointments with Shari. My only reservation is if I speak too highly of her it’ll be harder for me to get a future appointment, but she is deserving of the praise so I’ll spread the word.

Best Dental Experience Ever Very Friendly. Got Right Down To The Issue And What To Do To Fix Them. One Of The Ladies At The Front Desk Went The Extra Mile In Helping Me Get My Oral Surgeon Appointment Setup I Am Ignorant When It Comes Insurance Policies And Stuff But They Helped Very Well Done

It’s a long time since I could say it’s been a pleasure going to the dentist. Dr. Siegel and Carry are an amazing team! The work they are capable of doing is extraordinary and the quality of work is impeccable. During my procedures they have kept me up to date and communicated thoroughly before continuing to the next step, so there are no surprises. Dr. Siegel and Carry are extremely friendly, comforting and an absolute joy to work with. I would certainly recommend this Dentistry.

The best dentist practice in Center City Philadelphia. I have been going to Dr Siegel for almost ten years. He was my first dentist almost ten years ago after I had bad veneer work from another dentist. Dr Siegel worked magic on my smile. So much so that everyone I meet complements me on my beautiful smile. The dental assistants are amazing and the staff for check ins as well. I have also seen Dr Leas and he is just so great. The way this office accommodates you in any type of emergency or quick appointment is fantastic. Make this dentistry practice your forever place to go! Small family feel in a big city. more then 5 stars for this great crew!

I am extremely happy with the service I receive at Dentistry at 1818 Market Street. The professionalism and friendliness of the entire team is outstanding! My hygienist Danielle was very nice, did a great job cleaning my teeth and is very informative. Dr. Siegel does a very thorough exam and is always willing to answer my questions. Dr. Doblin did 2 implant surgeries and both were painless. Both Dr. Doblin and his assistant Nicki made me feel very comfortable. I was impressed with how important it was to them that I was comfortable during the process. Thank you to the entire top notch staff at Dentistry at 1818 Market Street for always showcasing excellent care to my dental needs!

As with most people, going to the dentist is never an experience I pine for. The fear is heightened when the need to switch to a new dentist altogether arrises. Such was the case for my first visit to 1818. Fears were quickly abated when I met with the staff. All professional, kind, gentle, and informative. From the xrays to checking out with the front desk, the entire visit was one that made me realize I had chosen the right practice. I would certainly recommend 1818 to anyone looking for a dentist in center city

I, like many other red-blooded Americans, absolutely loathe going to the dentist. I hate having to wear that paper bib, I hate the sound of the grinding, I hate the scary looking tools they have on the tray next to you, and I hate getting in trouble for being bad about flossing :/ However, I seem to fancy my teeth and would like to not have dentures by the time I am 40, so I drag myself to the dentist twice a year. So I am happy to say I LOVE having 1818 Dentistry as my dentist! They actually make the visits to the dentist bearable. Crazy, I know. First and foremost, I really like the staff. I like that I’ve had the same hygienist (Kelsey)for the last 3 years and with the exception of maybe one visit, the same dentist (Dr Siegal). I recently went in for a broken filling and they fixed me up and got me on my way in a jiffy. Oh, and to elaborate on that- they are ON TOP of being on time. Make sure you are courteous enough to get your rear there on time and they will return the favor by getting you in and out. Another thing I really like about this dentist is how they embrace technology. They will send you multiple reminder emails about visits, they have a great website that you can use to schedule or reschedule appointments, and will send you text messages with important announcements (i.e. when they closed for Hurricane Sandy). If you need a dentist and you have easy access to center city, I would definitely give Dentistry at 1818 Market a shot. And ask for Kelsey as your hygienist!

I never thought I would say this about going to the dentist lol, but it is a pleasure to see Dr. Siegel and his staff. Everyone has been extremely nice, knowledgable, and professional every time I have visited his office. Recently, I had to have a couple of emergency visits and procedures above and beyond a check up and cleaning, and his staff fit me right in – and Dr. Siegel has been awesome in explaining the procedures and what would happen in each step. If you are looking for a dentist in the Philadelphia area, I would without hesitation recommend Dr. Siegel!

I have an absolutely debilitating fear of the dentist, like crying in my office when I think about making a dentist appointment fear. Going to the dentist for me is a two-day affair, because it takes me about a day after to purge my body of all of my anxiety. This resulted in me avoiding the dentist for about five years, including three years after I chipped a molar in half. Obviously, this is not good for my dental health and after three years, I had a serious problem with that tooth. I went to a dentist in South Philadelphia who, upon finding out I used a medium toothbrush, compared my gums to a part of my body a toothbrush should never be, somehow implying that it would be fine to use a soft bristled toothbrush there (I will not spell this out for you, but use your imagination). Then, while I cried and shook on the dentist chair, she showed me a live video feed of the tooth–making me feel like I was falling into the Great Pit of Carkoon with no escape in sight. Needless to say, I did not go back to her, and it was another year until incredible tooth pain sent me to Dr. Siegel at 1818 Dentistry at the recommendation of a friend. Dr. Siegel and his hygienists fixed me right up (over the course of a year, due to my own neglect), all the while talking in soothing tones and making a huge effort to keep me as calm as possible, which didn’t always work, but I totally appreciated the effort. They explained everything to me, got as much done as they could in as few appointments as possible (I think so they could make sure I still came back), and eventually fixed my mouth all up. Going to the dentist will never be a pleasant or even okay for me, but the staff at 1818 Dentistry makes it at least bearable, which is all I can hope for! I also appreciate the electronic reminders of upcoming appointments (as I have a tendency to block such things out of my mind).

I had a cavity that had been filled by another dentist that was just not feeling right– the filling bothered me for a year.  The other dentist filed it down twice but it still was hurting all the time.  Based on recommendations from my coworkers, my husband and I decided to go to 1818 and we both had good experiences– my filling feels 100% better now.  The office staff is great [even when you are a pain and have to move appointments around a million times like me], service is prompt and painless, and the medical staff is supportive and knowledgeable.  They checked my insurance and made sure that was all good before I came in– same with my husband [who has notoriously difficult to work with PFT insurance].

★★★★★

They are a great dentist, it took me a while after moving to Philadelphia to find a dentist I liked, but Dr. Siegel, the hygienists, and the front desk are all great. The only down side is they are difficult to schedule with, I suppose due to high demand (almost all hygienist slots are filled 6 months out), and their latest evening appointments are at 4:30p, but otherwise I have been pretty happy with them. I have a complicated insurance policy, and the front was very helpful in sorting through it and figuring it all out when I started coming here years ago.

Love this place! Always friendly and efficient! Dr. Siegal is caring and thoughtful, always taking the time to sit down and explain anything needed as well. Barbara Walters is by far the best hygienist I’ve even been to as well!! She is thorough and has been the only one to be able to get my teeth plaque free in the trouble areas AND without feeling likes extracting my teeth with it. Very happy to be going here and would definitely recommend!

Dr. Jonathan Siegel and his staff are amazing. Everyone is genuinely happy and friendly. I truly enjoy coming to this office. I was at my previous dentist office for 25 years so changing to a new dentist was really scary for me. Dr. Siegel was amazing from initial consult, pleasant cleanings and gentle fillings. I am so glad to call Dentistry at 18181 Market Street my dentist office. Thank you Dr. Siegel and team!

I’ve been a patent at 1818 for over 10 years, can’t imagine going anywhere else. I have had every procedure in the book done between my teeth and gums, my latest adventure being implants.  Both Dr. Siegel and Dr. Doblin are both compassionate as well as professional, never have a doubt that I will have a bad experience, Carry works wonders, don’t know what I would do without her being there, also the reception staff, always pleasant and accommodating. Would recommend them to anyone, especially if you are anxious about going to the dentist, like I used to be but the atmosphere and staff are so that you will feel like you are visiting friends.

Thanks so much for a professional, helpful, and clean environment! I was a little weary to see a review about the front desk being rude, but they were so nice! They got me right in to see Dr. Siegel and with a smile! The hygienist was so sweet and funny! You’re probably not supposed to laugh while they work on your mouth, but I did! They were all great and I look forward to seeing them again soon. Great experience!

Fantastic, friendly, and professional staff. I seldom wait more than a couple minutes for my appointment. COVID-19 protocols are solid, as they use masks and face shield. They also upgraded to a tooth-polishing device that doesn’t aerosolize saliva. My partner’s dentist did not make such an upgrade, thus she was unable to get her teeth polished during the pandemic. I also find that their check-in and check-out processes, as well as their reminder/notification systems are particularly efficient compared to those of other dental offices I’ve frequented.

This is only me second cleaning with this office, but this is the most relaxed I’ve ever felt at any dentist office. They found great solutions for keeping patients socially distanced while still being efficient. My hygienist was very compliantly about my oral hygiene (i maybe an adult, but a “great job!” always feels good) and explained everything she was doing as it was happening. And they were even able to set up a second appointment to fix a filling before my insurance runs.

I’ve been to many dentists in center city and also in the suburbs. I love this office, appointments are quick (meaning efficient but not rushed) & on time (even if I’m a few minutes late), and I never feel like they are trying to “sell” me cosmetic services I don’t need/can’t afford. (A problem I’ve had at other places.) The office is always busy & that makes it efficient. I love my hygienist too, we have a good relationship and she always remembers where we left off – medically & personally.  (I see Dr. Siegel.)

I’ve been going to 1818 Dentistry for the last two years and have had nothing but great experiences. Appointments start right on time, the staff is super friendly, the hygienist who has done my last several cleanings is attentive and caring, and Dr. Siegel is great. It’s the first time in many years that I’ve legitimately looked forward to going to the dentist and am appreciative to have found a practice that I plan to stay with for years to come.

Went here years ago when I worked across the street, and have had many dentists since, so I don’t remember my previous experiences here. The other day I had a crown come off and my current dentist, Dr. Richard Eidelson, was not available. However, he recommended I reach out to Dr. Jonathan Siegel at Dentistry at 1818 Market Street to see if they could squeeze me in. I called the next day and got a very convenient afternoon appointment for the same day. Although it wasn’t cheap to fix the crown since I don’t have dental insurance ($265), Dr. Siegel and staff were very kind, courteous, quick, and helpful. It was one of the most pleasant dental experiences I can recall. I highly recommend them if their location is convenient for you (there’s a trolley/subway stop there) and especially if you have dental insurance.

Supremely happy with this dental office. While parking in Philadelphia gives me major anxiety, I’ll gladly pay parking garage fees in order to go to this dental office. They were recommended by a friend after a long run of bad appointments with my local dental office. I went there to get an issue checked out a few weeks ago. We talked about several possibilities, and decided to have a specialist down the street check on me. They called several offices until someone was able to get me in right away, because I live 45 mins from town. They went above and beyond to help me- every employee that I had communication with was wonderful. I had my cleaning this morning, with Shari, the hygienist and she was fabulous! I absolutely loved her. She did an incredibly thorough job and was so kind, understanding and knowledgeable. I can’t say enough nice things about their office and I’m so glad I was referred to them.

I was so impressed by this dentistry office. First of all I was able to get a quick appointment for an urgent matter. The front desk assistants are delightful and extremely nice and helpful. They are upfront about costs and they accept a wide variety of dental insurances. Dr. Siegel was kind and on point as well as his dental assistant! Wonderful experience! Highly recommended. What a wonderful environment.

Great first experience! I am a new patient. The receptionist was very sweet, all the staff is super nice. Received clear and great advice. I didn’t have to wait long at all. They just had an opening while I was getting a routine check up for a teeth cleaning and asked if I wanted to get my teeth cleaned as well since it was covered by my insurance. I have been to many many dentists offices and this was probably the most pleasant.

Thanks so much for taking  care of an emergency dental situation that could have ruined a vacation. I had a temporary tooth fall out while in Philadelphia and I live in chicago. A friend recommended this dentist to me. Now, I have been going there for years. I recommend them to everyone! Since moving to this area I tried so many dentists. I found many to be untrustworthy. It’s almost like every time they looked in my mouth, I felt they were looking for money. I even went to a dentist that told me I had all these cavities, so I came here for a second opinion, and they told me I didn’t have any! To me, dentists were like crooks, almost as bad as mechanics.  I love these dentist because they are not aggressive whatsoever. All their work looks natural, and I’m always happy with the results. Every time I go, I get a clean bill of health. They make it easy and relaxing to go to the dentist every six months. The dental hygienists are very friendly. I recently moved across the bridge, but I will still be loyal to this dentist.

I have been going there for 2 years since I started my new job in center city, and it is only 2 blocks away from my office. My dentist Dr. Siegel has a warm personality and always talks to me making me feel less nervous. His assistant Catlin is a sweet girl, who did my teeth cleaning twice. I am veey satisfied with the staff’s professionalism and kindness there. It is definitely my go-to dentistry as long as I stick around the center city!

A co-worker raved about this dental office a few years back when I stated I needed a new dental office…I have since been raving about this same practice to my friends and co-workers since becoming part of their patient family…I cannot express how KIND, HONEST and PROFESSIONAL all of the staff are!!!…They really are phenomenal!!!

I absolutely loved my experience here! The front desk staff was extremely efficient and professional. I arrived 15 minutes early for my first appointment and was seen exactly on time! That doesn’t usually happen at any office! The hygienist, Shari, and dentist, Dr. Siegel, were so very nice. They really cared about my experience and making it relaxed and helpful. They answered all my questions and put me at ease. I will definitely continue my dental care with this office. The best part is that I not only got a text to remind me of my appointment, but I also received a call as a reminder, even though that is my responsibility and not there’s! Professional and courteous! Thank you! 2 thumbs way up!
